Interaction with Guests
We live in the house, and you will see us coming and going, but we give our guests their privacy, as well.
Great walking and biking neighborhood.
There are buses - no mass transit like most big cities have and Jacksonville is quite a large and spread out. You can walk and bike to many places in our immediate neighborhood to access other areas like the beach it is best to have a vehicle.
Other Things to Note
Please understand that in the state of Florida if an Airbnb host provides food for their guests they are technically required to obtain a restaurant and Hotel license. The cost of such license would need to be passed on to our guests making it impossible to keep the rates at a reasonable level. With this said, we encourage you to bring your own food and drink
You will have your own key to come and go as you please, however, we ask you to do so quietly as you will be accessing your private room through our common area. No smoking indoors. There is a front porch where you can relax and read a book or just day dream. You are welcome to visit with us in our living room, however, your room is large enough if you prefer more privacy. No more than 2 guests per room. Sorry, no pets but you can enjoy our cats.
Patti has been a great host. This is our second stay at her home with a couple more to come in the next month. I travel for business and Patti makes it easy to get work done in a home-like atmosphere. Much appreciated.
She was very flexible when my dates of travel had changed. Thanks, Patti!
Patti, again did a great job making sure that I was able to access everything I'd need and made us feel welcome.
Patti's home was in a lovely neighborhood where we felt completely safe, the home was beautiful and warm and our room was huge and comfortable. I can't think of one improvement.
We have family in Jacksonville and when we visit, we will stay with Patti!!
Thanks, Patti! We had a great stay at your home. Very nicely decorated, ultra clean and you made us feel very welcome. Great location close to everywhere we needed to be.
This is my first experience with airbrb, and I really enjoyed the stay. Patti and Brad were very nice, and they gave me many advice about the neighborhood and restaurants. This was also my first time to live in USA for a long period, and everything was new for me. I really want to thank Patti for helping me with several arrangements.
Also, the house was very pleasant and the room was very clean and big.
I definitely will go back to visit them.
patti is a very gracious, fun & exceptional host...and she supplied me with almost her whole stash of water bottles! :)
the room is very large & comfy & matches the description in the listing perfectly...you get a lot for very reasonable price. i love walking in the tree lined historic riverside area and there are so many great restaurants and parks within walking distance of patti's house. i recommend this host and accommodation unreservedly!
Patti made us feel very welcome in her delightful home in the Riverside neighborhood just 2 or 3 blocks from our son's home. The parking space was ideal. The room on the 2nd floor was spacious and well furnished. The private bath with walk-in shower was fully equipped with a hair dryer, liquid soap, and even soap and shampoo in a dispenser in the shower. I had explained that my husband had a mobility problem but could manage stairs as long as there was a railing. We discussed with Patti and her husband that no one could grasp the 2 x 2 (or perhaps 3 x 3) which is attached to the wall, thus making it unusable as a railing. They agreed that attaching a standard round railing would be an easy job. Aside from that problem the room was very comfortable and quiet. We would recommend it to friends.

After working in the Medical Nutrition field for over 20 years and running a traditional B&B in my home for over 8 years I decided to make a career change. I recently opened a Massage and Wellness center where I practice the art of Thai Yoga Massage Therapy. At our Wellness center we also have Yoga classes and on-going workshop, classes and events so make sure you ask about them while you are visiting in case there is something that might interests you. I enjoy hand-building pottery pieces and constructing mosaics in my spare time. My husband is an engineer and likes to tour on bicycle and sail. We both enjoy nature, art, movies, hiking, kayaking sailing, our cats and meeting new people.
