We enjoyed very much staying at the Miro cottage. It' s a well equipped, tidy and comfortable place with a wonderful private garden in a beautiful landscape. Elsbeth was really kind and extremely helpful with planning our further journey.
We highly recommend to stay at Miro cottage.
Miro cottages was the highlight of our trip - the place is amazing, the views are to die for and the layout of the mini farm is simply charming.
We have been very lucky to find this beautiful and cosy Cottage. Elsbeth was nice and very helpful and we are highly recommending this Cottage in Mahana.
We would always come back, when we are staying around Nelson again.

The Miro Cottage was a wonderful place to spend the last two nights of our South Island holiday. Elspeth was a wonderful host with a fantastic sense of style and gracious commitment to our planet. The cottage was beautifully decorated, and the location is a birder's dream. I look forward to returning to her gorgeous piece of property again.
miro cottage is special. the location between nelson and abel tasman was perfect for us. the farm and estuary setting was spectacular. watching the tides and the birds come and go at sunrise and sunset was the perfect way to start and end the day. the cottage itself was charming and very aesthetically pleasing - simple/classic yet very sophisticated, with just the right mix of retro design and up to date fixtures. elspeth is a very gracious host.
We absolutely loved the cottage just outside of Mapua. Highly recommended-we were still talking about it in Queenstown, I think it was our favorite spot to stay of both the north and south islands. Elspeth was lovely and welcoming-even gave us some fresh vege from her garden! If you have the chance, don't miss a stay here!

About the Host, Elspeth
We are a family of 3 living on a small organic waterfront property (2 Ha) on the Waimea Inlet near Mapua. Our place is a mixture of fruit trees, vegetable garden, chickens and a small vineyard. We love to travel, and have spent many years living overseas. We have a constant flow of people from all over the world staying here which we love.... as well as guests in the cottages we have wwoofers here most of the year (willing workers on organic farms) .
