The Space

Enjoy this popular and charming house with an awesome ocean views in Morro Bay! This room has a queen bed with fluffy comforters, new TV and views of mountains and ocean. The house has three bedrooms and two beautiful luxury spa shared bathrooms, with rain showers and an indoor jacuzzi tub.

Outstanding views from the living room and dining room, and outdoor redwood decks.

Guest Access

Enjoy the outside hot shower after a day at the beach - or if you just enjoy showering outside!

Help yourself to bagels and English muffins with cream cheese, butter and jam. Tea and coffee.

I also usually have several snacks including cereals, granola bars, peanut butter, etc.

Occasionally I will bake fresh scones in the mornings. Yum!

WASHING MACHINE: Due to a water shortage in Morro Bay, guests may no longer use the washing machine.

Interaction with Guests

We are usually home but occasionally away. If we are home, we will occupy the upstairs and you will have complete privacy downstairs. We will go with the flow if you want privacy, or want to hang out with us in the living room and dining room! There are good times to be had hanging out in the
dining room : )

While children are allowed, they are counted as guests - all ages. So if a mom & dad bring a 15 month old, for example, that would be 3 guests.

The Neighborhood

I absolutely love this precious neighborhood! This house is perched in the hills of Morro Bay, with fantastic ocean and mountain views. As you drive up the hill you see homes with quaint boats such as the "Scampi" and "Castaway," and seaside decor of dolphins, whales, pelicans and starfish.

Up from my street, the drive gets very steep, and the houses very nice, and it makes for a great morning walk or run. Remarkable views every step!

Getting around

Walk to the beach and some local restaurants from here, including the super popular "Taco Temple" for the most amazing fish tacos ever! Or, go to the Embarcadero for other restaurants. Lots of public transportation on Main St, just a few blocks down the hill.

Other Things to Note

MORRO BAY: You will absolutely love Morro Bay! It is so inspiring to look at Morro Rock - the impressive rock formation coming out of the sea and touching the sand. The endless blue ocean and expansive beach with surfers and an occasional horse are so impressive.

THE WHARF: The town of Morro Bay has a surprising wharf bustling with shops and outstanding and romantic restaurants - no chains, all original. The vibe of Morro Bay is fantastic.

SITES: Nearby is Hearst Castle, Cambria, Cayucos, Harmony, Pismo Beach, Avila Beach and San Luis Obispo. The entire area has over 300 wineries and rolling hills of grape vineyards and views - just astounding.

While children are allowed, they are counted as guests - all ages. So if a mom & dad are bringing a 15 month old, that would be 3 guests.

  • Thanks for the stay. Good opportunity to experience Morro Bay and watch the Californian surfers at work

  • Linda gave us the upstairs room with private bathroom because a family of four was staying downstairs, which we really appreciated.

We never met Linda, but we loved her house and its decor. We pretty much had the house to ourselves. There are various outdoor seating areas, which is what attracted us to her house in the first place, and we had magnificent ocean views.

We also appreciated her restaurant recommendations and agree that the Taco Temple is not to be missed.

We like Morro Bay because it feels authentic and not at all touristy.

  • My wife and I stayed with Linda for one night during our babymoon. We had a fantastic time, Linda is such a friendly and hospitable host. Her house is beautiful, my wife especially loved the bed and the bathroom.
Linda had snacks and wine waiting for us and baked delicious croissants for our breakfast.
We wish we could have stayed longer! Thanks again Linda and if you're in San Diego, please let us know.

  • My families and I stayed at Linda's house for one night, and our only regret is not have stayed here for another day! We all loved our stay at Linda's - the house is so tidy, clean, and beautifully decorated. Linda really made us feel like home - even for my parents who don't speak a single word of English. The place is tranquil, with beautiful view in the morning.
Linda is the best host ever, she prepared us snacks and appetizers upon our arrival; she baked heavenly delicious croissants for our breakfast. She is super easygoing and sweet!
I highly recommend this place to anyone who is traveling on Hwy 1, going to Heart Castle, or to just chill at the beach!

  • After traveling two weeks in Central California, I wrapped up my trip at Linda's place in Morro Bay. Linda's house was very lovely and her hospitality was quite unexpected. She took the time to give me the grand tour of Morro Bay's highlights, going above and beyond what you would expect from a host. It was most welcoming. She is a great conversationalist as well. My most satisfying night of sleep was in Linda's guest room. I wanted to steal her pillows. I only regret that I did not stay an extra night or two at her place. I highly recommend her place. A fantastic experience!!!

  • My girlfriend and I decided to stay with Linda for a getaway to the beach. Overall, we had a great experience with Linda. She was a great source of knowledge and an excellent host, plus her place is gorgeous. If room size/comforts is not a priority, this is the room for you! Otherwise, we'd recommend one of the other units in this place with Linda.

    About Linda:
She had a ton of knowledge of the surrounding area and gave us an entire days worth of suggestions which we checked out (had an amazing day as a result). She was very friendly and talkative which made us feel very welcome. Linda was great at recognizing when we wanted to be alone versus hang out.

    About the room:
Linda has a few rooms to try, this room in particular was a little small compared to the others (and the price matches that as well which some may find as a positive). If you don't plan on spending any time in the room and don't need luxurious quarters, then this is the room for you! Otherwise, there are other units in the same place that would be a better fit for you.
Tip: The other room is right next door and we definitely heard people getting up and moving about at night and in the morning. It's mild but still enough to briefly wake us up.

    About the place:
There's a very cute vegetable garden out front and she had a deck with tables/chairs that can see the ocean (you can see this view from her images posted). At breakfast, she had chocolate croissants, bagels, orange juice, coffee, fruits. At sunset, she asked if we wanted appetizers/wine but we were out at dinner and didn't make it back until much later in the evening. I saw some crackers/cheese out when I got back which I assume were the appetizers. The place looks as the pictures show it; very well done on the inside.

  • Linda was amazing :] She greeted us with warm tea and patiently explained to us what was around the area (she even drew a map!). The room was very nice, and her house had a great view of the bay. In the morning, my friend enjoyed a run to the beach, and I drove to the village and had breakfast by the water front. We thoroughly enjoyed the experience, and we can't wait to go back and visit again some day. I would recommend her place to anyone!

HI - my name is Linda and my two favorite places in the world are Morro Bay and South Lake Tahoe! I have a beach house in Morro Bay and a ski place in Tahoe that I offer on Airbnb. I am a SF/Bay Area transplant to the Central Coast, most recently from Emerald Hills, near Redwood City. I have a 19 yr old daughter in college. I'm a U.C. Berkeley grad who still has a lot of Berkeley in her. I love healthy eating and exercise. In Morro Bay I am completely mellowed out by the ocean view and beauty of the central coast from my livingroom window. : ) In Tahoe, the view is giant pine trees and snow covered mountains. Both are such stunning areas. In Morro Bay for hiking there is the stunning Montana de Oro bluffs, the waterfall at reservoir canyon, Mt. Madonna, Bishops Peak, the Harmony Headland trail to the ocean, and so many other coastal hikes.. In Tahoe, there are countless trails and smaller lakes such as Fallen Leaf Lake, and Burnside Lake. I do still love Zumba, Pilates and yoga, too. Love to have guests stay, and I stay out of your way, but am also here to chat with about the area if you want. Thanks! Linda
