Interaction with Guests
We love greeting guests, helping with directions and getting around town. Since we live on the floor above and share the kitchen, we often run into guests in the common areas and love exchanging tips and travel insights.
Sometimes though our schedules don't align and we miss our housemates altogether.
Note that you might run into guests staying in another private room on the same floor.
Special attention to detail has been paid so you can thrive in our cozy home when we are unavailable in person, but always accessible by phone or email.
Our neighborhood is diverse and friendly with quaint vintage shops, quirky bars and excellent restaurants. It is conveniently located near I-5 and public transport.

We are about 25-35 minutes away from downtown by bus or Yellow Max train line. Both are within six blocks of the house with a bus stop less than a block away.
Bus: 4 and 75 are less than a block away and the Yellow Max line is only 6 blocks from the house. All will take you downtown in about 25-35 minutes.
Car: Parking is free and easy curbside at the house.
We are in the Car2Go zone and several Zipcars are in the neighborhood making shared transportation readily available.
Airport: From the airport, take a taxi for $20-30 and spend 20 minutes or take the Red Max train from the airport to the Rose Quarter and change to the Yellow Max train to Kenton Station then walk to the house. It usually takes 1-1.5 hours and costs $2.50.

This is my first time staying in Portland, their room is sweet and nice. It's really comfortable to stay there. Also they have a awesome dog and a chill cat:)
The most beautiful home in it's every detail. Perfect accommodations, and incredibly comfortable bed. Slept like a baby! Thank you :)
This was a great stay! Maylene and Charity were both very helpful and accommodating, and with their help we had no problems getting anywhere around the city!
Very beautiful house!! It was a great stay, and beyond what I had expected! Everything was perfect and comfortable. I love how the host had all the items I forgot to bring; like towels, lotion, and q-tips. Also, I loved the visitor's check-in book in the restroom!
This is the my first time in Portland, and Maylene and Charity have been very helpful. Despite getting sick for a whole three days there, they were very accommodating of me.
The place looks exactly as it's pictured. I really love the decorations around the house! The neighborhood was peaceful, with some great restaurants nearby. Right aid is also right around the corner uphill from the house.
This home has very good energy. It is warm, welcoming and cozy. We felt as if we were in our own home and our host made us feel so welcomed.
It was a very seamless experience and the property is located in a convenient area with access to many popular Portland spots. It took us between 10-15 minutes to access downtown and the location is ideal.
The home is clean, tidy and relaxing. We had a pleasant night of sleep in cotton sheets and a comfy bed.
We have no complaints whatsoever and encourage travelers to consider this home stay.
Thank you for a pleasant experience.

We are high school sweethearts who met in Japan over 20 years ago. Many areas of our home are strongly influenced by our time there. We share a common passion for travel and haven't seen nearly enough of the world yet! One day we'd like to compete and WIN on The Amazing Race.
We were inspired to Airbnb after first using the service in Hong Kong with our family. We had such a great experience we said that if we ever had the opportunity, we'd love to host ourselves. At the time we were renting a condo but found ourselves unexpectedly in the market for a house right after our trip. We were happy to find the perfect spot to share with other travelers and family members of our neighbors.
Small business owners and entrepreneurial folk, we work from home so we're available for questions and referrals.
In our free time you'll find us planning our next big adventure, binging on YouTube videos, stretched out on a yoga mat, or curled up with a good book.
