About This Listing
In the morning, enjoy hot coffee while watching for whales to swim by. Stroll to the beach in the evening, local restaurants for fish tacos or farmer's market....
Enjoy this popular and charming house with an awesome ocean views in Morro Bay! This room has a queen bed with fluffy comforters, new TV and views of mountains and ocean. The house has three bedrooms and two beautiful luxury spa shared bathrooms, with rain showers and an indoor jacuzzi tub.
This guest room is one of three in a shared house. Meet other guests here from around the world! The two guest rooms downstairs share one bathroom. The bedroom upstairs has another shared bathroom. All guests may use both shared bathrooms. This listing is only for the bedroom in the picture.
There is one queen bed in this room, and the right size for 2 guests. This is my personal home, typical of Airbnb home lodgings - ala Airbnb spirit!
Outstanding views from the living room and dining room, and small outdoor redwood decks.
About a 15 minute walk down the hill and through the neighborhoods.
If I am out of town, you are still free to stay at the house and mingle with other Airbnb guests. There are three guest bedrooms. If you are the only guest using one bedroom, then you may enjoy having the house all to yourself!
Enjoy the outside hot shower after a day at the beach - or if you just enjoy showering outside!
Help yourself to bagels and English muffins with cream cheese, butter and jam. Tea and coffee.
I also usually have several snacks including cereals, granola bars, peanut butter, etc.
Occasionally I will bake fresh scones in the mornings. Yum!
WASHING MACHINE: Due to a water shortage in Morro Bay, guests may no longer use the washing machine.
Interaction with Guests
We are usually home but occasionally away and not available to serve coffee in the morning. But my neighbors usually put bagels and fresh fruit in the frig when we are away. Ask first if I will be home if this is important to you! If we are home, we will occupy the upstairs bedroom and you will have complete privacy downstairs. We will go with the flow if you want privacy, or want to hang out with us in the living room and dining room! There are good times to be had hanging out in the
dining room : )
While children are allowed, they are counted as guests - all ages. So if a mom & dad bring a 15 month old, for example, that would be 3 guests.
I absolutely love this precious neighborhood! This house is perched in the hills of Morro Bay, with fantastic ocean and mountain views. As you drive up the hill you see homes with quaint boats such as the "Scampi" and "Castaway," and seaside decor of dolphins, whales, pelicans and starfish.
Up from my street, the drive gets very steep, and the houses very nice, and it makes for a great morning walk or run. Remarkable views every step!
Walk to the beach and some local restaurants from here, including the super popular "Taco Temple" for the most amazing fish tacos ever! Or, go to the Embarcadero for other restaurants. Lots of public transportation on Main St, just a few blocks down the hill.
Other Things to Note
MORRO BAY: You will absolutely love Morro Bay! It is so inspiring to look at Morro Rock - the impressive rock formation coming out of the sea and touching the sand. The endless blue ocean and expansive beach with surfers and an occasional horse are so impressive.
THE WHARF: The town of Morro Bay has a surprising wharf bustling with shops and outstanding and romantic restaurants - no chains, all original. The vibe of Morro Bay is fantastic.
SITES: Nearby is Hearst Castle, Cambria, Cayucos, Harmony, Pismo Beach, Avila Beach and San Luis Obispo. The entire area has over 300 wineries and rolling hills of grape vineyards and views - just astounding.
While children are allowed, they are counted as guests - all ages. So if a mom & dad are bringing a 15 month old, that would be 3 guests.
The ENTIRE HOUSE is also available for nightly/weekly rental at https://www.airbnb.com/rooms/948201

Breakfast is self-serve. Milk and butter are in the frig.
Feel free to use the range to boil water for tea.
Please wash any dishes you may use, and wipe the counters with a paper towel.
Please toss any coffee filters you may use.

Wow--this sets the new standard for what a host should be. Linda was amazing. Gracious. Clean. Kind. Classy, down to earth....uber Californian.
Spatially, the accommodations were delightful and private. Entry was simple. The broader home (host's space) is nicely appointed with Art Nouveau pieces.
Directions and access to the property were very simple. You must have a car.
Great access to Morro Beach just 2 mins by car.
We booked Linda's spot the day before our stay and it was very accommodating. It was a nice neighborhood. The upstairs room and bed were very comfy. The view was breathtaking. I loved the rain shower. Perfect for some R&R near the beach. Easy check in, check out. All rules/notes were very informative. Thanks, Linda for hosting us.
Beautiful room. All the pictures were very accurate and everything was as stated. Linda was very helpful making suggestions relating to our bicycles. Bed was lovely, although I like mine a bit firmer. Speaking as a tall person who sometimes has to duck under showerheads in hotels, the rain shower was terrific. Everything spic and span. There were other guests staying in house at same time and Linda was not present, but no difficulties at all presented themselves.
A Beautiful house with a great view out to the Pacific. The room was large, clean and well equiped
We did not get to meet Linda, but the other guests were very pleasant and chatty without being intrusive.
On arrival, we were surprised to learn that we were sharing the bathroom -- the Airbnb listing didn't clue us in. The guests in the other downstairs bedroom were also surprised. While the upstairs guests had their own bathroom, we in the downstairs found a single bathroom for five people to be quite inconvenient. If the listing had mentioned sharing, we would not have signed up.
Also, there was no means for locking our bedroom door when we were out, which meant that we had to trust the other two sets of guests, site unseen.
Below is the second paragraph in my listing at the time you booked.
"This guest room is one of three in a shared house. Meet other guests here from around the world! The two guest rooms downstairs share one bathroom. The bedroom upstairs has another shared bathroom. All guests may use both shared bathrooms. This listing is only for the bedroom in the picture."
I really want all my guests to be happy and accuracy, comfort and great communication are so important to me. : )
Linda thank you so much for opening your home to us. We were sorry that we never met you but wanted to relay that it was super easy finding your home and easy to enter. The red guest book was very helpful! We loved that you had a mini breakfast bar available to your guests as a lot if other places don't offer that. The room and bathroom was spacious and the bed was very comfortable. The views were nice as well and we loved the sitting area you had to relax and enjoy the ocean views. As I fell asleep I could actually hear the waves...our only regret was that we didn't stay another night!

About the Host, Linda
HI - my name is Linda and my two favorite places in the world are the California Central Coast and South Lake Tahoe! I have a beach home on the coast and a ski place in Tahoe that I offer on Airbnb. I am a SF/Bay Area transplant to the Central Coast, most recently from Emerald Hills, near Redwood City. I have a 21 yr old daughter, heading for UC Santa Cruz. I'm a U.C. Berkeley grad who still has a lot of Berkeley in her. I love healthy eating and exercise. In Morro Bay I am completely mellowed out by the ocean view and beauty of the central coast from my livingroom window. : ) In Tahoe, the view is giant pine trees and snow covered mountains. Both are such stunning areas. On the coast, there is hiking the stunning Montana de Oro bluffs, the waterfall at reservoir canyon, Mt. Madonna, Bishops Peak, the Harmony Headland trail to the ocean, and so many other coastal hikes... In Tahoe, there are countless trails and smaller lakes such as Fallen Leaf Lake, and Burnside Lake. I do still love Zumba, Pilates and yoga, too. Love to have guests stay, and I stay out of your way, but am also here to chat with about the area if you want.
