The Space

This is a quiet studio offering a great opportunity to stay in central New York, close to Grand Central station.

SoHo, the East Village, the Lower-East Side and everything downtown is quickly reached. If it's nice out, with the Great Lawn, ice skating rink and a zoo, Central Park is a great explore. World renown arts with the Museum of Modern Art, Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Guggenheim Museum and more are yours one the Upper East Side. There is great food everywhere, whether you're looking for a night (email hidden) on the UES after a fantastic dinner at Per Se in Columbus circle or looking to order some amazing Chinese from across the street to be delivered for a night in.

This clean bachelor apartment is a very livable studio in a private building with a daytime business on the floor below and only one neighbor who you cannot hear. It is tastefully appointed and space enough for two. The apartment can accommodate two people sharing one bed and possibly 3rd on the coach.

High-speed wireless internet and HD Broadcast TV is included, as is remote-controlled heat and air-conditioning. The fully equipped kitchen has all the cookware you'd need to cook though with all the great food around, you won't be cooking much. There is a grocery store a few blocks away though if you're looking for something specific. I have a very comfortable Queen bed with a luxury down duvet and a brown leather sofa perfect for curling up and watching TV.

The distinctive decor is a great alternative to so many spare cold spaces furnished down to a budget. Quality furnishings, upholstery and one of a kind artworks and unique furniture finds make this a cosy and welcoming home from home.

If you're looking for a quiet respite from the non-stop energy of the city, this is the perfect location to rest your feet and relax without having to trek too far away. Feel free to contact me with any questions. I hope your stay in New York is everything you imagined and more.

Check In
  • Randall was a wonderful host, very easy to work with and very responsive. We arrived late unexpectedly and he was very accommodating. Randall was welcoming when we arrived and gave us a quick tour and offered suggestions regarding restaurants and places to see while in New York. The place was cool retreat from the hot and muggy weather in New York and was also quiet and clean. FYI - The bagel shop underneath the apartment is amazing for a quick, hearty and cheap breakfast before a long day of enjoying the city. I would definitely recommend this host and apartment.

  • Randall was kind enough to meet me early in the morning so that I could drop off my bags. His apt is as advertised and is quiet. The Internet connection in his apt works and is fast. I recommend Randall and his apt for anyone looking for a place in Manhattan.

  • Randall was a great host, he was there when I showed up and was available if I needed anything. He left a detailed list of anything you needed to know. The place was exactly what I wanted in a studio apartment. Great murray hill location, quiet and enjoyable. I will stay here again in the future when I visit.

  • Our stay at Randall's was lovely. He communicated with us very well and was flexible with our check in and out time. The studio was a perfect jumping off point for everything we wanted to do in the city. I would definitely stay at this studio again!

  • Randall was a great host - very responsive and also flexible about check-in and check-out times. He also met us at check-in and showed us around and told us about the neighborhood. The neighborhood is very convenient to Grand Central and many subway stations, but it's more of a commercial rather than residential neighborhood so not as many restaurants, etc. as other areas.
