As you step inside, you'll be greeted by a cozy, comfortable interior with floor heating and a double bed that offers panoramic views through the mirror windows. There is a very good main road all the way to the Mirror House except for the last few meters up the hill where you will find a gravel road to the Mirror House with a parking right below. There is no public transport and therefore we recommend guests come by car. In Iceland we can expect all kinds of challenging weather which is why we recommend a car with a four-wheel drive in the winter. Occasionally the authorities issue weather warnings during which access to the jacuzzi is unfortunately restricted. When weather warnings are issued we make sure to notify our guests and help accommodate them.

Other things to note
We ask our guests to please not barbecue, light candles or have any other kind of open fires for safety reasons. Thank you for your understanding.

Nearby is a small town called Borgarnes ( 10 min drive). There you can find The Settlement Centre which has a nice restaurant and a lovely café called Kaffi Kyrrð.
In Borgarnes you can also find a supermarket and a gasoline station.

Activities:
-Hraunfossar is a spectacular waterfall (40 min drive from The Mirror House).
-Krauma Health Spa is on the way to Hraunfossar and has natural geothermal baths from Deildartunguhver which is the largest geysir in Europe.
-Glanni is another beautiful waterfall half an hour drive from The Mirror House and next to it is a popular walking trail called Paradísarlaut.
-Snorrastofa is a cultural and medieval center. It's named after the 12th century Icelandic historian Snorri Sturluson (30 min drive).
