Interaction with Guests
Depending on your arrival and departure times, I try and make an effort to meet and chat with all my guests.
Much like SoHo in New York and Le Marais in Paris, the Plateau has international renown as the neighbourhood with the most caché. Furthermore located in the southern end of the neighbourhood, you can easily get to Old Montreal, Downtown and the Mile End, three of the most interesting parts of the city to explore. Close to the action, all the while being in a quiet residential area. Truly the best of both worlds.
Getting around from my flat is incredibly easy. There are two metro stations located within a 5 minute walk, both of which are on two of the major lines. There are also two major bus axis within a two minute walk from the apartment. And lastly you have easy access to Montreal's communal bike service, Bixi, which allows you to borrow and return bikes all over the city.
If you are arriving with a car there is free street parking on the street in front of the apartment. Most guests who arrive by car park it upon their arrival and do not move it again until it is time to leave. This truly is a great location to explore the city.
Lastly, arriving from the airport is a breeze. You can use the '747' bus which brings you to the central bus station, a ten minute walk away. Or you can catch a cab with fixed downtown rates of $40 CDN.
Other Things to Note
A lot of love and energy went into creating this space. I had my future guests in mind when designing everything and hope that they appreciate the work that has gone in. The goal has been for people to come from all over the world and feel at home (and maybe even return).
Treat the place as if it were your own.
- No smoking indoors.
- Respect the neighbours (including those above and below you)
- Enjoy the space and the city
Christopher's apartment was fantastic. The pictures don't quite do the place justice in the sense that in reality it's even nicer and bigger than it appears on the pictures. Booking was very smooth, Christopher always replied promptly and the apartment was spotless when we arrived. It is located in a very nice and central area in Montreal. Really can't beat this location. I booked very last minute but Christopher was quick and efficient to accommodate my booking. He also personally came by to make sure that we had everything we needed and to give us tips about local sights and activities. I will definitely try to come back here when I'm visiting Montreal again.
We had a great stay in the apartment. It was in the PERFECT location - we walked basically everywhere, but were still far enough away from the loud areas of the city that we could get a good night's sleep. I felt very safe as well.
It is a very cool and comfortable space with plenty of room to relax and enjoy company and meals, or to veg out in front of the TV if needed. We also loved the kitchen (including the Nespresso machine and dishwasher, very important amenities!!)
It was great of Chris to check in with us and make sure we had what we needed!
Apartment very unique and great taste, very CLEAN and equipped with every comfort. Our family (with two children) stayed a week and we had a great time. Chris was an excellent host, likeable, friendly, helpful and discreet. The location of the apartment was comfortable and located close to the major attractions of Montreal. We would certainly recommend this accommodation to everyone.
Description and pictures of apartment are exactly what you see when you arrive. Comfortable beds, all the amenities you would ever need, fully stocked kitchen for anyone who loves to cook. Great restaurants close by if you don't like to cook. Quiet area/street at night but, easy to walk to bustling areas for nightlife. Christopher responded quickly to all our needs. On street parking easy to find.
Our weekend stay here was wonderful. The apartment is on a quiet street, and the space itself is beautifully designed, with comfort in mind. If you're a small group or a couple, I would especially recommend considering this for your stay. Chris was attentive and happy to share recommendations in and around the neighborhood. I've stayed in this part of Montreal a few times before, and found this experience at Chris's place to be the best yet.
My husband, our 9 month old and I stayed in Christopher's beautiful 2 bedroom apartment. The apartment was great. It was clean and the everything was beautiful. The apartment is just steps away from many restaurants and is located between St. Laurent and St. Denis, and yet it is really quiet in the aparment itself. We had our baby boy with us and he slept through the night without any disturbances. There was parking just on the street outside and the actual location of the apartment was fantastic.
Christopher was also super nice and very helpful. He suggested restaurants for us to go to and left us a nice little card to welcome us to Montreal. He's also great with getting back to you through email. He even came by to say hello to us and see how we were doing and what we thought of the apartment.
I would definitely go back and stay there again!
