My large, light-filled one bedroom loft is a gorgeous choice for anyone visiting New York. Whether it's your 1st time or your 50th time, the location is so central, peaceful, and convenient that I hate to even leave! However I travel a lot for work, so my apartment is often empty for a few days or even a few weeks at a time.
The specs: 14 foot tin ceilings, exposed brick on one whole side of the apartment, hardwood floors, and modern lighting. It really is almost too large for one person, though I rather enjoy the luxuries that space allows--a rare commodity in New York. Closest trains: 2/3 at Wall Street at only 2 minutes walk, but also the 4/5/6 or A/C and J/Z at Fulton Street are just a 5 minute walk.
It was renovated about 6 years ago so there is both a washer/dryer (unheard of here!) and dishwasher in the apartment. It's got electric baseboard heating, which is more than adequate--most of the time I just leave it off and I'm perfectly warm. All the kitchen and bathroom appliances are modern; steel kitchen fixtures and lighting, stone shower interior, etc. The neighbors are almost never home during the day, and there is only one other apartment on the floor so it's fairly quiet in general. The bedroom has a double bed which can sleep either two people (comfortably) or one person (very comfortably). I have a large flatscreen TV in the bedroom, but no cable--DVD's only, or you can stream on your computer via the apt's wifi connection. The neighborhood is *incredibly* safe and also very convenient--mostly banking and finance by day, quiet at night. There are a few great bars and restaurants in the area, and a lot of good lunch options since it's very much a 9-5er neighborhood.
MIsha's place is great. Easy to get around new york, decent size and interesting local area with lots of restaurants for lunch.
It was our first time using airbnb and we had a really good experience at Misha's house.
We arrived later than expected (as it was a quite long trip from Montreal), however they waited for us until 1.30am!! We were really appreciated.
The house was very good (as it's on the pictures) and Misha has everything clean.
The WiFi puntually didn't work but she warned us in advance they were fixing it on Sunday, so there was no problem as we could find many starbucks near by :)
The apartment was very well located.
Sometimes there was a bit of subway smell (it's just below the house), but Misha also had incense available. All the lights, heater, hot water, toilet worked properly and were very clean.
We definitely enjoyed our stay there and really recommend Misha's apt.
The loft is as described on the pictures and comments. Really easy to get to with public transportation close by.
A real nest in the heart of Wall Street.
Mischa was very flexible and helpful on the exchange of keys, she is also very welcoming.
Misha's apt is amazing place to stay in NY and enjoy the city. It is really large, modern and very comfortable. Everything was clear and ready for our staying. The crucial point is the apt is walking distance to everywhere for those who loves to walk. It was a little confusion with the key on arrival date - but Misha finally contacted us to inform the key were left in Subway next door. So we finally entered this amazing place which suites for everyone who loves the comfort, order and modern style.
Staying at Misha's was a dream come true, and was everything we could have hoped for and more from using Airbnb. Her place looked exactly as advertised. Immaculately clean, and we were even provided luxurious toiletries to make our stay extra special. She obviously takes pride in her place and pride in being an Airbnb Host. We look forward to spending all future visits to NYC at Misha's!
Misha's place was beautiful! The pictures are representative of her loft which I really liked. The apartment has a modern feel and was really clean and well kept. Communicating with Misha was easy and although we didn't get to meet her, she made arrangements for us to get keys to the place with her assistant. Everything worked out and we found the place easily. We found it to be a very safe neighbourhood, during the day it was very lively but at night it would definitely quiet down and many stores closed around 8-9pm. This is something to consider if you're looking to stay in a place that has stays busy throughout the night. It's very close to the Wall street subway which then would easily bring you to upper Manhattan and across the bridge to Brooklyn.
Overall it was a great stay!
Misha's place was great and as advertised. She was very flexible with check-in/check-out times. Will definitely look to stay at her place again!
I stayed in Misha's lovely loft for two nights: very comfortable and cool despite roasting temperatures! Especially appreciated the prompt welcome and Koehler toiletries!
The apartment is extremely conveniently located. All the major subway lines are within walking distance. The apt is modern and a great place to stay in. The washer/dryer feature is amazing - I never had to worry about not having enough clean underwear... There is an iron too for your shirts/party dresses. I would stay here again.
Misha’s loft is a great place to stay in Manhattan. Most people probably don’t think of the financial district/Wall street area as a “hip” neighborhood in the city, but it is actually a great area to stay in while visiting. Anything you could possibly need while you’re travelling is nearby, such as banks, food options, transportation, etc., and although it gets pretty quiet around there after 6pm it is a short cab ride to some of the livelier areas of Manhattan. And the #2/3 subway is one of the most convenient lines which either stops at most popular stations or connects to them easily. And the loft itself is fantastic, a beautifully converted space which has been outfitted with modern fixtures and yet retains the charms of a 100+ year old building. Some people subletting in Manhattan refer their spaces as lofts when in reality they are studio apartments; Misha’s loft is truly a loft, and it is one of the nicer ones you will see. Overall the experience was great, I wish I could’ve stayed longer!
