First of all please be aware that this ad is for Bed & Breakfast - Private room rent and only up to 3 rooms are for renting not the whole house. If you are more than 2 people you will need to book separately. I have another listing for the same house under the same name.
The villa is 50 mins drive to Milas Airport and 30 mins drive to the Bodrum centre. Although surrounded by other villas it is located in a quiet part of the peninsula called Kadikalesi, between Turgutreis and Gumusluk. If you like wonderful sunsets, citrus gardens, panoramic sea views, starry skies and a tranquil / picturesque setting, then this is the right place for you. It is a lovely, relaxing, spacious, modern villa.
When you enter to this 3 storey villa from the road (middle) level, you will face the living/dining room with the wide patio doors to the large terrace overlooking the Greek and Turkish Islands. The villa has 4 double bedrooms, however I rent only 3 double bedrooms while keeping one for myself. Please be aware that I do private room renting not the whole house. The common areas i.e. living room, garden, pool are available for your use. Please see the house rules for more details. The cost shown on the list is for each room. Please ask me for the number of the bedrooms you want and check with me for availability if you want to rent more than one room at the same time.
The garden has a kidney shaped private pool (approx 4 x 8m) with steps in the shallow end, slopes from 1.30m to 1.65m depth. There is a hammock between the stone clad columns and furniture (sofa and sun loungers) to accommodate you in the garden when you like to swim or just rest your eyes on the shimmering sea.
There is a traditional turkish breakfast to be served: Black tea or coffee along with white cheese (analogous to feta), green or black olives, tomatoes, cucumbers, honey, jam, butter, boiled egg or omlet and bread.
I would recommend that you hire a car in order to experience all that the area has to offer. However, if you simply want to relax around the villa and pool, with occasional trips around the peninsula then the minibuses (or perhaps a taxi from time to time) will be all that you need. The local regular minibus service (dolmus) stops 5-7 minutes walk away from the villa. This gives easy access to Turgutreis (10 mins), Gumusluk (10 mins), Yalikavak (30 mins), Bodrum centre (40 mins) and the rest of the peninsula.
The villa is not suitable for wheelchair users. For elderly people a car hire is recommended. As the villa is situated on a hill, it is not suitable for people with breathing or mobility (website hidden). I hope you like cats as I have two, the boy called Grish and the girl called Missy.
Other Things to Note
Air-cons are available in all bedrooms but extremely expensive to use - so I am afraid that I will have to hold a deposit for excessive use. Most windows and patio doors have mosquito nets fitted so can be left open for lovely natural cooling airflow. Air-cons should only be used when you are in the house with all windows and doors closed otherwise it is not effective and the air conditioning capacity is designed only for the bedrooms. Please turn off the air conditions when you leave the house or leave bedrooms to be around the pool area.
Smoking is allowed in the garden, balconies and terraces only.
The kitchen is not entirely for tenant's use (i.e cooking), but you can store your drinks and make teas/coffees. If you need an occasional dinner for a celebration (birthday, anniversary etc.) I sometimes can be flexible. Otherwise I expect you to have your lunch and dinners out.
There are bath towels for your use in the villa. Please do not use them on the beach and bring your own beach towel.
Great house, fantastic view, spectacular hostess, lovely breakfast.
Once again we would like to thank Gülsüm for hosting us, preparing breakfast and showing us around. She was kind enough to leave the next room empty in order to provide us a quiet stay.
For whom aren’t familiar with the area; her house is in a very nice village, close to Turgutreis and Yalıkavak(2 big town of the peninsula) and not far away from Bodrum.
Gulsum was a great, friendly hostess! Her home is just as beautiful, if not more so, as the photos. The balcony was a great place to hang out and watch the sunset, truly the landscape is incredible! I would definitely recommend renting a car so you can explore the surrounding beaches and towns. Gulsum made a great breakfast for us every day and gave us great recommendations of areas to explore. If I came back to the this area, I would definitely stay with Gulsum again.

In 2010, after living in London for 10 years, I moved back to my country of origin and my house in Bodrum, Turkey . I enjoy the lovely climate and the rural pace of life and would find it hard to go back to city living. I get fresh cows milk from the villagers, make my own yoghurt, get my fresh fruit and vegetables from the village markets, and my eggs come from happy chickens. It is great!
If I want to have a relaxing day on a quiet beach, I go to the local Kadikalesi beach or I go to Gumusluk, which is only 3 km away from my house and known for it’s bohemian life style. If I want to have a taste of the city life, I am only 20 mins drive to party town Bodrum center or even an hours flight to Istanbul where I lived for the most part of my life. I have 2 companions in my house who I adore: Grish and Missy. They are my cats :)
I am also a qualified Architect and I am interested in designing innovative, modern houses for the Bodrum area.
