~~~ AREA ~~~
The people around here are so friendly and helpful!!! It doesn't seem like the city yet it is so close to Shinjuku. You have everything you need nearby and the quaintness of all the old school mom and pop stores still survive here!! There is a supermarket a minute away and you could walk to Shinjuku in 30 minutes if you wanted to. Staying around here for a week or so is to experience living in Japan for that same amount of time. I have many friends who love living in this area!! I highly recommend it.
There is a 100¥ store across the street as well as a supermarket so you could eat for not much money if you are on a budget. There are small, delicious restaurants nearby including this great curry place. I really think you would enjoy staying here as I have. Of course you can come and go as you please and there is no curfew.
Please email me.
CHEERS AND HOPE TO HEAR FROM YOU SOON!!!
1. The apartment will be all yours so please take good care of it.
2. Please be quiet and discreet. Very important to respect your neighbors in Japan as everyone lives close together! Absolutely no partying in the unit. Please enjoy yourself outside and make new friends.
3. You must turn off the air conditioner/heater when not there.
4. Please take off your shoes when you enter.
5. NO SMOKING inside the apartment. Outside on the balcony is fine. Standing and smoking in front of the building entrance is not allowed. Please dispose of your buds properly. Do not put in recyclable cans or bottles.
6. SELF CHECK-IN: For your convenience and privacy this is a self-catering unit. It is your responsibility to find the place. Don't worry because I give very detailed and accurate directions in the confirmation.
7. This is NOT a HOTEL: As such, you cannot ask anyone in the building for assistance. My team and I are always available between the hours of 7 AM and 1 AM via Airbnb messaging. Phone calls are typically unanswered due to the Japanese culture of answering phones in public.
8. BEDS: By booking, you acknowledge the total number of beds and bed sizes. Please read carefully to make sure your party will be comfortable with the available accommodations.
9. DEPOSIT: We don't take a deposit, but you will be held liable for any damages. Please report any damages as soon as they occur. Honesty is the best policy and will be rewarded.
10. CLEANING: The place is professionally cleaned before your arrival. Our standards are very high, but if you have any concerns contact us upon arrival.
Trash is divided into categories and put in different bags.
Please separate your:
burnable, recyclables (cans, plastic bottles, glass), and non-burnable items.
Please put these in separate bags. Using any clear plastic bag is okay in Tokyo.
Location good, easy to walk from MTR. Tiny but tidy apartment. Portable wifi extremely helpful. Good value choice.
Landlord Will is a very experienced rental business man. Having said that, you won't expect to establish any friendly relationship with him but rather he'll serve as an agent. I didn't personally meet him at all during the whole trip, but kept receiving emails, reminders and even a print out folder on the desk of "DOs and Don'ts". (With threatens that if any breach, you will have a negative review on airbnb) It's a very straight forward and efficient way to manage so many properties but lack a sense of hospitality and interacting with the hostee.
The apartment was about 5-7 minutes walk from the station, and with a Family Mart and two Lawson stores along the way. The neighbourhood was rather peaceful and quiet with lots of restaurants around, and was about 10 minutes away from Shinjuku station, which makes it very convenient and easily accessible.
The apartment could be a little hard to locate for the first time, but after walking once or twice, it was very easy. The room was a little compact for 2 people with big luggages but it was fine for my friend and I. It was clean and well-equipped with everything we need - just as what was listed in the description. Even though we didn't get to meet Will, he was very prompt in his replies before and during our stay. His directions were very clear and precise as well. I had a pleasant stay!
Will's place had everything I needed: a comfortable bed, a desk, desk lamp, private shower, small balcony, very good A/C, plenty of light. I think the portable Wifi is a huge plus! It's difficult to navigate a new city on your own, and that extra service really saved me throughout my exploration of Tokyo. I also think that it's well-located. I was staying by myself for just a few days, and it was just what I needed.
Easy to access and close to the supermarket and Lawson convenience stores. Close to Shinjuku and we were provided with extra bedding too to make ourselves comfortable. It is a compact place, but has everything you need and serves as a great base to explore Tokyo from as it is easy to access Shinjuku station (A major transport hub!).
Budget place to stay in Tokyo. Close to metro station.
I never met the host, but his directions were very helpful and easy to follow. Everything was as pictured and described. The place was clean, and it was located in a cool residential area that was both safe and enjoyable. It was located very close to public transit, and the metro system was super easy to figure out. I'd definitely recommend!
This place was great! The apartment was clean and tidy, with all the necessities and facilities I needed, even a hair straightener! It was very close to the subway stations and it only took around 10 minutes to get to Shinjuku. The neighborhood was quiet and safe, and there were several good restaurants nearby. There were two grocery stores almost right next to the apartment, which was very helpful for me. Plus the free portable wifi worked very well. I enjoyed every minute staying there and would definitely choose to stay here again if I ever visited Tokyo again.
About the Host, Will
Nice to meet you. My name is Will. I love hosting on airbnb and it is my life. It is tons of fun and there are new surprises every day! I have met so many interesting people as a host and I look forward to those I will meet in the future.
I am a sports fan, reader, movie goer, and I like to try new things. I play golf, basketball, and just about any sport you can think of. I love ramen, yakiniku, yakitori, and shabu shabu here in Japan. I love to try pizza all over the world when I travel.
Relationships are the most important thing for me in my personal life as well as business. I like to go out and have a good time with my friends and meet new people.
I have learned so much from my over three years as an airbnb host and I am pleased to say I have most questions answered for you before you ask them, whether it be in the description of the listing or in the detail I supply you with at confirmation. Still, I am always thinking of ways to make the guest experience more comfortable, efficient, and hassle free. This is my goal as a host. I will continue to get more places every month so I can host more travelers. I want everyone to see Tokyo at least once!
Tokyo is a great place to come and people from all over the world visit here making it a truly international city. I love Tokyo and seeing the amazing sights and people. It is a great place to explore and every day can be different. This is an awesome destination for walkers and wanders filled with friendly people, tasty restaurants, and plenty of lights. My tip is to make the initial contact with Japanese people because they are typically shy at first. They will be happy to try to practice their English with you.
Hope I can host you soon! May your trip to Tokyo be as amazing as my 7 years here has been!
