The Space

This a beautiful one bedroom apartment, newly renovated. it is in the heart of Cobble Hill. There is a kitchen, a bathroom, one bedroom, a living room/dining room. There is a queen size bed in the bedroom and a pull out bed/sofa that fits very comfortably 2. The apartment is on the second floor in a small building apartment of 3 floors. It is 140 a night. Each extra person is 40 dollars a night. It can accommodate up to 4.

As you will see the apartment is very clean. has beautiful light. it is very cozy. Everything you need is the apartment, towels, sheets, soap, dishes, kitchen utensils, WIFI... all you will need are your personal things.

I am in love with this neighborhood. I am steps away away from Trader Joe's. There are many beautiful bars on Smith, Henry street... Very good restaurants around the corner. The best chocolate croissant I have tasted in NYC is in a bakery one block away. Three streets away is a delicious meat shop. A lot of stores on Smith. A Barney Coop on Atlantic (3 blocks away). The apartment is a few minutes from the Brooklyn Bridge Park. I love this neigborhood.

Public transports are all around it : Jay-Street, Hoyt, Bergen. it is easy to get anywhere. And lots of buses also.

I am a designer. I hate clutter, like beautiful furniture and neatness. I will gladly give you addresses to go to, places to visit around the neighborhood. I can't wait to share this vision of Broolkyn with you.

I respond really fast to calls and text messages. Almost immediately. I am very easy going about checking in and checking out. I am very accommodating, I want your stay to be as easy as possible.
I like talking about nothing when I show you the apartment, so I can get to know you a little and, love to give recommendations of places to eat, drink, visit that are around the neighborhood. I am very sociable and easy going.

The place is minimalist and very cute, it has everything you need, not less not more, if you have great taste you will like it If not you won't get it and don't bother.
I like to share my home with open minded, easy going and sociable people as am I. I don't like people that see this only as a hotel service, it is my home that I am sharing with you. If you don't understand this don't bother either.

  • Third floor walk up in the heart of cobble hill. Good location. The apartment is small, but perfect for a single or couple. The bed is just a mattress on the floor, but the kitchen and bathroom are nice. Good for a short stay.

  • Jose' was great! Very accommodating. He was very flexible in regard to my schedule in regard to check-in and check-out and he made an effort to make sure that I was comfortable upon arrival. Further, Jose' made a point to alert me to the best local restaurants, night-spots and sights. I looked into some of his recommendations and he was spot-on.
The place was spartan but clean. The bathroom, kitchen, etc. were well maintained. The kitchen had all of the requisite implements required to entertain. The bedding was clean and the bed was comfortable.

  • This was my second stay with Jose and as expected he was a great host! I had some last minute requests and he was very accommodating. I love the space, it's in a great location, and I couldn't ask for a better host :)

  • Jose was a really great host. My friend and I took red-eye flights out to NYC and he allowed us to check in early, which was a huge bonus.

He gave great advice on the neighborhood and his place was extremely clean.

The location of his apartment is great as well. Coffee, nightlife, restaurants and only one stop away from Manhattan.

  • This was not what I expected.

To start with, the host met with me a few minutes after waiting which was fine. Once in the apartment he started picking up his clothes and underwear around the place while I am waiting. Not a good sign. After, he left I checked around the place to find out that the only sheet on bed a stained mattress cover and nothing else. After calling him and AirBnB customer service on a Friday evening and staying on hold for 1:15 minutes and with customer service intervention, he finally showed up around 9 PM with new sheets telling that AirBnB had agreed to buy the sheets. After he left, I found out that there is no soap of any description in the house as the dispenser was completely empty. So, at 11:00 PM, I went to the drug store and purchased soap and wash cloth which was also missing. He left two towels with one of them badly stained.

To me this is no worth it. AirBnB needs to run quality control or at least a check list of what constitutes a place for rent. Using bedding without protection to me is not acceptable. Having no soap or clean towels is not acceptable. I won't even into details on other things. There has to be a minimum sanitary health standards to maintain and this place is in its present form is not it.

  • Great little apartment in the heart of Brooklyn.
Ashley was very nice to arrange check-in and check-out times that work with our schedule. The apartment was very nice and cozy as pictures do a good job of describing the apartment. I would recommend anyone looking for a place in Brooklyn for a road trip.

  • We booked this apartment a couple weeks ago in September. It was very neat when we arrived and true to the description they wrote- it is clutter-free! The location was convenient with many little shops and metro stops nearby. Jose was very friendly and it was easy to coordinate getting the keys from him. Once we met up, he was very helpful with giving us directions and tips for the area. The shop with the tasty chocolate croissant they recommended around the corner, Bien Cuit, was divine! I recommend all the pastries there (we bought 6 different ones- all great!) we didn't spend much time in the area, as there is not a lot to see there, but it was a convenient location to get to most places we went in Manhattan and Brooklyn and the neighborhood is nice and apt is cozy, clean, and had enough space- it accommodated three people very nicely. There is also a fully equipped kitchen for those that need it. I highly recommend this apt to anyone!

  • This apartment was perfect for our weekend needs. Great location, more spacious than a hotel room, and very tidy. The hallways in the building are currently under construction, but what the hallways lacked in refinement, the apartment more than made up for with charm. As soon as we entered the apt. we felt right at home!

Jose and Ashley were incredibly gracious hosts – great communicators, very accommodating, and eager to please! They left us excellent dining tips in the neighborhood, and were very thoughtful from afar. They left us all of the necessities we needed: clean towels, bedding, wifi password, etc. and the entire trip went without a hitch!
