Nestled in Marin County just north of the Golden Gate Bridge, this home is just 5 minutes to the SF ferry or a 15-minute drive to San Francisco.
Comfortable, homey accommodations with bedrooms on the second floor and kitchen/living room area (with a massage chair) on the first. The tastefully-decorated guest room has a double bed, bookshelves, dresser, and a chair. A large private bathroom next to the room off of the hallway includes a bathtub/shower and full-length mirror. Wireless internet connection is available. Located in a townhome complex, with available free parking, there is a lovely outdoor private sitting area in the back garden. Kitchen use is available and shared with the owner.
The location is convenient for exploring the SF Bay Area, including the Golden Gate Recreation Area, Muir Woods and Pt. Reyes National Seashore. Bike paths and local hiking are just minutes away. A shopping center with Macy's, Nordstroms, and other boutiques are less than 5 minutes away, too. Relax here with a glass of wine after a busy day seeing the sights of the city and the nearby beautiful wilderness areas - waterfalls, beaches, lakes, and mountain.
Laurel was very accommodating and made me feel welcome and at home during my stay. Whenever anything came up, Laurel was quick to address it. I was taking a class just a few minutes away and the convenience was great. I also had the chance to do some great hiking near Stinson Beach, which was easy to get to from Corte Madera, just a short ~30 min drive along some great winding roads through the mountains.
We had a very comfortable night's stay at Laurel's place. Laurel is such a welcoming person. As soon as we arrived she poured us a glass of wine and got us some cheese! She was very helpful and provided us maps and suggestions for dinner and places to visit in the wine country. The house itself is clean and beautiful with lots of beautiful pieces of art. The room and bathroom were of good size with all the amenities. I would very much recommend Laurel's house and will definitely stay there again.
My stay with Laurel at her home was outstanding in every way! Her home is beautifully and very comfortably appointed, bright, spacious, airy, and readily accessible to everything in Marin and anywhere else in the Bay Area. Laurel is a consummate hostess. Truly one of the world's gentlefolk, she is gracious, warm, kind, and generous with both her time and friendliness, readily offering help and information with places to go and how to get there. She keeps her home immaculate, and privacy is assured in your own space and separate bathroom. I really feel that I have a genuine new friend in this wonderful lady and look forward to staying with her again when I visit Marin. Parking at her place was never a problem either!
This is indeed a lovely space and a lovely woman who makes you feel completely at home in it.
Laurel is such a lovely, friendly host... I was greeted with a hug and warmly welcomed to her beautiful home. She exemplifies the "my house is your house" spirit and I felt very safe and relaxed. Knowing I was in town for medical care, she was very thoughtful showing me around (ex: offering me her bathroom if I was unable to step into the deep tub). Her and her friend also brought my luggage in and up the stairs which is really above and beyond, and was so greatly appreciated. And as added bonuses - the guest bed is super comfortable with a memory foam topper and the home is close to a fabulous market! I highly recommend a stay with Laurel!
Laurel's town home was perfect for accessing the Mill Valley area with ease for the out of towner and close to so many recreational attractions that I'd love to revisit.
Laurel made me feel "At Home" right off the bat and shared her open space so graciously. I felt I had chosen the right place for my two night stay with a great sense of trust and freedom from the moment I arrived.
My pleasant room and cozy bed were very comfortable and I slept great! The spacious bathroom was super clean and conveniently located to my room upstairs. The kitchen was open for me to use but I decided to explore some of the local restaurant culture instead in downtown Mill Valley.
The unexpected conversations I had with Laurel and some of her friends were truly delightful and something that made my trip to the area even better.
I would certainly book a room at Laurel's if I ever needed to be near or around that NW side of the Bay Area again in a heart beat.
My first Airbnb experience was absolutely amazing and I will use it for all of my traveling needs in the future! Cheers!
What a beautiful house! We loved all the great books and the wonderful hospitality, even though we were working most of the time we still felt very comfortable with Laurel. I would recommend staying with her to anyone.
WOW! Laurel sets the bar very high for others on Airbnb. Her cozy home was spottless, cleaner than my own home. This right off the bat made for a great experience. The neighborhood was quiet and safe, I felt at home in a strange land. Laurel took great care of me, even though she was away vacationing herself. I enjoyed the treats she left out for me, as well as the massage chair after a long day at the conference. Not only a great host, I felt like gained a great friend. Highly recommended!!
Laurel's the best! The apartment is easy to find, very comfortable, and a big window in the bedroom. Laurel is extremely friendly and helpful--in particular, she shared her thorough knowledge of local trails for running and hiking. Can't say enough good things about my stay with her.
Had a lovely time at Laurel's condo. She made me feel right at home. Would definitely recommend staying with her.
