Great place to stay in Rome, very comfy apartment close to the Circus Maximus and Forum. We loved walking past the forum every day, and went running in the neighborhood and around the Circus Maximus. The apartment itself had everything we needed, and lovely light in the morning. Great little corner store in the neighbourhood with everything you need. Luca was very responsive in arranging a meeting time with us to drop off the keys. All in all a wonderful choice!
This flat is great!!!!
The best location that you could imagine in Rome! It's just in 10 minutes from Colosseo by foot!
Very bright and big room! Bathroom is huge!
Every morning we saw Romano Forum through the window and we were happy!=)
There is everything you need in the flat!
We had late chek-in and it wasn't a problem for Luca! Also he allowed to stay longer than chek-out!
Highly recommend this apartment! We had there great Roman holiday!
We had a very good time at Luca's apartment. It is located at a very central location. It's walkable to Colosseum and the Roman Forum.
It's in a very nice neighorhood. There is a farmer's market on our street and it opens Sat and Sun. It's worth a visit and get some fresh produce. The apartment was spotless and it has everything we need. We had a problem with the hot water one day and I contacted Luca and he came to fix it right away. At the end of our trip, we also used the airport transfer service Luca referred. Carolina the driver was punctual and professional. I would totally stay here again!
Before talking about the room I would like to tell you about Luca. From the first time I messaged him about the room availability until checkout and even beyond that, Luca was extremely helpful, patient (and I bugged him a lot), very prompt at responding, very accommodating, and an awesome person to rent an apartment from. Even when we kept him waiting an extra 30 minutes due to a train delay (and I did not call to let him know) yet he did not seem mad and even told us about a wonderful farmer's market right down the street to try and get to before they closed. If you are there for a Sunday (only day it is open), definitely go to the market.
The room was great, it was very clean and exactly as described on Luca's listing. The bed was by far the most comfortable we had while in Italy (slept in 5 of them), the location was great, and you could not beat looking out the window and seeing the Roman Forums staring back at you!!
It took us about 20 minutes to walk to the Colosseum, a 10 or so minute bus ride to get to the Historic center area (Piazza Navona, Trevi Fountain, Pantheon, etc), and about a 10 minute walk from the nearest metro stop. You are a short walk from the Jewish Ghetto neighborhood and the Trastevere neighborhood.
You could easily walk to the Historic center area, although we had the passes and wanted to get our money's worth out of them. I am guessing it would take about 30 minutes to walk to the Historic Center.
We would definitely rent this room from Luca again and since we threw money into the Trevi fountain, I think Luca will be hearing from us in the future :-)
We loved staying at Luca's apartment and would definitely stay there again! He is a helpful and gracious host who went out of his way to help us. The apartment is magical - the windows look out upon the Forum and it is situated in one of the oldest streets in Rome. From his apartment we could walk to the Forum, Colleseum and campidoglio. Walking home at night and seeing the ancient ruins under the moonlight was amazing! His recommendations for locations to eat led us to some fantastic meals. The apartment and bed was very comfortable and our daughter was fine with sleeping on a fold-out bed. Thanks again, Luca!.
The appartement was clean in a great area, it was quiet and close to everything. A bit small for three people but still comfortable...
Fantastic location, quiet and close to everything. Very easy to make arrangements with Luca who met us on arrival. Loved it!
Luca's flat is very well located amongst the historic ruins of ancient Rome. The forum is across the road and it is a short walk to the Circus Maximus and other notable historic attractions. The flat is quite spacious for a couple and has good cooking facilities and a very comfortable bed. There is an handy little wine bar and eatery about 100 metres down the hill where you can get a cheap pasta and enjoy a nice wine while contemplating the 1500 years old Arc of Janus which stands about 30 metres away. We used the subway to get around and found it excellent, but the nearest station is about a 20-25 minute walk from the flat so if you not too fit you may need to consider other arrangements. Luca was a perfect host providing useful directions to places of interest.
Lovely apartment in an excellent location! Was a lovely view out onto the Roman Forum and was very clean. Great little apartment for two people to stay in while in Rome!
I loved Luca's place! I rented it for 3 days for a short stay in Rome with my parents. The location is just perfect, we never had to use the public transportation, since it is so central. Also thanks to the nice sunny weather (it comes with the house! ;)) we walked pretty much everywhere. The apartment is just 15 mins away from the Testaccio neighborhood, 5 mins away from Trastevere and close to so many other archeological sites (Coliseum, Terme di Caracalla). The flat was clean and tidy, furnished with everything necessary. Luca is a great host, he is flexible with check-in and check-out times, and on the arrival he has also guided us over the phone in the confusing and infamous Rome traffic, in order to avoid the scary ZTL areas. I greatly recommend Luca's place.
