Toucan Lodge is ideally placed for visiting the Iguazu Falls in both Argentina and Brazil and easily accessible from both airports.
The accommodation is an independent 1 bedroom cabaña style chalet located within the Lodge which has a large swimming pool set within 2 acres of gardens.
The Lodge has an abundance of fruit trees, including avocado, orange, lemon, grapefruit, papaya, mulberry and bananas. Toucan Lodge is in a country setting close to the centre of Puerto Iguazu (5 mins by taxi or a short trip by bus) and just outside the National Park (Arg) where the Iguazu Falls are located (a 20 minute drive or bus ride as the Falls are 15km inside the park).
The chalet has a bedroom with double bed (or two singles), living room with a sofa (bed), coffee table, table, chairs, refrigerator, kettle and you have your own private bathroom. Outside there are BBQ facilities that guests can use, as well as tables and chairs to relax in the garden or by the swimming pool. Free WiFi is available !
We are a short trip to the border crossing with Brazil and about 25 minutes drive to the airports in Brazil (Iguassu Falls Airport in Foz do Iguacu) and here in Argentina (Cataratas del Iguazu Intl Airport, Puerto Iguazu). Ciudad del Este in Paraguay is about 40 minutes away.
If you wish to use local buses to go to the Iguazu Falls or pop into the small town of Puerto Iguazu for shops, restaurants etc we are only 300m from the bus stop where services are cheap and regular. Local trips by taxi are very reasonably priced.
A regular daily bus service will also take you to visit the Brazilian side of the Falls and the Parque Das Aves (Bird Park).
We live on site at the Lodge and will be delighted to assist you in planning your trip and helping you out once you are here !!!

Pretty good stay with Danny and Christina. Danny is a genial and well-informed host. Speaking fluent English and Spanish, he gave us great info about the Falls, local transport and restaurants (Aqua very good) Cabins are simple rustic. Partner Christina and daughter Sophie were delightful.
Only problems were the Brazilian hot water system (too hot) and it would have been a little more comfortable to (email hidden)/or ceiling fan in the front room and a not-so-hard mattress. Temps were 35+ when we were there in February.
Good-sized swimming pool and very pleasant garden. Speaking of water, make sure you do the Zodiac boat ride under the Falls. Cooool!
Toucan Lodge has a beautiful setting and our host, Danny, was very helpful and (email hidden) the name implies, the Lodge is not a self-contained apartment, so, apart from a very nice breakfast, it was necessary to take a taxi or bus to the town centre to eat. It seems that a lot of accommodation is out of the town itself.
Our stay at Toucan Lodge was very comfortable and a lovely retreat (with the pool) after sightseeing days at the amazing Falls. It was a pleasure to meet Danny and his family.
The place was better than we expected, very spacious! Danny was extremely helpful with places to go, directions and general things.
Danny's place is fantastic! The lodge has a great outdoors atmosphere, and the BBQ, pool and huge garden provide plenty of opportunities to relax. Most of all, Danny hinself is a great host, who will cater to all your needs.
We enjoyed our stay with Danny and his Family very much! Danny helped us planning our 2 days at the falls in advance, which was very valuable and helpful. The lodge is beautiful, the room was large and comfortable and we also enjoyed the Garden and swimmingpool very much. We would like to recommend to stay with Danny as he made our stay totally Worth it!!

Great place. Out of the way but still easy to get to town and the falls. Danny was a great host. Made everything super easy.
We had a great time at Toucan Lodge. Danny is a wonderful, helpful, gracious host and the grounds of this lodge are in a beautiful, natural setting with fruit trees and loads of native, colorful birds. Danny went out of his way to help us....with directions, taxis, information about the falls...everything he could do to make our stay there a pleasant time. The accommodations are clean and cheery. The continental breakfast is far more than the typical; with fresh cut fruit, ham, cheese, toast and homemade jams. Without hesitation, this is a great choice for your visit at Iguazu Falls.
A great journey in a beautiful place in the mid of nature.
The toucan lodges were a very nice experience and a very welcome escape from the stressful day-to-day business. Danny and his family are great hosts, very helpful during all our trip with a lot of insider recommendations. Our trip was perfect, the weather was great, the Iguazu falls were amazing and the soccer results came as a bonus on top.
Thanks to Danny and his family.
Danny was by far the greatest lodge owner I met in South America!!!
The room was perfectly clean, the breakfast arrived on time everyday and most important, he was extremely helpful.
He helped us with the forex as we were stuck with no change, he called a taxi for us any time we need one and he was full of advices concerning the city and her restaurant.
I strongly recommend it.
A perfect place to stay, the lodge is pretty much halfway between the falls and the town. Danny has a good deal going with one of the local taxi companies so you can pop into town for some dinner for a 25-peso cab ride (about $5). It a good idea to pick up a few snacks for the mini-fridge since there aren't restaurants in the immediate area, but it is really not an inconvenience to go to town at all. The grounds themselves are beautiful, and the pool is heavenly on a hot day. It's worth it to stay at least one extra day just to enjoy it! The breakfast brought to our room every day was simple and just the thing. Danny is extremely helpful and informative and made us feel very comfortable! I would highly recommend this place. It's a lovely, peaceful retreat.
