This can be your quiet Park Slope Haven from the craziness of Downtown New York. Park Slope is largely regarded as one of the best neighborhoods in all of New York City. I have a quiet homey apartment in this adorable area - you can't go wrong!
This can be your quiet Park Slope Haven from the craziness of Downtown New York. Park Slope is largely regarded as one of the best neighborhoods in all of New York City, and if you're not familiar with it, it's similar to the Upper West Side in Manhattan. Personally, I think it's way better than the upper west side, but, of course, I live here!
This is a junior one bedroom, which means that the bedroom is separated by a half wall. It is a queen size bed, and there is a full-size fold-out futon in the living room. I have a desk space, electronic keyboard for your playing pleasure, and kitchen with full fridge, gas stove, and eating nook. Bathroom has a small vintage claw-tooth bathtub!
This apartment is on the second floor of a three story brownstone on 15th street and 7th Avenue in Park Slope. Around the corner you can find the best Vietnamese Sandwiches in town (Henry's), a fabulous Austrain bar/restaurant, tons of cute cafes, resale shops, basically anything you would want or need, right around the corner. Two blocks and you are walking in the best and largest park in New York City, Prospect Park. Right there is also a movie theater. If this neighborhood can't give you exactly what you want, or you want to explore more, the F and G trains are 6 easy blocks away, and the R is 5 blocks in the opposite direction. The G is great access to much of your Brooklyn locations, while the F goes quickly and reliably through DUMBO(Down Under the Manhattan Bridge Overpass- the closest neighborhood to Manhattan, but still in Brooklyn) to the lower east side and up through the center of Manhattan.
Abby was wonderful and her apartment was perfect for our needs!
First of all, Abby is awesome! She met us and made sure we had everything we needed, and knew where everything was - she even introduced us to the owner, who lives on the first floor. The apartment was clean and safe. It's a cosy apartment, with a lot of NYC personality - having lived in the city for years, it felt like being home! The area is terrific... a great pub down the block, good grocery stores, and easy access to the subway (which is really quick in getting you to midtown). The best surprise was the breakfast nook in the kitchen, which when the sun hits it right, there are a million little rainbows all over that come from a single crystal prism on the windowsill. Loved it! Thank you Abby!!!
Stayed in Abby's Park Slope home for a weekend and loved it. It is perfect for the price, no frills, just what you need. The neighborhood is beautiful, you're near subway lines, and you can be anywhere in New York City within minutes. Park Slope is perfect, much more of a friendly neighborhood feel than most others in the city. Abby was a great host, very responsive and accomodating. I definitely recommend her place.
Though Abby was out of town when we visited, she ensured that her friend took good care of us, accommodating our delayed late arrival, being sure that we had all that we needed. Externally, the apt is very convenient to the best of Park Slope - restaurants, cafes, 24-hr food stores, great shopping & subways. Internally, the apt is very small, especially the bathroom (sink is difficult to use if you are over 5'), but has most essentials, & a super comfy bed. Wifi works great. No tv, but we did not need one. If you are only wanting a cozy, comfy place to crash, not hang out, this apt is a good value.
The apartment is in an amazing location, it's super convenient and cute. Small but perfect for 1-2 people.
We loved this little apartment. It is in a quiet, safe, convenient neighborhood near the N/R Subway as well as the F/G Subway so getting to Manhattan is a breeze. There are plenty of restaurants, speciality stores, and grocers around the neighborhood. The apartment is clean and Abby was so accommodating with our late check-in. This apartment offers the charm of a past age while providing the conveniences necessary for modern living. The bed and pillows are super comfortable. If you need white-noise to sleep, you might want to bring a fan - it's that quiet! As a musician, I was looking for a place with a keyboard/piano so this place was ideal. My favorite feature was a little crystal ball hanging in the kitchen window - it placed rainbows all around the kitchen.
The reservation was canceled the day before arrival. This is an automated posting.
I was so sorry to have to cancel this reservation. The guest requested the reservation last minute, and I thought I could accommodate the request. However, while I was traveling, there was a misplacement of the extra keys that were set aside for last-minute situations like this, so I cancelled as soon as I knew to give William as much time as possible to find another place to stay. This was during my first month being associated with Airbnb, so this won't happen again! Thanks!
This was a great apartment, and Abby was a wonderful host-- very attentive, available and helpful. The place was very clean and welcoming, and well-stocked with any and all amenities one might need. A great neighborhood and location, too. Can't recommend it highly enough!
Had an excellent stay in Park Slope. The apartment is very comfortable and in a perfect location, near the subway. Prospect park is a few blocks away, along with many restaurants and grocery stores We didn't get to meet out host, but she was available via email and was very responsive and hospitable. I wish we could have stayed longer!!!
