We love Sydney and also love hosting. How much interaction is up to you! We will be at hand any time all hours during your stay if you need us. You can reach us by phone, text or email, what you prefer. We also have a back up person standby incase you can't reach us. We are more then happy to give you suggestions on everything from breakfast places to creating a full day walk around tour. We welcome you to experience the amazing life of a Sydneysider!

The Neighborhood

Potts Point is one of Sydneys best neighborhood. Friendly, close, hip and safe. Home to some of the trendiest cafes, restaurants and boutiques, you’ll feel as though you've stumbled upon a little patch of Paris (yes, some clichés exist for a reason: the "Potts Point is like Paris" line is one such cliché... ) Tree-lined streets, gorgeous old art deco buildings, stunning views and the eclectic mix of amazing locals. Potts Point is close to everything, walking distance to the city and all landmarks. On one hand you have the Botanic gardens, Opera house and ABC pool, on the other hand cafes, train station, restaurants and shopping. Three big parks around the corner just waiting for you to grab a blanket and hang out people watching. Potts Point is as great and appreciated amongst families as a group of girlfriends looking for a good time or couples wanting amazing food to explore hand in hand.

Getting around

The apartment is extraordinary well located.
If you are arriving from the airport you take the Airport train to Town Hall, make an easy change to a local train, which runs all the time with high frequency, and get of at the stop called "Kings Cross" and walk around 400 meters. This will take you about 20 min.
By cab from the airport in-between 15-35 min depending on traffic.

The city center and all the famous landmarks are in walking distance. If you prefer to take the train that will take you 5 min from Kings Cross. Overall the communications from this are are the best in Sydney.

  • Sophie was very helpful, friendly and responsive in the planning of our sydney trip as well as throughout our stay in her apartment. While we were planning our itinerary, she gave us numerous advice and recommendations. Although she was not in town when we arrived, she made sure that we checked in her apartment smoothly and everything was a breeze. We were impressed by her apartment which was tidy, clean and comfortable and it made us feel just like home. Overall, an amazing one week stay in her apartment.

  • Potts point is the perfect location for a stay in Sydney, there are lots of amazing places to eat and it is an easy walk to Woolloomooloo or the city centre itself.

The apartment is contemporary modern and well kept, the cute balcony overlooks the buzzy Challis avenue and it's restaurants and is the perfect space to spend the late afternoon sipping a cocktail or savouring some wine. The bathroom is modern clean and has an amazing spa bath.

Sophie was a great host, ensure you ask her for recommendations of where to eat. We found some local gems that are not in the guide books.

    Overall an amazing weekend

  • We enjoyed staying at Sophie's apartment a lot, it is very well located in the inner city area of Sydney and surrounded by many fantastic eating places. The apartment is very comfortable for a family of 4 to stay. Sophie was a great host and was very accommodating to our needs. Potts Point is a very interesting area and very close to the beautiful Elizabeth Bay. Staying at Sophie's apartment is highly recommended.

  • The apartment was fantastic, the location ideal and Sophie was the perfect host.
We were delighted that the accommodation was just as good as it appeared on the website. Sophie was an attentive host, making sure we were happy and settled before leaving us to enjoy our stay. The location is ideal, being close enough to the city centre to walk, but also within easy reach of the station at Kings Cross. The locality is full of life and funky bars and restaurants. We particularly liked sitting on the balcony with a drink, soaking up the atmosphere from the street below. And when it was time to leave, the airport is just 20 mins away. All-in-all, we had a wonderful week in Sydney, and a large part of that was due to the Oaks. If it is a tiny bit above your budget I would strongly advise you to stretch a little - it's worth it!

  • Staying at Sophie's apartment was like staying at one of Sydney's boutique hotels. The apartment is very stylish, comfortable and clean--it also has incredible views of the city! The location is amazing, walking distance from all of the great restaurants and bars in potts point. Sophie was a lovely host, she welcomed us with a letter of great things to do in the area, and left a little jar of lollies for our trip. I will definitely stay here again when I come back to sydney!

  • An amazing, light-filled and large apartment in a perfect location! We were able to walk everywhere. Sophie was a great host and her local recommendations were fantastic, even for former residents and seasoned Sydneysiders like us. Surprisingly quiet given the location, and there are literally a million and one restaurants, cafés and attractions at your doorstep. Definitely recommend a walk down to Andrew Boy Charlton Pool and Mrs Macquarie's chair, book in advance to get into Monopole (food was amazing and staff super friendly), and drop by Ms G's (for dinner) and Fratelli Paradiso (one of my all time Sydney favs) We really appreciated the flexible check-in/check-out too! We'd definitely stay again.
