Beach front house on a dirt road that runs along Careyeros and Punta Negra beach. It is about a 3 minute drive to the paved highway. A car is recommended for this location as there isn't frequent bus service and the bus stop is 10 mi walk.
New Ocean Front two bedroom house with great breezes and views. On Playa Careyeros, one of the most pristine beaches of the area. Get away from the tourists and the crowds and commune with Ocean, Sand, whales and Pelicans. This is a great walking, swimming and snorkeling beach, and often from November through April you can see whales right from your porch. The bedrooms are large and both have ocean views. The bathrooms are finished with marble and onyx giving them a very clean elegant feeling.
We are located 45 minutes north of the Puerto Vallarta airport, in the area of Punta Mita; around the geographical point from the Four Seasons Resorts.
Maid service is available at an additional fee to you (the guest), if you so choose to use this service. The house is fully equipped and has slow internet service. The internet service works for normal emailing and streaming, but if there are more than 1 or 2 people working full time on line, it is unreliable. We buy our water by the truck load so we request that you conserve water whenever it is possible.
The price is $1200 USD per week or $200 USD per day during the green season and $300 a day during the high season. Security deposit is required for rentals that exceed two weeks.
I love the fact that this is a single road with beach front houses, and no tall buildings, commerces or stores, just the sand. sun and water. There is however one gourmet restaurant for a special dinner at Casa Mita which is right down the road from us.
A car is best for this location, as the public transportation is a 10 to 15 minute walk away and the buses only run every several hours.
Other Things to Note
This house has a toaster oven, but no oven.
Please keep the house neat and let the owner know immediately if any problem arises. Dogs are welcome as long as they go to the bathroom outside and you pick up after them, and they do not get on the furniture or beds.
Thank you and look forward to meeting you!
1] When we met her she told us she didn't know we were arriving in a taxi, tho I told her during email correspondence. When we arrived she said the buses are few to her area and we need a car to go anywhere.
2] She said the listing is wrong and there is no twice-weekly maid service included. And then she "Compromised" by giving us once-a-week service. The maid came 3 times during our 31 days instead of 8 times. The maid would not come at the time or day she said. She just showed up whenever was convenient for her. She never called to say she wasn't coming. The last time she said Thursday at 11, but she showed up Monday at 2.
3] When we arrived is the first we were told we had to conserve water and that the water is trucked in. That night we had cold water showers. Every time there were two cloudy days, we were taking cold showers.
4] The pictures hid the fact that there isn't an oven. I wish she had said it in the listing. Living 25 bus-miles from the big store was hard but a month without an oven made it much worse.
5] Her advertising said Fast internet. It was the slowest we've had since the 80s and dialup. It was point-5 mbps when it worked. Everywhere else we stayed in Mexico we had not point five but five mbps. We rented only because she said FAST. She knew we'd be working full-time.
She lets her permanent tenants park in our carport, and we were awakened abruptly every Monday thru Friday at 6:36 am by the noises she makes with her doors, trunk, and engine.
The pictures and description don't reveal that your bathroom window is on the street with garbage trucks, cistern water trucks, gas trucks, bottled water trucks, recycling trucks, plus the pickup trucks and motorcycles of the maintenance men, maids, the people who along the street, and the beach goers and surfers. The noise goes right into the master bedroom and it's loud, starts early, lasts all day, seven days a week.
She knew we were getting a taxi from the bus terminal at 4:30. She said she'd stay home starting at 4:30. We were right on time. Exhausted from the long bus ride, we searched for her for 40 minutes, knocking on doors because we didn't know which building was ours and began to wonder if the taxi took us to the right place.. She didn't leave a note. She didn't tell her tenants. She finally showed up wet in a bathing suit and said she had to do laundry all day and it was the first chance she had to swim. She asked us why we didn't let ourselves in.
We've had so many amazing experiences thru airbnb but we wouldn't stay here again if it was free because we felt like we didn't matter at all.
I am very sorry that you had so many issues with a house that most people found delightful. I have done everything I could to explain to you about the issues that appear above. I state in multiple places in the description that a car is needed for this location. I also clarified in my add the things you said were not clear, like the lack of oven and slow internet, etc. My desire is to be totally transparent and for my quests to have a wonderful time.
I gave you my own toaster over, offered you the use of another oven, took your wife to town several times.
I also offered you a free stay which you declined, as what you really wanted was a free month in a beach front house. Why didn't you move out after the first week if you so disliked it? In that case a refund would of been forthcoming.
I truly apologize nevertheless for what you saw as our shortcomings and wish you blessings wherever your journey takes you.

Linda is certified in Emotional Intelligence, Coaching, Accelerated Learning, Conflict Resolution and NLP. She often travels for work. She lives at this home most of the year, and rents it out occasionally in order to travel or when out of town for work. This is such a beautiful place that no matter where I go, I am happy to come back. I love the ocean, swimming, snorkeling, boating, walking on the beach and fishing once in awhile...sitting on the porch or swinging in the hammock are also a favorite activities.I am glad to be able to share this beautiful spot with others.
