The cottage is a classic cute Manapouri house that sleeps five people in three bedrooms. It has lots of character and is in a great location, just a few minutes walk to the lake.
This house offers a cozy stay in a mountain cottage.
Welcome Home Cottage is a fully self contained cute character bach, located in Manapouri, on the edge of Fiordland National Park.
The cottage features superb mountain views, BBQ and outdoor area. There is also a huge backyard along with a working coal range, open fire, mountain bike and kayak for your use, plenty of books, games and DVDs to keep everyone entertained.
Lake Manapouri is a 5 minutes walk away, and with Te Anau being a 15 minute drive, it makes the Welcome Home Cottage an ideal place to base yourself for your adventures in Fiordland, and trip to Milford / Doubtful Sound.

Very nice place with lots of thoughtful details. Good value for your money. Only issue was a troublesome mouse that ate a bit of our food.
Christine, what a very nice place you provided us for our 3 night stay. The weather was also very nice, so we did not need to light the fire. Manapouri is very close to both Te Anau and Milford Sound, which is why we chose your place. Cheers,
David, Donna & Fiona.
Staying in Manapouri was a convenient way to break up the trip to Milford Sound. We really liked that one of the rooms was in a separate building for a bit more privacy. Amazing stars too!
Rustic cain in a quiet village with easy distance to Te Anau.
Host responsive to our needs.
In March it takes a while to heat the cabin using electric heaters.
This is a good place for those who want to be alone. For us, we enjoy having hosts present which wasn't the case here.
What a lovely, quiet place to relax and unwind! We had great weather over our two night stay so we took advantage of the garden, lying outside and reading in the sun. Thank you for the bikes -we took them for a spin along past the lake. The scenery and views were amazing! The rustic cottage was a great place to stay for our trip to Doubtful Sounds as the house is about a 5 minute walk away. We highly recommend the trip with Real Journeys. The views are stunning and the crew were friendly.
In one word: AWESOME STAY. The cabin is very cosy and rustical. We were really happy to stay here. We had bikes to make a trip around to the lake. In the evening we made a fire in the fire place. Super soundsystem with genial radio music. Clean and tidy. One of the best if not THE BEST AirBnb we had in New Zealand. Highly recommended to everybody!!!
Great place to stay, wish I could've stayed longer... Very east to deal with...
We love the outdoors, travelling and reading books by the fire. Airbnb has worked well for us - both renting our place in New Zealnd, and when we travel overseas.
