An hour and a half outside of Seattle and just 25 minutes from Steven’s Pass, this three-bedroom, two-bath cabin sits on one acre of land on the edge of the Skykomish River in Baring, Washington. Chef’s kitchen, comfortable beds, games, Blackstone flat-top and traditional grills, kids toys, and close proximity to hikes, Leavenworth, and river activities. For those looking to go against the current, The Eddy is the perfect destination for a lazy summer weekend or a snow-filled ski trip.
The space
Owned by seven friends from Seattle, The Eddy embraces eclectic easiness and design-forward sensibilities. The perfect spot for adventure and entertaining, this three-bedroom cabin sleeps 6 comfortably and is equipped for everything from cooking to couch-surfing. But, the real attraction lies right outside the backdoor. Direct river access for swimming, floating, fishing, berry picking and more.
Guest access
You will have access to the cabin, the front yard, the back yard, and the open wooded lot to the east of the cabin. As we do not have a fence, please respect the neighbors and do not cross over onto to their properties.

Are you kid friendly?
Of course! With little ones of our own, we’re stocked with toys, games, a Pack-N-Play, a high-chair, plates/cups/utensils and loads of outdoor activities for the family. (Note: We do not provide children’s life jackets. Please pack your own.)
Do you have a hot tub?
Yes! If you choose to enjoy the hot tub, please follow the below rules carefully:
• Clean water and clean humans only. Shower/Rinse before entering.
• Please do not add any liquids, bubbles, lotions, bath bombs, etc. to the
hot tub.
• Please be respectful of neighbors and keep noise to a minimum, honoring our quiet hours (9pm-9am).
• DO NOT use glassware in or near the hot tub. Acrylic/plastic drinkware is provided for your hot tub time.
• Please notify us if the water level is below the jets. You can add more water using the hose if needed.
• Securely cover hot tub when not in use, at night and upon check-out.
• Turn the hot tub down to 100 when checking out.
Do you allow pets?
At this time, we do not.
What's the deal with your EV charger?
It's an NACS (aka Tesla) Level 2 charger. We don't have a CCS adapter but you can bring your own. We charge $25 for access to the charger so let us know at booking if you want it turned on for your trip.
Do you offer an early check-in / late check-out?
This is based on availability and should be requested prior to check-in. Should we have an immediate booking and our team needs extra time in between guests, we won’t be able to accommodate. But, we understand that sometimes you want to stretch out that last day - the river is just that good. We’ll do our best to accommodate for an additional fee so just ask!
What’s the kitchen like?
Much of our time spent at a vacation rental is spent cooking together, and we hope you’ll find everything you need to do the same. Our kitchen is equipped with your standard appliances plus a coffee grinder, Olson coffee maker, tea kettle, toaster, blender, hand-mixer, and Crock Pot. With place settings for 8-12 and enough glassware for a full wine tasting, we hope you’ll find everything that you need to gather around the table. Beyond the kitchen, we provide an outdoor gas grill, Blackstone griddle, acrylic dishware, and seating for dining al fresco.
What’s the coffee sitch?
We are equipped with a coffee grinder, a french press, and an Olson coffee maker.
I’m here to get away for the weekend but there’s still good Wi-Fi, right?
Of course. And, there’s more. We’re equipped with fiber high-speed internet, Bluetooth speakers, an Audio-Technica turntable and a FireTV to stay on track with your binge-of-choice. For those looking for some lo-fi entertainment, our game and puzzle collection should keep you entertained inside or out.
What if the power goes out?
The Eddy is located in a rural area, and sometimes we briefly lose power. But don't worry – we have a kit of lanterns, head lamps, and batteries under the laundry room sink. The grill and Blackstone griddle will still function without power, and the fireplace should keep the place warm!
Are there any no-nos we should know about?
No smoking indoors. No confetti or glitter. No decorations adhered to the walls (tape, pins, nails, etc.) No fireworks. No parties. No jerks.
