  • I had 4 nights with Anne and Gus at the end of September. They were both extremely kind, welcoming and hospitable. Their beautiful house is in a lovely tranquil location, though not too cut off from civilisation (only 10 minutes drive to Letterkenny). Anne was a mine of useful information and advice on where to go and what to see. Buster the cat is extremely cute and very funny. I will definitely return to Donegal and would not hesitate to stay with them again

  • We had a great stay with Anne and Gus in Letterkenny. They were very hospitable and helpful. They have done a wonderful job transforming the old schoolhouse. Our upstairs room was cosy and comfortable with great views. Their cats are very friendly. We would recommend staying here.

  • Anne was a lovely host!!
We really felt at home in her sweet schoolhouse, that was decorated with the most beautiful little things!
It was great to share some time with Anne and her husband.
    The breakfast was absolutely delicious.
We should have spent more time there!
    Thank you so much!

you are most welcome ..we hope to see you again

  • I stayed at Anne and Gus' home with my daughter for 2 nights and I wish we had stayed a bit longer. The house is really lovely and cozy. The room was very comfortable. Anne was a great source of information about the region, and her insight into Irish culture and history was really interesting. She was a wonderful hostess. She gave us some chicken on the night of our arrival, to avoid for us to have to go out again with the little one. She had prepared some toys for my daughter in the room, and even gave her a bag full of goodies for her to take. The location is fantastic, you can make day trips to Inishowen or the Fanad Head. landscapes are gorgeous. Hopefully we can stay there again one day.

  • Our introduction to Ireland couldn't have been better with our stay at the old schoolhouse with Anne and Gus and the occasional cat(s). Anne and Gus are very gracious hosts. We were welcomed with a cup of tea and a chat on arrival and on another night, with a glass of wine and a fireside chat outside the "summer house". Our accommodation was in a gorgeous double bedroom with ensuite, beautifully decorated with some of Anne's artistic flourishes (and which also abound throughout the house). Lovely breakfasts comprised juices, cereals, fresh fruit, yoghurt, bread, bagels, and tea and coffee on beautiful crockery. Anne also went out of her way to provide gluten free foods. Anne and Gus provided very helpful suggestions for day trips and eating out. We had a wonderful time driving to Fanad Head and eating out that night at the Bridge Bar in Ramelton. The old schoolhouse is a great base from which to explore County Donegal and also Derry. Thanks Anne and Gus for a lovely 3 night stay!

  • We thoroughly enjoyed our stay with Anne and Gus and quite regretted having to leave! Anne's creative flair and artistic eye for detail make their home one of the cutest places we've ever visited. Our bed and room were really comfortable, the whole place was really clean but at the same time very homely. Breakfast selection was A-MAZ-ING! Anne made sure we had everything we needed, the perfect host! My husband and I enjoyed Anne and Gus's company and conversation! We'd love to visit again one day.

  • We stayed at Anne's place for a night during our trip around Ireland. The house was very big and confortable. They were very nice, we couldn't find the home and they came for us to reach the place!

Besides the breakfast was really good!

    Hope to see you again!

  • The Old Schoolhouse is in a lovely spot, and is a delightfully old house full of character. Anne and Gus are very warm and welcoming hosts, and went out of their way to make us comfortable - even giving up their own bedroom for our use! It was very relaxing sitting in their garden in the shade of a tree and listening to the stream which runs at the back of the house.

  • Anne and Gus were wonderful hosts from the moment we arrived, giving us a bite to eat as we had arrived a bit late. The school house was very cute with a rambling creek behind the house. Bedroom was well kept, even had biscuits and water at the nightstand. I would recommend to those wanted to see some countryside and friendly company.

  • Anne and Gus are terrific hosts. The Old Schoolhouse is a wonderful place to stay. Even though it would be easier with a car, don't let that deter you. Hosts were kind enough to pick me up and drop me off. Quiet and peaceful surroundings. The perfect place for a getaway.
