The Space

Awesome cozy apartment near Shinjuku!
In Nakano, just 7 minutes by train to Shinjuku!!
On the Tokyo METRO MARUNOCHI Line.
ONLY 5 minutes on foot to the nearest station.
Great deal for your own apartment in Tokyo.

NAKANO is a NICE, QUIET, spot in Tokyo and very conveniently located. So close to Shinjuku!! Some guests have walked home for fun. I imagine it took 25-30 minutes!

NOTE--------VERY COOL
I have a 2nd small unit in this same building on the 1st floor ( same size as this one ) so if you want to rent 2 apartments with you and your friend(s)- THAT'S POSSIBLE

Live with the locals like a Japanese person. This apartment is just 3 stops on the Marunochi line from Shinjuku. The Marunochi line is the oldest or 2nd oldest train line in Tokyo so it goes to all the main places in the city. It is a residential area with prices for locals. There is a 100¥ store across the street as well as a supermarket so you could eat for not much money if you are on a budget. There are small, delicious restaurants nearby including this great curry place. When I have stayed over here, the people seem friendly and helpful. I really think you would enjoy staying here. Of course you can come and go as you please and there is no curfew.

  • The Will's room is clean, small but almost has everything you need. So I could boil water with the gas when the kettle is not working. There are three or four drug stores or convenience stores, so if you need toothpaste or any other things you could buy it there. It's a three metro stations away from the business area, but you have to transfer another metro line. It's a little annoying when you have to transfer lines after a long day's sign view. But after all I still thankful to have a cozy place to stay at night. and spent the day time to enjoy the beautiful Sakura in the Tokyo.

  • A warm, compact and safe place to sleep for the evening. This apartment is near the local subway line. You will need to take that and do a transfer to get to a JR line. Loved having the grocery and 100 yen store right across the street. Has traffic noise in the daytime but very quiet at night. Best thing about the place is the bright sunlight that comes in each morning. There are at least 3 walls with windows. Will responds very quickly to emails to answer your questions. The portable wifi worked great & is so useful. Thank you so much Will!

  • The room is very compact, but clean and conveniently located. It's good for one person or a couple. Will was very fast to answer any questions. Not sure if the listing mentions it, but the room has a portable wifi gadget which is very handy for connecting a smartphone when out in town.

  • The little apartment was great. It looks exactly like what you see. The apartment had nice little extras, like toiletries and a Lonely Planet Japan book, which proved extremely useful. Also, the portable wifi was FANTASTIC! I could roam the streets of Japan and always (website hidden) maps myself to safety. Cannot stress how great this is enough! Also, printing out Will's itinerary first and clicking through the pictures of how to get to his house REALLY helped. Make sure you do this!

The only minimally down side is that the apartment is located in the Western part of the city, a little further away from the attractions located in the East part of the city. However, the train station was just a a few blocks away so it was easy to get to where I wanted to go. Totally worth the extra commute for the affordability of the apartment.

Will himself was very kind and happy to assist in making my stay the best possible. This was a great experience!

  • Great little place. You get a whole space for yourself and for what it costs - its great. Wills directions are spot on and its just a few stops from Shinjuku. Great deal. Oh, did I say you get a pocket wifi that you can carry around the city included in the price? So here.

  • Will's apartment in Tokyo is super cosy and conveniently located to the metro to get around town. I spent 5 night's at Will's apartment and did not have any problems. Although a little drafty in January, the heater quickly warmed up the studio apartment. The place has everything you need- small kitchenette, fridge, hot pot, hot water heater. I think it would be ok for a couple to stay here, but definitely too small for more than 2 people. Its a short 5-10 minute walk to the subway, which is makes it easy to get everywhere. The neighborhood itself is more on the residential side, so most shops and restaurants were closed by 10pm. But during the day I found several nice places to eat. Will has it easily set-up to do a self check-in, which was convenient for me since I arrived past midnight from the airport. Also the wifi is reliable and fast.

    Response from Will:

Thanks for the reminder Brie.. This place is nearly impossible for 3 people but some couples with a kid do like to squeeze in here. Hope you can come back when it is warmer! Cheers.

  • NAKANO is very good location. shinjuku, shibuya, kichijoji, shimokitazawa all close to house.
And there is very clean. I think that place is the most efficient place, except that there was not toothpaste and olive oil(breakfast is very important).
I loved sunshine of there. Every morning I waked up happily.

  • For my first trip to Tokyo, I wanted to explore the Shinjuku/Shibuya area. I also like to have a quiet and comfortable place to rest and rejuvenate between outings. True to its advertisement, this cozy, little flat was the perfect option for me. Located near a station that is less than a 10 minute subway ride away from Shinjuku station, this place is located in a clean, quite neighborhood, almost immediately near a 100¥ grocery! The apartment was clean, small, and convenient-exactly what I wanted.

Will's instructions and replies were incredibly detailed and exact which made finding and getting into the place an absolute cinch. Every direction given had a time described and many landmarks as well (a tired tourist's dream!). I can't brag enough about Will's meticulousness!

Overall it was an A+ experience: DEFINITELY recommend if what you want is a small, clean flat that is in a quiet neighborhood, but very close to very exciting areas. And of course the host!

  • Prime location and within walking distance from Nakano shimbashi station. The room is very nice and has everything you need. The welcome pack was very helpful and clear. The room is small but is big enough for 2 people, if you don't mind being in close proximity with travel mates. One small complain which to be honest isn't a deal breaker. The drains do smell and can make the bathroom a little unpleasant. But a quick squirt of cleaner will soon sort that out.

In closing this is a very nice place to stay in a lovely quiet part of Tokyo, that is a stones throw away from Shinjuku. Would recommend.

About
I love Tokyo. This place is just indescribably cool. You can stay up all night and find whatever you want, whenever you want. Not only that, I have never felt unsafe here no matter where I was. I guess you will just have to come here and find out for yourself about how awesome this city is!! I have been in Tokyo about 5 years now and there is so much to do that you can never get bored. Also, it's not as expensive as everyone might think. There are definitely cheap places around to eat and drink!!! And ALL the restaurants here are good. I love sports of any kind, keeping busy, and laughing. I also really enjoying spending time with my friends. We eat out, drink, dance, play billiards, darts, and sing karaoke. I love meeting new people too. Nothing like sharing some good stories from around the globe. I am not fluent in Japanese but I'm getting better and usually can get what is needed on my own. I like to enjoy life and live in the moment so I'm pretty easygoing. I have a flexible schedule and still do some teaching here on occasion. I am really getting into this Airbnb thing so I am keeping pretty busy but I will do my best to help you with what you need. Any questions? Any at all, feel free to ask. Finally, It is my goal that people have an awesome, relaxed, and stress free vacation so I hope you choose to stay with me!! I may be easygoing but I am serious about business and relationships. I will make sure that your accommodation here is comfortable and you have what you need. I do have a support network here to help me as well. I now have over 15 places to choose from in all parts of the city so check them out and let me know which place you like best!!! Hope to hear from you soon!!
