Quiet penthouse bathed in southern light, with amazing views in über-hip Williamsburg. Incredible location, right in the heart of it all while still being quiet enough to get a good night's rest.
3 bedrooms in the pre-war Edward Apartments. The classy remodel kept exposed brick walls and big south-facing windows. Kitchen is brand new and well-appointed by a foodie. The roof deck, just one floor up (almost like an additional living room), is stunning - unobstructed 360 degree views. It is one of the best views you can get of Manhattan.
One room has a California King bed. The other two have full-size, comfortable sofa beds that convert easily to make for a couch to read or work during the daytime.
This home has a warm, cozy, sanctuary-like feeling that you will love coming home to after a day out enjoying the city. Lots of special touches - flowers, international accents, unique art, beautiful furniture.
You're a seven-minute walk from the L train and one subway stop from Manhattan. You're also a nice walk to the beautiful East River Ferry, which puts you a few stops from Brooklyn Bridge Park, Downtown and Midtown.
You are located half a block from Bedford Avenue, the center of the action in the coolest neighborhood in town. Nearby you'll find (among many more): The Sketchbook Project, Mast Brothers' Chocolate, Traif, Blue Bottle Coffee, Spuytin' Duyvil, Saltie, Milk Bar, Pies 'n Thighs, Cafe Moto, Marlow & Sons, Marlow & Duaghters, EAT, the Brooklyn Kitchen, Fette Sau, Caracas, Barcades...
It really is the heart of it all, while still being quiet and homey.
We look forward to hosting you!

Lopa's gorgeous little apartment was exactly as described. I didn't mind waking up to the top floor a couple of times a day, it was well worth it.
Lopa was friendly, very helpful and responsive.
This apartment is in the most perfect little spot in Williamsburgh - a stones throw from the best Brooklyn has to offer but in a quieter side street.
A real New York walk up experience in a comfortable apartment with a great host, thank you Lopa!
We spent 6 nights in Lopa's wonderful apartment. It was our first airbnb experience and it was perfect. I had carefully selected the location to be close to a friend's house. That said, the apartment was perfectly located in Williamsburg. We enjoyed many neighborhood places such as a gyms, cycling class, restaurants, a chocolate store, a kids stores, etc. My family of four, two adults and two kids, stayed in the 3 bedroom apartment (which is not easy to find in this part of Brooklyn). We spent most of our time visiting friends and family and sight seeing but when in the apartment, we used the kitchen regularly for breakfast and it was supplied with everything we needed - even an amazing blender. The apartment is lovely with lots of interesting books! The only draw back is walking up the five flights of stairs. We knew this was the case by reading other reviews in advance but we considered it great exercise and completely worth the apartment's excellent location. We also spent a lot of time in Manhattan and it was so easy to get to from this location in Williamsburg. In writing this review, I realized that there may not have been a t.v. in the apartment but I don't know. Maybe something to ask the host. We were so busy, we never even thought about t.v. I highly recommend this wonderful apartment. The hosts, Lopa and her husband, were abroad when we came for our visit but they were incredibly responsive to all of our questions.
The reservation was canceled 13 days before arrival. This is an automated posting.
Great apartment in cosy, lively Williamsburg. The appartment is well situated for excursions to both Manhattan, Brooklyn and other parts of NYC. All the practicalities went smoothly. Lopa answered immediately all questions, we had, and everything with payment etc worked without any problems. We just called Lopa's neighbour Jason from the airport and he waited us with the key, when we arrrived. The appartment consists of one big and two smaller bright bedrooms, and one relatively large living room and kitchen combined . We also give a big plus for the roof terrace! You find it just one stair up with a magnificient view to the Empire State Building right in front of you. A great place to have breakfast or relax after a "busy" day in Manhattan. The only negative was that the appartment seemed to have been rented out for a while and probably therefore needed a duster.

We had a fantastic time staying in Lopa's apartment, despite the fact that it was five flights up, the shower head didn't work properly, the neighbor downstairs complained that our air conditioning was leaking in her apartment and we had a fat suit stolen from the rooftop! (We were a theatre company touring a show to New York Fringe and our very important costume was stolen when we left it out to dry!)
Despite all this, we had a wonderful wonderful time. The apartment was comfortable and the bed I slept in had the best king sized mattress I've ever laid my weary bones upon. The rooftop was awesome and we held a couple of small cocktail parties up there. Amazing views and ambience...just don't leave anything up there or it WILL be stolen.
The location was awesome and in very close proximity to funky Williamsburg. We had great coffee, juice bars, bars, restaurants and shops minutes walk away from our front door.
Our host was friendly and helpful - he graciously waived the fee for a lost key when I explained that we had put up with a faulty water system and air conditioner for three weeks without complaining. (Admittedly we probably should have been a little more assertive about these things but we were having too much fun to complain!) This is the kind of give and take that makes me want to keep coming back.
And yes, the five flights were hard work at times, but a great work out. I'm sure I was a couple of kilos lighter by the time we left!
Thanks for sharing your apartment Lopa, I loved your books, generosity in sharing your wonderful spices and your general outlook. We had a fantastic time. Tiffany.
We were greeted by Lopa's boyfriend Jason who promptly showed us around the apartment and up to the spectacular rooftop. He invited us to come to a BBQ a few days later but being NYC with so much to do, we simply didn't have time.
We didn't suffer any problems at all with the apartment. I might note that while it wasn't a problem at all for us, if you aren't too fit or struggle with stairs, then maybe give this place a miss. Six flights of stairs every day gave us a good workout but might not be suitable if you have issues with your fitness. Though on the upside, it meant that you were only one flight of stairs away from the rooftop :)
The apartment was very clean and had everything that we needed for a great stay. Great A/C that cooled the place down every quickly, a comfortable bed and a massive kitchen that you are actively encouraged to use. Very nice neighbourhood and close to everything that you could possibly need.
I would definitely recommend this place to anybody travelling to NYC and would most definitely look to stay in the apartment again.
We had a great experience and the Lopa's place met our expectations! The location in Williamsburg is indeed great and conveniently located near Bedford on the L train. The apartment is well furnished and comfortable.
There are a two things that one should know before renting: the apartment is on the last floor (6th I think) with steep stairs and no elevator and the A/C makes a lot of noise.
In the light of our experience, I would still recommand the place which was great.
