About This Listing
The Tiny B & B
The Tiny B&B is to be found on the ground floor of one of Kendal’s oldest, and most quirky, houses. This three hundred year old house is situated in Dr Manning’s Yard, famous for looking almost exactly the same as it did when it was built in 1700. One end of the yard brings you out onto Kendal’s main street and the other end is the River Kent and a short walk to Kendal Castle.
If you are looking for a cosy little en suite room moments away from all Kendal has to offer - you have come to the right place!
The tiny room has a very comfortable double bed, small chair and table, TV and DVD player, hairdryer, clock, en suite shower room and WC. There is second room where you can sit and eat.
A miniature fridge, kettle, microwave and toaster is provided as well as cutlery and crockery for breakfast.
Breakfast is a do-it-yourself affair. Tea and coffee, bread, butter, jam, yoghurt and a choice of cereal are provided.
If you do not feel like sampling Kendal’s restaurants then there are a number of takeaways within 5 minutes walk. Crockery is provided for your use.
Wireless broadband is also available for the duration of your stay.
The room has its own separate entrance so you can come and go as you please.
Check in is after 6pm unless we make a prior arrangement and check out is 10am. Arrive, get cosy and enjoy yourself!
I am afraid I no longer accept one person for one night. You are welcome to book for two nights or more or, alternatively, you can pay the price for double occupancy for one night. I am really sorry if this is an inconvenience.
We received a very warm welcome. We arrived 45 minutes early and was planning to just locate the B&B and return but Louise kindly allowed us to drop our bags off. The location is perfect for access to Kendal. The only issue is parking is very expensive and it is all weekend.
The listing was accurate, a cosy small private living and sleeping space which was ideal for my needs - I was on my own in Kendal for a course. Very central location in town but quiet and it felt very safe, with the owners living above. All pre-arrival information was excellent, allowing you to arrive in your own time. Owners unobtrusive but there if you needed them. Relaxed stay.
There was everything we could have wanted and more than we expected in terms of quaintness. We were very comfortable. The directions to the B&b and to the car park were very good. The location was excellent as it is only a few steps away from the main road in Kendal and we were going to the Brewery that night. Can't recommend highly enough.
The tiny B and B was absolutely gorgeous. We couldn't have asked for a better place to stay during our time in the Lakes. Louise's jam was so yum, brought some back with me. The cat was wonderful, we spent a fair bit of time with her. The bed was super comfortable and it was a wonderfully cosy little home. Kendal is a lovely little town; we enjoyed the many charity shops, eateries and pubs. We especially enjoyed the brewhouse and the Thai restaurant around the corner. Delicious! Just a short drive from Windermere where we went boating, to the Beatrix Potter museum and walking, and a bit further to Grasmere where we enjoyed the Wordsworth museum and house. There is a car park just around the corner which is £15 for three days, but this ticket also allows parking in other towns in South Lakes which was ideal! Really could not fault our incredible few days away. Thanks Lou!
The tiny B and B was perfect! Just what we wanted and more! Lou was great and she makes incredible jam. Such a great host we didn't want to leave. i would highly reccomend to people to book this quaint little place for a cosy weekend away it's so lovely! thank you again for letting us stay we loved it.
