Guest House in the historic horse district - one bedroom, bathroom, and sitting room upstairs with a kitchen, bathroom and laundry downstairs. The space was recently renovated, so all of the finishes and fittings are fresh.
We are lucky that our home has location-location-location! Within a one-mile radius we have downtown, Hitchcock Woods, Hopeland Gardens, Palmetto Golf Club, and the Horse District with Polo fields, Aiken Training Track and the Aiken Horse Park. The downtown area is vibrant and includes an eclectic mix of shops, restaurants and night spots. We are about 15 miles from SRS and Bridgestone.
Aiken is a special town. We enjoy a long fall and spring (maybe 2-3 weeks of winter). I have flowers blooming in my yard every month of the year. The horse industry makes this community unique- we walked down to the training track this morning and watched Palice Malice (2013 winner of the Belmont) out for his exercise. The community wraps around a 2000 acre protected greenspace that is a great place for long walks, bird watching or trail rides.
Please come to visit- you will be glad you did.

Simply perfect. I came in for all the March Aiken festivities and found this sweet house clean, updated, private, and very comfortable. The location is to die for if you want to be a midst the town, the track, and all other (especially horse) related activities. Krista is a perfect landlord as she was available, if needed, but very unobtrusive. I would go back without hesitation again and again.
This place is the best! It's a small space, perfect for 2 people. Has a fully stocked kitchen with microwave, stove, pots and pans, and utensils if you are in a cooking mood. The owner, Krista is so kind and sweet, she even bought us some snacks to have. It's about a 15 minuet walk to downtown Aiken on a very nice boulevard. The neighborhood the home is in is amazing, it's Aiken's old mansion district. Just be sure you call ahead and ask how to get there, because the main entrance is on a busy road, but the back entrance is on a nice quiet street. This place is the best, and Aiken is a great little town. It is not stagnating and dying like many rural SC areas, but is doing very well and has many great places to eat, horseback riding, hiking in the Hitchcock woods, or Hopeland Gardens, and other great stuff I am sure. This is the kind of place that convinces you airbnb is better than any hotel!
A very pleasant as well as charming, separate guest house. Excellent hospitality. Highly recommended.
