The Space

At Bed and Bike Trastevere in addition to service BnB each guests have the option of using a bicycle retrò for all the days of their stay, free of charge!
It's the ideal formula for those who want to enjoy the city and get to those places that tourists normally never get to find out.

By bike you have the opportunity to enter the restricted traffic or pedestrian areas which now cover more than 50% of the historical center.
Leaving behind the busy streets you find one that is one of the urban historical and archaeological largest in the world, too large to be explored on foot, often inaccessible to motorized traffic: a Rome full of atmosphere and emotion.

A few days after riding into Rome, and if you want the weekend you can participate in one of our photo-guided bike tours (FotoCiclando).

Bed and Bike Trastevere it's a cozy apartment, quiet and comfortable, where guests can relax their stay in the heart of the city.

Recently renovated and tastefully furnished, is equipped with every comfort: clean linen and towels, coffee, mini bar, satellite decoder, internet wi-fi.

On the fifth floor of a historic building of early 1900, develops its 50 square meters in a large entrance, a cozy bedroom, a large living room with sofa bed, a fully equipped kitchen, a bathroom with shower, all rooms with tall windows that provide light and pleasant views of the courtyards of Trastevere.
It sleeps 4 people in two separate rooms.

Bed and Bike Trastevere is located on Viale Trastevere, 100 meters from the train station, which connects the airport of Fiumicino in Rome with regional trains every 15 minutes. It very well connected by public transport to anywhere in the city, just 3 tram n.8 stops from the heart of Trastevere.

The Trastevere district is situated on the banks of the Tiber and can reach Piazza Navona, the Pantheon, Campo de' Fiori, the Spanish Steps, St. Peter, the Roman Forum and other major monuments on walking distance.

Thanks to its streets covered with cobblestones, its magnificent alleyways local street, overlooked by medieval buildings, Trastevere is one of the most fashionable districts of Rome, a perfect place for hiking unforgettable.

The typical Roman restaurants, pizzerias, pubs, cinemas, street markets, craft shops, make Trastevere a kind of small town, completely self-sufficient with a charm that few districts have.

And then, just opposite the apartment, there is Portaportese, the most famous flea market in Italy and one of the largest in the world, a classic event on Sunday Roman.

Trastevere is also the heart of Rome's nightlife, ideal for a stay in which entertainment and tourism can co-exist perfectly.

  • Excellent stay in Roma thanks to Genna! The flat was clean, quiet and not too far for from the city center (really closed to the train station, which is practical when you come with your luggage from the airport).
We spent 3 days discovering the city with bikes, it's a real advantage to go from one place to another, especially when the weather is good as it was!
The city is really amazing to discover, with various contents, including very good food as well :)
We look forward to come back in Roma!

  • The flat gave a great Italian home feel. It was easy to get to from the airport. We loved the little neighbour pizza joint and small groceries stores. Great price and convenient.

  • Genna was a fantastic host. He picked us up at the airport, gave us all kinds of tips about Rome and made our stay even better. The apartment is exactly as advertised and the location is close enough to the center, but still outside enough for you to get a sense of Rome without the intense croud of tourists. The tram runs in front of the apartment and the train station is just a couple blocks away. We would highly suggest BED and BIKE TRASTEVERE as your choice of place to stay in Rome.

  • We had a fantastic time at Genna's place in Trastavere. The area orientation and restaurant and sightseeing recommendations he gave us were invaluable.

The apartment was very comfortable with the only downside being that the area is a bit dark at night. Now that we're familiar with it though, we'd happily stay there again.

  • Bed and Bike Trastevere is handily located close to the Trastevere train station and we were able to walk there with our wheelie suitcases. The building is set back from the road so the apartment is nice & quiet. We were met by the friendly and helpful Genna. He gave us the low down on the apartment & things local. His recommendations were right on. He really does know where you can find the best pizza in Roma and it is not far away!
The apartment was clean and tidy and well equipped. Our 2 teenagers reluctantly shared the large sofa bed in the lounge but coped ok and got sleep. The double bed in the bedroom is very comfortable. A great base for discovering Rome.

  • We spent a very nice WE in Bed and Bike Trastevere Apartment. The apartment is fully equipped (which is greatly appreciated !) : towels, linens, WI-FI. I must say as well that the bed quality is really great ! The living-room (with a convertible sofa-bed) can be isolated from the apartment creating a full second (website hidden) comfort is very good.
The place is quiet, and very easily and quickly accessible from fumicino Airport (Direct Train from airport to Trastevere station, then 5 minutes walk). Trastevere district is a nice and animated place, the connection to the "old city center" can be done by walk, or if you prefer by Tram / Bus (the stop is right in front of the apartment).
    A place to recommend.

Something as well extremely pleasant, Genna has answered to any of our requests/questions (booking / access / information ... ) always in a really really short time ! Many thanks for that !

  • Staying at Genna's is the perfect combination between staying at a local friend's house and a really nice hotel - great accommodation with all the local know-how/where edge.
The location is great, easy to get to the center of the city, the historic sites and to the Transtevere touristic area.

The apartment itself is clean, well organized and welcoming
Genna gave us all the relevant information, tips and advice upon our arrival - which was very helpful for the rest of our trip.

The walls are a little thin, but it didn't bother us at all and only made the experience more authentic and nice:)

Genna is a great host with a great place - next time we are in Rome it will be our first choice!
