We were two hours late getting to the bus stop, it was our fault, and Nathan was still there at the bus stop, waiting with a smile. We felt bad, but he never mentioned it. His place is beautiful, I admire his story. It's a great gateway to all of the ecotourism in the neighborhood. Stay a few days, he knows all the right people. There is kayaking, hiking, white water rafting, bird watching, access to the islands, a fresh water pool, safety and privacy! Cheers! And thank you Nathan!
Nathan was a great and welcoming host.
My partner & I had an awesome 2 day stay at his b.e.a.u.tiful location.
I was shocked by the spectacular scenic view from his poolside.
During our stay at Nathan's : he provided transportation for us to the near by pico bonito forest, which had a great hiking trail to view 2 waterfalls.
From his location: you have a bodega style shop in walking distance. Selling breads, eggs, milk, juice, sodas, etc.
If you are looking for a great place to stay, away from the city, and near the forest ....this is the place you want :)
His location/property can accommodate about 4-5 people (all in separate rooms, if that what you are looking for).
Make sure to ask Nathan for directions . It is on his website.
Thank you for a wonderful time Nathan, we really appreciated the food and stories.

Nathan was a wonderful host. The location of his place in El Pino is private, but secure. The lodging is right beside Pico Bonito National Forest, with beautiful waterfalls, fruit trees, and plenty of bird watching. The accommodations were great, and Nathan cooked a delicious dinner as well. He was helpful about places to see, and local activities. It's too bad I could only stay for one night, but hope to be back soon
