Tim was very easy to communicate with and was available via text message even late when we were trying to find things.
The house is set up like a hostel, and we rented the entire house. It is in the hood, but seemed safe enough. My recommendation: Take everything of value out of the car. My local ATL friend's recommendation: take everything valuable out and leave the vehicle unlocked to avoid broken windows.
There is a driveway, so the vehicle does not have to be parked on the street, and the driveway area can handle 3-4 cars if you are creative (we had 1 truck with a trailer).
We got access through a key in a lock box. No problem except the light on the porch was off, so it was hard to see. The wireless worked fine, but when I was surveying the location, there was a camera set up in the kitchen on a middle shelf. When asking Tim about it, he called it a "security camera". It is a simple wireless camera. I unplugged it and scanned the network to discover that it was the only device.
The rooms with queen sized beds: 1 had no air duct for AC coming in but a ceiling fan that worked, and the other one had an air duct but a ceiling fan that did not work. The bulb in the only non-ceiling lamp in the room was out, so we replaced it with one from another lamp in the house.
The pictures do not really match the accommodations. The house is rough, like you might expect a well-used hostel. The rooms in the pictures are clearly staged with some nice chairs, etc. There was sparse sitting in each room. Just the basics here.
If you are looking for a 2.5 star location to crash or bring a bunch of people, this is a good option, especially for the price. If you are looking for somewhere nice to stay, this is not the best.
I do, however, recommend working with Tim as he is a pro and has many properties to choose from. We would not choose this property again.
The reservation was canceled the day before arrival. This is an automated posting.
The house was perfect for a large group only staying one night in Atlanta. The beds were comfortable and there was enough parking for all the cars.
Tim was an excellent host and very helpful answering all our questions regarding the house and surrounding area. Our group enjoyed the stay and will contact Tim in the future if we need a place to stay in the Atlanta area.
Tim was a class act! I can definitely say a solid professional in how he handled his business. I appreciated working with him and would definitely do so again in the future!
My friends and I came to ATL for the Final Four games. Tim was an awesome host and welcomed us with cinnamon rolls and a tour of the house. The bed I slept in was extremely comfortable and the house is only about a 15 minute walk to the MARTA which we took to the clubs and Centennial Park. The house has a patio and firepit which we thought was a really nice way to end our nights. We can't wait to come back!

About the Host, Tim
I am a very relaxed and easygoing and open minded guy looking to host people and make new friends around the world. I have always wanted to work in the hospitality industry since I was a kid it was a dream of mine to own my own b&b. I lived in my home on Tift Ave for almost 15 years. I have hosted many friends and travelers from around the world in my historic home. Now that I found out about AirBNB, I am opening my home to you. I now have five properties close to downtown Atlanta three in historic Capital View neighborhood and two in Historic Adair Park neighborhood. they are both very close to downtown and walking distance from the marta train station and bus stops so Its very easy to get around the city without the need for a car. Several of the homes also can be booked entirely for larger groups.I also have many hostel spaces available great for travelers on a budget. I have male and female dorms. My 22 year old daughter is also a host at the female dorm house on Fairbanks Street She has a wonderful dog Grace that will stay mostly in her room .I love to share travel stories drink good wine and eat good food. I like almost anything as far as food goes and red and white white alike as well as a good beer. I really don't have any major rules just be a polite guest as I will be a great host and even show you around if you need me to. I also love the outdoors and know some great places to hike in Atlanta. I also love to cook, drink wine or beers and eat good food and have a Nice large kitchen for you to make yourself at home in as well as each house has a great private backyard and fire pit and large front porches, I live on Tift And My Daughter Lives on Fairbanks Street. Tift Ave has 4 outdoor cats and a small dog Alvin you will love. Fairbanks Street the girls dorm has a dog Grace that you will love.
