Venice Beach Bungalow on the Sand

Apartment - Entire home/apt · Rose Avenue, Venice, CA 90291, United States

The Space

Beachfront studio apartment with sweeping ocean views of Santa Monica and the Venice boardwalk. Explore everything Venice has to offer on the hottest street of the city, Rose Avenue; from local-favorite wine bars to the hippest new restaurants, stay right in the heart of Venice's world-renowned boho-chic vibe! Although it is only short 5 minute walk to Abbot Kinney, Rose Avenue is recently coined by locals as the "new Abbot Kinney" because of all the new restaurants, bars and shops that have newly opened on the street. Perfectly located only 2 blocks from Santa Monica's Main Street, enjoy having both Santa Monica and Venice at your footsteps.
This modern studio apartment offers new hardwood floors, high ceilings, a full kitchen with stainless steal appliances, floor heating, a large bathroom, huge windows, queen size bed complete with ultra luxe linens, full cable TV, free wifi (although can be a bit spotty), DVD player, and of course, ocean views! The building is a secured access, historical building from the 1920's; thick brick walls offer privacy while the newly renovated apartment offers all the most modern amenities.
Located right on the sand, you can't get closer to the famous Venice beach and boardwalk... fall asleep to the sound of waves hitting the sand.

  • Awesome location right at the beach! Tara is a great thoughtful host and was easy to get in touch with. She even gave us very useful advice on what to do and where to eat. Parking with our rental car was very easy.
Would absolutely recommend this to anyone! Thank you Tara!

  • My girlfriend, Sonya, and I stayed at Tara's for 4 days during new years week.

The day we arrived to the home, we were struck by the phenomenal view of the beach and sound of the waves, seagulls, and the live music from performers on the beach. It was very hard for us to unpack or leave as the cool light breeze circulated the little room.

We woke up every morning to see the sun rise through the window, and walked out for every sunset. The location was also great for restaurants that would suit anyone [vegan, healthy eater, or quality steak]. Most, if not all high yelp-rated restaurants are within a couple of block walking distance from the location.

Parking was not easy, but it isnt impossible either. But if you think about it, with a location like that you wouldnt want to take your car around, as most things are within a walking distance.

The facilities in the home were more than what we needed. All kitchen and bathroom facilities were clean and in good condition.
The bed was right next to the window, every morning you wake up to a dreamy view.

Despite the fact that its an old apartment building with not-so-thick walls, the apartment was very quiet at night and neighbors seemed nice and welcoming.

The elevators were super slow, but the walk up the stairs is pretty short and easy to access.

The internet connectivity was a little weak during the day time, but there are plenty of wifi equipped coffee shops around.

Overall, Sonya and I enjoyed our stay on new years. Not to mention that fire works were visible from the window.

I defiantly plan to come back!

  • Fantastic location for the money, right on the Boardwalk to get your day started in ecclectic, Venice fasion. Abbot Kinney and Santa Monica Main Street are both a short walk away. The only thing was the internet - super slow connection. Tara was great - super friendly, reliable, and communicative.

  • I had an INCREDIBLE stay! This was my first Airbnb experience and Tara was extremely accommodating, friendly, helpful, and communicated with us very quickly with any questions we had during our stay. The location is absolutely unbeatable and the room is clean, quiet, and very comfortable. The bed and bedding is extremely cozy and was comfortable for two people. We could watch performers on the Venice boardwalk while doing the dishes (really!) and could faintly hear the ocean as we were falling asleep at night... amazing! I really can't say enough about how great my experience at Tara's place was, from location to comfort to how wonderfully friendly and helpful Tara was! I would definitely stay here again!

You are right in the middle of Venice and get to fully experience the fun, and you can even hear the ocean!! There are tons of shops and restaurants around to enjoy.
Tara was quick at getting back to me and gave me all the information I needed to enjoy my stay.. She checked up on me a few times to see how I was and if I needed anything . I will definitely stay here again!! She was great and her place is a gem! Definitely stay here! I will again soon! Thank you Tara!!:)

  • This location is amazing, and Tara is a fantastic host. If you are looking for a nice, non-confining studio apartment to yourself that is literally on the beach, this is your spot. The unit was clean and furnished with wifi and cable access, and parking is not a problem.

Tara met me at the door to not only show me the unit, but also give me some great suggestions of local spots in the area. She also was very responsive to any questions I had after our initial meeting.

If you decide to visit LA and Venice Beach, this place is great and in a good centralized, social area.
