Interaction with Guests
We live on the floor located above this room and work from home so we often run into our guests. However, there are many times when schedules do not align and we miss our guests entirely but are always available for questions and recommendations.
Do note that you might run into another Airbnb guest staying in their own private room on the same floor and sharing the bathroom with you.
Our neighborhood is diverse and friendly with quaint vintage shops, quirky bars and excellent restaurants. It is conveniently located near I-5 and public transport.

Car: Parking is free and easy curbside at the house.
We are in the Car2Go zone and several Zipcars are in the neighborhood making shared transportation readily available.
Airport: From the airport, take a taxi for $20-30 and spend 20 minutes or take the Red Max train from the airport to the Rose Quarter and change to the Yellow Max train to Kenton Station then walk to the house. It usually takes 1-1.5 hours and costs $2.50.

I had a good visit with Maylene and Charity. Both ladies were a delight to talk with and spend time around. They have an easy going manner and their overseas travel experiences make them good hosts.
The house was as described and the photos of everything were accurate and did not give any false impressions. It was a tastefully restored house from the late 1920's, much like the houses in the town I grew up in. A nice detour down Memory Lane.
I didn't have a car, and walking to the MAX trolley station was easy, with good, well lit sidewalks the whole way. It was six short blocks, not the long ones.
Should I return to Portland again, I'll definitely check and see if they still have an AirBnB listing.
Awesome stay. Home was clean and very welcoming. In a great part of town near public transit.
Nice neighborhood and home close to all the best spots in Portland! Maylene and Charity were super friendly and gave us great advice on where to eat and explore! Loved: very clean and spacious bathroom + free Netflix!
Really enjoyed staying at this house. The house was clean, and the room was exactly as described. Hosts were accommodating and had everything set up upon arrival. House was located in a nice and quiet neighborhood, and was located very close to the TriMet Max station, which was very convenient. Would definitely recommend making reservations here.
Charity and Maylene are indeed wonderful hosts!
They gave immediate responses to my questions, including recommendations for really great local shopping finds!! Fab :-)
Their house is clean and beautiful; they have gone the extra mile to have everything organized, labeled, and laid out in such a way to make it very easy to move about - especially in the kitchen. Brilliant!
The house is easy to find and really lovely. Definitly recomend.
Thanks so much for opening up your house to us!
Maylene and Charity were very welcoming. The room was the perfect size and we had all the amenities we needed. Close to the MAX, Maylene and Charity's place allows you to be independent and get downtown quickly.
Maylene and Charity made us feel very welcome on our stay in Portland. Throughout our experience they kept us informed, and responded to any inquiries in a timely fashion.
Maylene and Charity’s listing was accurately described, though I would add that their home is very warm and welcoming, while neatly and artistically decorated.
The neighborhood was about a 10 minute drive from downtown Portland, and, more closely, it offered restaurants and convenient stores walking distance away.
