We live in a quiet neighbourhood near the top of the hill, with great views over to the famous Solsbury Hill and beyond. It is a 5- minute walk to our local convenience store and pub which specialises in pies. There are beautiful walks nearby, including the Cotswold Way, and the Kennet and Avon Canal.
Bath itself is a World Heritage City with many tourist attractions- The Roman Baths, Thermae Bath Spa, Royal Crescent, The Circus, The Jane Austen Museum- to name but a few. Bath also has many fabulous restaurants and shops! Although we offer one-night stays, most people have commented that you need longer to appreciate all that Bath has to offer.
There is a bus stop nearly opposite our house with buses which will get you into town in about 15 minutes.
Please note check in time is after 4pm and checkout is before 10am.We can sometimes be flexible around check-in time, depending on our plans for the day. It would be helpful if you could let us know roughly what time you'll be arriving.

We are a smoke-free household and we do not allow pets.
Hillary was lovely and very accommodating. Chattng with her and Alan over breakfast felt like being at home. The room was spacious and very clean, and bed comfortable. We couldn't have asked for a better stay. Even the bus journey back up from town was a fun adventure.
A very lovely stay with a beautiful view. The house is very nice，Hilary and her husband took care of us very warmly. Henry is a very cute and nice dog. Although it is a little bit far away from city center, it's very convenient to take bus, also, we really enjoy the countryside view when walking around.
Great scenery around Rural Views, the location offered a peaceful and relaxing stay. We were given a warm welcome and were very happy with the room. Very enjoyable (although simple) breakfast. We were all in all pleased with our stay, the only suggestion for improvement would be to provide some shop or body wash in the shower and perhaps some shampoo. Communications with Hilary were good and we would recommend Rural Views if you're looking for something clean, confortable and not too pricey.
The host Hilary was most welcoming, friendly and very helpful. This was a wonderful place to stay. The facts and reviews are accurate and was just what we were looking for. Thank you
Élvezetes néhány napot töltöttünk a szálláson. Távol a város nyüzsgésétől, de nem a városon kívül. A háziasszony gyengélkedése ellenére férje kitett magért és egyedül is állta a sarat. Mindig nagyon egészséges reggelit kaptunk. De azt bőségesen.
We spent a lovely week end at Hilary's house. She and her husband gave us a very warm welcome, and were full of advises about what to do. We would definitely come back to her place for our next trip to Bath.
Hilary made us feel very welcome. Our room was comfortable and clean and provided us with everything we needed. Breakfast was delicious. The location is delightful, being a short walk to countryside but still only a twenty minute walk to the city. If only the weather had been better!

I live in Bath with my husband and our dog. Both our sons have left home and now live in London. We enjoy travel, reading, walking Henry, cinema and socialising with friends. We also enjoy hosting foreign students and generally love having people in our home.
Alan is a keen potter and we have many of his pieces on show around the house.
