In the morning, enjoy hot coffee while watching for whales to swim by. Walk to the beach, local restaurants for fish tacos or farmer's market....
Enjoy this popular and charming house with an awesome ocean views in Morro Bay! This room has a queen bed with fluffy comforters, new TV and views of mountains and ocean. The house has three bedrooms and two beautiful luxury spa shared bathrooms, with rain showers and an indoor jacuzzi tub.
This guest room is one of three in a shared house. The two guest rooms downstairs share one bathroom. The bedroom upstairs has a shared bathroom. Meet other guests here from around the world! This listing is only for the bedroom in the picture. There is one queen bed, and the right size for 2 guests. This is my personal home, typical of Airbnb home - it is a real home - ala Airbnb spirit!
Outside there is a small deck with a table for six to enjoy time with friends.
VIEWS: Outstanding views from the livingroom and diningroom, and outdoor redwood decks.
OUTDOOR SHOWER: Enjoy the outside hot shower after a day at the beach to rinse off the sand - or if you just enjoy showering outside!
If I am in town, I usually supply self-serve bagels or English muffins with cream cheese, butter and jam. Self-serve tea and coffee. If I am not in town, then there is no breakfast.
I also usually have several snacks including cereals, granola bars, peanut butter, etc.
Occasionally I will bake fresh scones in the mornings. Yum!
WASHING MACHINE: Due to a water shortage in Morro Bay, guests may no longer use the washing machine.
While children are allowed, they are counted as guests - all ages. So if a mom & dad bring a 15 month old, that would be 3 guests.
Interaction with Guests
We are usually home but occasionally away. If we are home, we will occupy the upstairs and you will have complete privacy downstairs. We will go with the flow if you want privacy, or want to hang out with us in the living room and dining room! Many, many good times have been had with guests who want to hang out! : ).
While children are allowed, they are counted as guests - all ages. So if a mom & dad bring a 15 month old, for example, that would be 3 guests.
This house is perched in the hills of Morro Bay, with fantastic ocean and mountain views. As you drive up the hill you see homes with quaint boats such as the "Scampi" and "Castaway," and seaside decor of dolphins, whales, pelicans and starfish.
Up from my street, the drive gets very steep, and the houses very nice, and it makes for a great morning walk or run. Remarkable views every step!
Walk to the beach from here, and to some local restaurants including the super popular "Taco Temple" for the most amazing fish tacos ever! Or, go to the Embarcadero for other restaurants. Lots of public transportation on Main St, just a few blocks down the hill.
Other Things to Note
MORRO BAY: You will absolutely love Morro Bay! It is so inspiring to look at Morro Rock - the impressive rock formation coming out of the sea and meeting the sand. The endless blue ocean and expansive beach with surfers and an occasional horse are so impressive.
THE WHARF: The town of Morro Bay has a surprising wharf bustling with shops and outstanding and romantic restaurants - no chains, all original. The vibe of Morro Bay is fantastic.
SITES: Nearby is Hearst Castle, Cambria, Cayucos, Harmony, Pismo Beach, Avila Beach and San Luis Obispo. The entire area has over 300 wineries and rolling hills of grape vineyards and views - just astounding.
No smoking inside the house or in the yard.
Guests are free to use the range to boil water for tea, but not permitted to cook meals. If you put personal items in frig, please only use the top right shelf.
Please wash any dishes you may use, and wipe the counters with a paper towel.
Please toss any coffee filters you may use.
Please remember to return the key - thanks!
Welcome! : )
The place was lovely--clean and comfortable, with clear instructions on how to find the address.
I was there very little but felt right at home when I was. The other guests were a delight to meet.
When I had questions, Linda responded to my e-mails promptly!
Thank you, Linda, for offering such a sweet space for Morro Bay visitors!
The room and space was exactly as described and shown in the pictures. It was really lovely! But there was no hot coffee, and I was a little sad about that.
The place is great. It's next to the water and the view is amazing. It is a quite neighborhood so it feels much more relaxing. The place is clean and Linda is an Awesome host I would def there stay more often.
We didn't get to meet the host because she was away, but she allowed us to use the kitchen which we greatly appreciated!
This was our first time as an Airbnb user. After confirming the reservation with Linda, she explained everything & made it a simple, wonderful experience. Upon arrival, we met Linda and sat and chatted with her for a bit. She is so sweet & sincere...and funny! She really cared about every aspect of our needs. She helped us to get familiarized with the area & gave us recommendations...which were "spot on"! Her house is wonderful! Every aspect of it was so clean and fresh, but at the same time, it was very warm and comfortable. Just a side note: she had fresh fruit at all times, some cookies & fun stuff as well...kind of like home away from home. Her bathroom was fully stocked! The soap, shampoo, lotion, was all the "good stuff" you find at Trader Joe's. Those are just a few of the little bonuses. :):) In the morning, she made us delicious fresh & warm croissants; almond & chocolate...we had both...yum yum! We enjoyed the conversation with Linda. She was genuinely interested in us and what was important to us. It was tough to pull ourselves away to say goodbye...but we will definitely be back! We would recommend her home to...everyone! My husband and I had such a fun and relaxing time...just what you want for your vacation. I have ALL positives to say about Linda and our stay at her home. We feel it was truly a blessing that our first experience using Airbnb was at her home! Thank you Linda for your superb hospitality! We look forward to seeing you again when we are in your area. :):)

HI - my name is Linda and my two favorite places in the world are Morro Bay and South Lake Tahoe! I have a beach house in Morro Bay and a ski place in Tahoe that I offer on Airbnb. I am a SF/Bay Area transplant to the Central Coast, most recently from Emerald Hills, near Redwood City. I have a 19 yr old daughter in college. I'm a U.C. Berkeley grad who still has a lot of Berkeley in her. I love healthy eating and exercise. In Morro Bay I am completely mellowed out by the ocean view and beauty of the central coast from my livingroom window. : ) In Tahoe, the view is giant pine trees and snow covered mountains. Both are such stunning areas. In Morro Bay for hiking there is the stunning Montana de Oro bluffs, the waterfall at reservoir canyon, Mt. Madonna, Bishops Peak, the Harmony Headland trail to the ocean, and so many other coastal hikes.. In Tahoe, there are countless trails and smaller lakes such as Fallen Leaf Lake, and Burnside Lake. I do still love Zumba, Pilates and yoga, too. Love to have guests stay, and I stay out of your way, but am also here to chat with about the area if you want.
