Lovely home in walking distance to shops & restaurants. Accommodations were clean, bed was comfortable and host was very courteous and friendly. We would stay there again for sure!
I'm sure there's not a better place to stay in Jacksonville. Patti and Brad were friendly, excellent hosts, and the cats Vincent and Bear were delightful. Patti made sure I had all I needed and gave me info on the neighborhood as well as a bike to explore the wonderful tree-lined streets. The former B & B room was spacious, clean, and comfortable with a great sitting area, en suite bath, and hallway mini-kitchen. On a quiet street yet within a few minutes walk from the restaurants and shops of the attractive and interesting Riverside area. I had good meals at Cafe Freda, Cool Moose, and Soups On. The location is close to downtown and easy to get to other areas for day trips: Little Talbot State Park, Fernandina Beach, Jacksonville Beaches. I spent a week here and could easily have stayed longer enjoying the company, the house and the neighborhood. All my expectations were exceeded and many thanks to you Patti and Brad!
Patti and Brad were great hosts. Their home is lovely and exactly as photos show. Our room was clean, spacious and very comfortable. The location was great to area restaurants and shopping. Patti was very helpful in recommendations. Definitely would recommend them to friends and family visiting Jacksonville.
Patti's house is so very lovely! Walking distance from all the great parts of Riverside. Easy access to the city bus, which can take you right into downtown. I am from Jacksonville, and I chose Patti's because of the great location for being in town without a car, but the beautiful big house and Patti's hospitality made our stay cozy and easy. Can't wait to visit again!
Patti was a welcoming and helpful host. The room and bath were totally private and very comfortable. She and her husband were gracious - offered an invitation to participate in a neighborhood event - and respectful of private space. A lovely place to stay. She was helpful with public transit info also.
I booked this room on behalf of a presenter who was visiting us at the Cummer Museum here in Riverside and I couldn't be more pleased with the result. Patti was friendly and helpful and very laid-back. Although I didn't stay here personally I saw the room which was great and would highly recommend booking with Patti if you're in the area.
This is better than most hotels we have stayed on. It felt like being at home. Having your own bathroom connected to the room was perfect. Patti is very kind and attended to all our needs, bringing out bikes for us to borrow and telling us about the neighbourhood. Quite a few restaurants and cafes are at a walking distance from the house, and Riverside is a very nice area.
The historic Riverside suite is our favorite airbnb stay in the whole country! I first stayed here for one week when my daughter was scheduled for surgery at Shands Medical Center, only an 8 minute commute. The spacious and well-appointed room complete with sitting area, desk, and TV/DVD/VHS player, was so comfortable that we both returned for the post-op follow-up. Patti is a gracious hostess, whose recommendations for restaurants and attractions are now on our "must" list. The Riverside location is ideal for walking to many eateries and shops including the Avondale area and, of course, the river front. My daughter especially enjoys the three resident kitties who lounge on the porch, pounce in the grass, and watch TV in the living room...but are not allowed upstairs in the guest accommodations. We highly recommend a stay here for a weekend or a week of laid-back, self-indulgence for one person or a couple.
Patti' and her home were wonderful! It's located in a great neighborhood, with about 30 minutes access to the beach. The room is extremely comfortable and spacious. It includes a great seating area with books and movies to help you further disconnect and enjoy your stay. I wish I could have stayed longer as I immediately felt at home.
Patti pointed out some great spots for us for food and drinks! also, she was helpful while being respectful of privacy.
The listing mentions cats on the first floor but not on the second. I I was initially worried about that, being that I am very allergic. However, there was no problem at all! I couldn't even tell that there were any cats in her home.
All in all: I had a great time! I only wish I could have stayed longer and have been an even better guest to Patti.
Wow !!Where to start...I was in a major transition in life at the time, and my stay at Patti's was just what the doctor ordered..Super quiet...very comfortable...awesome porch..just a great all around house with great folks to host. I .Love the entire neighborhood of Riverside..I could go on a great deal more honesty.. I know I could not have had it any better anywhere else.
