Our experience was great! Kate was communicative and everything was as she said it would be. Our stay started on Christmas Day and Kate left a lockbox with the key, which was extremely convenient. The apartment was charming, clean & warm. It's an old building, so the walls were thin, but it didn't really bother us. I'm from Portland and can vouch for the amazing location of this place -- it really can't be beat. Nob Hill is an awesome place to hang out and has everything you need, or jump on the streetcar 2 blocks away for literally $1, and you're down in the Pearl/Downtown, where you can find a way to get pretty much anywhere. Parking wasn't too difficult either, which was nice. I highly recommend Kate's place for anyone traveling to/through Portland.
Kate could not have been more accommodating! From start to finish it was the perfect place to stay. Amazing location within walking distance to anything you could want in Portland. Super clean, very fresh, and perfectly comfortable sums up Kates apartment. I will definitely be staying here the next time I'm in Portland! Highly recommended.
Thin walls made sleeping in a little tricky, but otherwise had a perfectly enjoyable stay. Thanks Kate!
Kate was a wonderful host! She gave us detailed instructions prior to arriving and kept in touch with us all throughout our stay. She made sure to keep herself available and was there when we needed her. Her space was so clean, well-kept, and comfortable. Furthermore, she lives in the best part of town! I would definitely recommend renting from her if you are ever in Portland.
Kates place was very nice.
It's close enough to walk to a lot of places but the lightrail is also just a short walk from the house.
Kate was quick to reply to any questions we had + our overall stay was really great.
Would recommend staying here.
The apartment had so much charm, and just half a block from trendy NW 23rd Ave, it could not have been in a better location! We were able to walk just about everywhere, even downtown, which was only 1.5 miles away, and when we couldn't, transportation was easy.
Being in an older building, however, the walls are thin, so bring earplugs if you want to sleep in.
Kate was also wonderful to work with. Communication was easy and prompt.
Kate was fantastic -- the apartment was great, the location the BEST, and Kate graciously answered all of my questions (even those not about the apartment!). I'll be back to Portland and you can guess where I will try to stay... (Thanks, Kate!)
Kate was a great hostess - she was quick to respond and gave us all the info we needed for our stay. Her apartment was in a great location and it was very cute and tidy. As a first time air bnb'er, I would definitely book again based on my good experience here. Thank you, Kate!
Kate's apartment was in a great location, easy to walk to local shops and restaurants. We enjoyed renting bikes (from 21st Avenue Bikes) just a short walk away. The day we rented bikes, we rode all over the city, over to Mississippi Avenue for early dinner and a cocktail at Samurai Blue (great sushi!), and the next morning down to the Saturday market. One day we rented a car (there is an Enterprise off of West Burnside that is walkable), and surprisingly inexpensive! We drove along 84 along the Columbia River Gorge and stopped at several waterfalls (Multnomah was beautiful) and hiked a bit.
Also, I HIGHLY recommend the Farm Cafe across the Bridge off of East Burnside and 7th. The food and staff were amazing. The Rose Garden and the Japanese Garden were both really nice to visit and a short ways away from Kate's apartment.
If you are not familiar with public transportation here, make sure you read up about it and ask lots of questions before your visit!
I also want to thank Kate for being so flexible with our schedule on the way out the last day. We had such a late flight and she allowed us to keep our bags at her place until we had to leave for the airport. Thanks again Kate! :)

Kate's place is in a wonderful location! Tons of shops and restaurants to walk to and enjoy. The unit has lots of natural light and the bed is very comfortable.
