Our quirky little dog friendly Peak District Cottage in Eyam has a style all of its own...Along with our shepherdshut we have been welcoming guests to our historic village for 10+ years. We believe in taking time out from busy lives & offering you a little bit of peace & quiet, somewhere to disconnect from your world & reconnect with each other. Memorial cottage sleeps 3, cosy, calm, comfy & oozes character, original beams, real fire, deep window seats to help you relax, unwind, escape, explore

The space
The little cottage is exactly what it says on the tin ;-) There is a cosy living room to the front of the property with comfy chairs, window seat, reading nook with “honesty bar” & large original stone fireplace.

The beautiful fully fitted kitchen with wooden units & granite worktops has a country table & chairs & everything you would need for your stay to self cater.

Through the stable door takes you to the courtyard where you’ll find table & chairs perfect for alfresco dining. Up some steps is the patio area & bbq with more table & chairs.

Stairs from the lounge take you up to the master bedroom (sleeps 2) at the front of the cottage which is deceptively spacious, with open banister rail. Antique furniture, another original (non working) fireplace & a large window seat perfect for reading.

The single bedroom (sleeps 1) is accessed from the main bedroom & is located at the back of the property overlooking the patio area. A single bed, & storage, this is a very cute space for children or extra storage if needed.

The modern shower room is accessed through the main bedroom too. High quality fittings with a traditional look.

Guest access
The little cottage & private courtyard are for your sole use while you stay.

Other things to note
If your stay is for a special occasion or celebration, we can provide a basket of goodies at an additional charge, just let us know ahead of your stay…..

There are lots of great places to eat out, see our guidebook for more info. We recommend booking tables to avoid disappointment.

Eyam is famous for the plague story & full of history. There is an award winning museum & the church just opposite the little cottage.

If being outdoors & walking is your thing, we have OS maps & walking books in the cottage. Or just ask, there are great walks with amazing views on our doorstep (& lots of pub stop offs too!)

Passionate about the place I live & sharing it with others. Can't live without my family, friends & paws. Favorite pastimes - walking, exploring & socializing. Enjoy good food, earl grey tea & fizz! A perfect weekend would look like - breakfast in bed, walks with my faves, relaxing with wool or watching a film (or rugby) & whiling away an evening around the firepit star gazing & toasting marshmallows with the hubby.
