About This Listing
Welcome to my home :)
I am currently renting out my beautiful, eclectic top floor flat for short term holiday lets..... It is situated in a highly desirable period block, overlooking Weavers Field park, with stunning views of the City - I guarantee that you'll feel at home here straight away and feel like a real Londoner, not like a tourist!
The photos of the property are all recently taken (although not recently enough to show off the new wood floors!) so you can get an idea of the place - lovely snug living room and comfortable bedroom.....there is free wifi, fresh linen, plenty of hot water, washing machine, and a fully functioning kitchen which you are welcome to use :)
The apartment is very much my home and as such you'll get a warm welcome and enjoy all the comforts and mod cons that you would in your own place. I'm a true Londoner and am happy to share my love of the city with you by recommending many the cool places to visit as all the great places to hunt out in the new cultural and fashion heart of town - the East End!
Like many London apartments in the centre my home is bijou, consisting of one double bedroom (with period furniture and a ridiculously comfortable bed!), living room, bathroom (shower and bath) and ample kitchen, modern furnishings with wooden floors throughout.
There is also a double sofa bed available in living room so the flat can accomodate 2 adults comfortably or up to 4 (but snuggly!).
Shops, ATM, restaurants, pubs all within a 5 minute walk - and so you can enjoy exploring as much as I do, I'll leave you maps and a list of recommended local sites, eateries and drinking dens in the flat :)
Fully furnished including towels
Oven and hob
Shower and Bath
Access to off street car parking on request
5th floor flat, no lift in building but the views are absolutely spectacular!
I try to welcome all my guests in person, but if this isn't possible, I have a keysafe which allows more flexibility for guests as they can let themselves in straightaway when they arrive and make themselves at home :)
Interaction with Guests
This apartment is my home, rather than a serviced apartment so it has a relaxed look and feel. Do let me know if you have any questions about the apartment, or about London in general - happy to help out in any way I can!
The apartment is located in the heart of Londons artisan and fashion hub and as such is home to a great mix of boutique shops and galleries, waiting to be discovered and trendy Shoreditch with its bars and vibrant clubs a 15 minute walk....
I love to wander through the local markets and historic Spitalfields market, Columbia Road flower market, Broadway market (a 'mini Borough market') and Petticoat Lane markets are all within 15 mins walk, as well as Spitalfields and Hackney City Farm for the children.
In your spare time enjoy historic East London, haunt of villains like Jack the Ripper and the Krays brothers, as well as the Tower of London and Brick Lane, (10 mins walk). A short tube ride takes you to sights and shopping in Central London, whilst discovering the hidden wonders of Hackney Wick is easy by bus or Boris bike!
My apartment is peacefully located just two minutes walk from Bethnal Green tube on the Central line, 1 min walk from Bethnal Green Mainline train station and 8 mins from to Whitechapel tube station (Overland, Hammersmith and City Line and District Lines) and easy access on tube and bus to Central London and only one stop from the huge Westfield shopping centre at Stratford. Main shops, shops, ATM, restaurants, pubs all within a 2 minute walk.
Check in time is usually flexible, so please ask if you need a different time and I'll do my best to help!
Also extremely close to the City and therefore would suit business travellers.
I'm a huge plant lover so please look after my plants! All they need is a drop of water if they start to wilt - many thanks
The apartment is in a block so please be considerate to the neighbours and keep noise to a minimum when coming and going and after 22:00 - many thanks!
Please the apartment as you would like to find it :)
Please recycle where possible :)
We had a great time. The apartment was clean, sunny and quiet. It wasn't huge like it seems on the pictures but it worked perfectly for us.
It is located in a quiet and safe neighbourhood and the underground station was only 5 minutes away.
Unfortunatly we never got to meet Nikki in person, but she made sure that we had everything we needed.
Nikki was a very gracious and helpful host and communication with her was very fast and easy.
We were very happy and comfy in Nikkis's Bethnal Green apartment. Everything was just as described. Nikki kindly allowed us in early as we had an overnight flight from the US arriving early AM. That was huge for us. A little nap saved the day. The neighborhood was interesting and safe. Great little markets close to hand. We enjoyed a good lunch in a Turkish place down toward Brick Lane. The Underground station was 5 minutes away. A good spot to base ourselves in London.
The home was comfortable and in a perfect spot for exploring East London which was exactly what we wanted. We arrived very late at night and Nikki had left us some juice and milk to make coffee the next morning which was much appreciated.
This was my first Airbnb experience and it was lovely. Nikki was both very sweet and well-organized. Although we never got to meet in person, she made sure that I had everything I needed and gave me clear and timely instructions every time.
The apartment was tidy, quite comfortable and just plain lovely. As shown in the photos, the decoration is simple and tasteful. The flat is filled with light as it sits on the top floor with clear views on both sides. Coming “home” every night (from the nearby tube or from a walk in the surrounding areas) truly felt like living a Londoner’s life! I would be glad to choose Nikki’s place again!
Nikki made us feel so warmly welcomed it was incredible. With her handwritten notes and lovely texts, we felt like we had a friend in London as soon as we arrived. It was a complete joy to stay in her home...her apartment is up high and gets super morning light and overlooks a really nice park. It's just around the corner from Bethnal Green tube station which is really handy - and at the same time, located on a lovely safe street. Thanks again Nikki! xx
