This luxury ski-on, ski-off Grand Lodge on Peak 7 Resort is steps from the Independence Superchair. The spacious 1,200 sf, two-bedroom residence provides the perfect accommodations for your family or group of friends. Make yourself at home in luxurious lodging with stainless-steel appliances, granite counter tops, a washer/dryer, a gas fireplace, a large living space and a private balcony.

The space
The 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom units at the Grand Lodge at Peak 7 are really spectacular. They do sleep 8 but I would expect they would be a little tight with 8 adults, but certainly fun and do-able, with the 2 king beds and 2 queen sofa pullouts. For 2 families of 4 with children or just a single family, the space would be excellent. The Grand Lodge makes for the easiest ski vacation imaginable. If you arrive by car, park it in the heated garage below the building and leave it there for the week. There is a free shuttle that can bring you to town for dinner or shopping and back up the hill with a phone call. The oversized ski lockers fit all your skis, boots and poles with plenty of benches and space to move around while getting ready. When you are all ready, out the door, a few steps up to the snow and ski 100 yards down to the Independence Superchair to start your day. Wish to start at the base of Peak 8, just walk past the chairlift a bit and board the gondola over to Peak 8.
If you need equipment, Breck Sports is next door to the Grand Lodge as well as the ticket window, if you have not purchased in advance or have questions.
Want to have lunch in your room, ski right to the gate, rack your skis and head for the elevator; no need to take your boots off. At the end of the day, store your gear in your private locker in the locker room and head to the lobby bar, pool or one of the 3 outdoor hot tubs. Dinner in your room, in town or past the Concierge to the Sevens Restaurant on site.
There are also private movie theaters, with hundreds of titles to choose from; remember to bring a package of microwave popcorn, there is a microwave in the back of the room.
A reservation has been made for you for Wednesday 3/25/26 from 9:20pm in Theater 3, seats 8. A change is only possible based on availability after you book and they do fill up quickly.
There is also a small arcade with some video games as well as a pool and air hockey table. When you are done for the day, get up and do it all over again! There are quite a few peaks to explore at Breckenridge!
And if anyone would like to take a day off from the slopes, the Grand Lodge has the Soothe Spa on the premises!

Note: This reservation will be in Building 1, which runs Saturday - Saturday. Room and floor are determined at arrival but requests can be submitted when you book but are not guaranteed.

Note 2: Our home is near the Sugarbush ski resort in Warren, VT that went Ikon Pass and Breck is Epic Pass, so we are open to selling our Winter Plus Week at the Grand Lodge and willing to deduct the cost of this week from sale price. Our Deeded Floating Winter Plus week includes Weeks 1-15 & 47-50, every other year on Even Years. (Basically Dec - March not including the Christmas/New Years weeks)

Guests have access to the entire resort as well as access to the concierge services.

Other things to note
Check-In time is Saturday at 4pm. Check-Out is Saturday 10am. Arriving Early? Give the Front Desk a call to see if your room is ready. If not, parking will still be available. Bags may be dropped off and held on early arrival and/or later departure.

2 Parking Spaces in the heated garage and 2 Ski Lockers are Available for Use.

A movie reservation has be booked for 3/25/26 at 9:20PM. The theater will be all yours. Changing the day / time may be possible based on availability. Ask after your booking is confirmed. Additional reservations possible but only 1 reservation at a time.

Pool and Hot Tub Hours: 9:00AM - 10:00PM

Pets are NOT allowed for guests.

The Grotto hot tub is Adults Only.

Cleaning mid-week is available for a fee and can be arranged with the Concierge and is paid for by the guest.

The residence reservation is in Building #1, the specific room/floor is determined upon arrival.

My mother and grandmother gave the name La Chanterelle to the house in Warren in the 1970's; partly because they found some chanterelles on the property and I think they saw the house metaphorically as a mushroom in the middle of the large meadow. We live here full time now and as mushrooms tend to pop up here and there, the guest house apartment popped up in 2016 so our family could live in it while we renovated the main house and then family and friends could visit us when they wished. We now also make it available for others that may wish to visit this beautiful, quiet 'lightly touched' spot in the Mad River Valley of Central Vermont.
