Excellent accueil. Merci encore
We stayed at this beautiful place just one night, but it was an amazing experience. We were welcomed very friendly and had lots of nice chats with our lovely hosts. We also enjoyed the amazing view over Wales. It was a pleasure to stay at The Highlands. All in all we can highly recommend it. Thank you, Rina & Tim for being such great hosts!
We had an amazing time at The Highlands. We were welcomed into the home and extremely well looked after - Tim kindly helped to arrange taxis to and from the wedding we were attending. Highly recommended! Would love to visit again.
We had a great stay in this real wild retreat. Slight blustery spells didn't tarnish the breath-taking views over the verdant valleys. Nestled away amidst fields of young sheep, this stunning home feels like a peaceful utopia offering fresh air, fine company, and space to breathe.
Our hosts were extremely welcoming with tea and warm Welsh cakes provided on arrival. We felt very comfortable with this beautiful house and stunning setting. Both our hosts were genuinely interested in us as a family and shared stories of their family and background. We felt very much at home and relaxed. The breakfast was generous and very enjoyable, including home baked bread and we ate with our hosts. We could have stayed longer but sadly didn't have the time. If we do return to the area we would definitely seek them out - highly recommended
WOW...where do I start? If you are considering a trip to Wales this is the place to go! The hospitality and experience Tim and Rina provide is 5 stars! Breakfast each morning was a wonderful treat and our visit felt more like visiting family then being in a B&B. This is the Gold standard of AirBNB and we are already making plans for our next visit later on this year. And did I mention the view? It is truly a slice of heaven and I can't wait to get back!
We were looking for somewhere as a family to celebrate a special day, seven of us in total, three couples and a two year old. We found this beautiful Welsh country house on AIRBNB. Right from the start Tim was swift to reply and about as helpful as it is possible to be, with all our particular wishes.
On arrival we were warmly greeted by Tim and Rina and given tea and cake while being shown to our rooms. All of us were made to feel completely at home immediately. Once we had settled down and unloaded the cars Tim helped us to start the BBQ and begin our evening. To top it all the next morning we had a luxury feast for breakfast, with delicious homemade bread and jam and fresh strawberries!
The house is a wondeful combination of traditional Welsh farmhouse and beautifully built extension overlooking what can only be described as a stunning vista of the Welsh countryside in all it's glory. The interior is full of beautiful woodwork, much of which has been hand made by Tim. Everywhere you look there are interesting things that represent the lives of the owners. Yes, Tim and Rina are very interesting people, they have had amazing lives, it's an absolute pleasure to meet people who are such good company and interesting conversation.
We felt more like family members than guests due to Tim and Rina's amazing hospitality. We like to think that we left a little bit of Latvian culture with them that night and we certainly felt that we took a small piece of Welsh hospitality that we will never forget.
We hope to see you both sometime soon, who knows, maybe next midsummer.
