My home is a lovely shotgun double home located in the Lower Garden District of New Orleans. The house is close to many restaurants, bars, museums and shops. Just a few blocks from the Convention Center, Warehouse District and everything else the city has to offer.
My home has two BR and two baths. There is a queen bed, a full and two inflatable twin mattresses. There is always plenty of parking and even bikes available.
This house was perfect for a weekend in New Orleans with some friends. The location is amazingly close to the shops on Magazine St and Mardi Gras World (where our event was taking place). The house had a TON of charm and was everything we could have hoped for.
The house was great. It was so cute and had everything we needed! The beds were really comfortable. It was in a good location and we felt safe walking around. We were able to hail a cab for 6 from Magazine Street on both Friday night and Saturday night! We would stay here again.
Everything was great. The house was clean. Everything we needed was there. The beds were really comfortable. It was an ideal location. We would definitely stay there again.
This was an ideal place to spend three nights for New Years Eve. We walked a few blocks (and twice in both directions a few miles) down Magazine Street for coffee and donuts every morning and every time we walked up to Magazine St for a cab we flagged one down within a minute or 2 - even on NYE. The walk to Jackson Square and the French Quarter wasn't terribly far - though we only walked once and took cabs the rest of the time - and great restaurants like Peche and Cochon were easily walkable for us.
It was an extremely quiet place to sleep, the washer and dryer were brand new and useful, and the house offered an extremely reasonable price for the size and location. We even stayed in and cooked dinner ourselves one night before heading out for the evening.
Everything was as described and Charlie communicated quickly and clearly - we would definitely stay here again.
We were very pleased with the cleanliness of the home and all of the little amenities as well. The night we arrived was one of the coldest of the season, but our host provided extra blankets and space heaters that kept us toasty and warm. We loved this charming shotgun space. There are so many great things nearby and it made it nice that we could walk for coffee and breakfast every morning. There is no doubt that when we return to New Orleans, we'll be booking our time here in this very authentic and elegant space. It was perfect for what we needed.
The description "Great Location for a Great Time," is a very accurate description. House (which has a lot of charm) is perfectly situated in the Garden District--couple blocks from great shops and restaurants, the street car on St. Charles, and close enough to the Quarter (we either took the street car or taxi). The house itself was clean, well maintained and a perfect spot for our long weekend in New Orleans.
The house was wonderful. Spacious and roomy. We travelled with 3 kids and the terasse and garden in the back provided great outdoor space to relax after a day on the streets.
Surreys around the corner became our absolute favorite with the yummiest creole breakfast dishes.
