Location

Robe, South Australia, Australia

Robe is a unique town. Home to a long established lobster fleet in Lake Butler. With a milder climate during summer months of December to March, Robe is the destination to escape the heat. With many pristine beaches to swim and surf at. No shortage of the facilities, coffee shops, restaurants, books stores, art galleries, wineries cinema and ice cream shop. Robe is the place many people come to and "do nothing" perfect for those who want to get off the 24/7 work train. A country town in the true sense of attitude that opens its arms and welcomes travelers who visit. It has a history of seafarers visiting from Mathew Flinders (England) and Nicolas Baudin (France) when mapping the coast of Australia. With 10,000 Chinese landing in Robe during the 1850's to trek to Ballarat and reach the goldfields. The Terra Rosa soil which is the base for the Limestone coast vineyards produces award winning wines red, white still and sparkling there is a wine to suit all palates available nearby. If wine is not for your the Robe Town Beer is also brewed here. Or perhaps coffee is the drink you relish visit Mahalia Coffee who is based in Robe roasting and supplying their quality blends and styles throughout Australia.

I love meeting new people from all over the world and learning their interesting stories and sharing mine of life and living. Active in the community with a passion for swimming and golfing. Based in Robe for the creative atmosphere and comfortable lifestyle. Enjoyed live performing as an entertainer. Traveled through Australia and o/s since 1990 before returning to Robe. "Excess in Moderation" A little portion of too much, is a good thing.
