Misty Mornings - Hot Croissants

House - Private room · Juniper Ave, Morro Bay, CA 93442, United States

On the deck at sunset, I serve you appetizers and a local wine. In the morning, enjoy fresh-baked chocolate croissants and hot coffee while watching for whales to swim by. Walk to the beach, local restaurants for fish tacos or farmer's market....

The Space

*TWO NIGHT MINIMUM DURING SUMMER MONTHS*
Enjoy this popular and charming house with an awesome ocean views in Morro Bay! This room has a queen bed with fluffy comforters, new TV and views of mountains and ocean. The house has three bedrooms and two beautiful luxury spa shared bathrooms, with rain showers and an indoor jacuzzi tub.

VIEWS: Outstanding views from the livingroom and diningroom, and outdoor redwood decks.

Guest Access

OUTDOOR SHOWER: Enjoy the outside hot shower after a day at the beach - or if you just enjoy showering outside!

BREAKFAST:
You will be served hot fresh-baked almond & chocolate croissants and hot brewed coffee in the morning to enjoy on the deck.

Also, I usually have English muffins, bagels, breads, cereals, marmalades, jams, butter, cream cheese, peanut butter, and teas. Occasionally I will bake fresh scones in the mornings. Yum!

Interaction with Guests

We are usually home but occasionally away. If we are home, we will occupy the upstairs and you will have complete privacy downstairs. We will go with the flow if you want privacy, or want to hang out with us in the living room and dining room! Many, many good times have been had with guests who want to hang out! : ).

The Neighborhood

This house is perched in the hills of Morro Bay, with fantastic ocean and mountain views. As you drive up the hill you see homes with quaint boats such as the "Scampi" and "Castaway," and seaside decor of dolphins, whales, pelicans and starfish.

Up from my street, the drive gets very steep, and the houses very nice, and it makes for a great morning walk or run. Remarkable views every step!

Getting around

Walk to the beach from here, and to some local restaurants including the super popular "Taco Temple" for the most amazing fish tacos ever! Or, go to the Embarcadero for other restaurants. Lots of public transportation on Main St, just a few blocks down the hill.

Other Things to Note

MORRO BAY: You will absolutely love Morro Bay! It is so inspiring to look at Morro Rock - the impressive rock formation coming out of the sea and meeting the sand. The endless blue ocean and expansive beach with surfers and an occasional horse are so impressive.

THE WHARF: The town of Morro Bay has a surprising wharf bustling with shops and outstanding and romantic restaurants - no chains, all original. The vibe of Morro Bay is fantastic.

SITES: Nearby is Hearst Castle, Cambria, Cayucos, Harmony, Pismo Beach, Avila Beach and San Luis Obispo. The entire area has over 300 wineries and rolling hills of grape vineyards and views - just astounding.

  • Enjoyed our stay with friends! Would recommend this place again!

    March 2014
  • Linda's great! She answered our request and subsequent questions extremely prompting, taking away any anxiety I had about renting my first ever AirBnB. Her home is lovely - beautifully decorated and extremely comfortable; much better than my own apartment in many ways, I must admit. Great place to stay while visiting the beautiful Morro Bay. Remember to go kayaking!

  • Linda's place is beautiful! It is welcoming and so cozy that you feel at home almost immediately upon arrival. It is very clean and very organized. Linda herself is as gracious, kind, and hospitable a host as you will find! I, without a doubt, recommend this place to anyone looking for a great time!

You guys are AWESOME! You are always welcome back if you want to experience more of the area - and I'd love to hear about the places you went to while you were here, too! Thanks for the nice review.

    Warmly, Linda

  • Linda is vibrant fun-loving woman with a beautiful inviting home. I contacted Linda last minute and she was responsive and welcoming. My two night stay was perfect and Linda's hospitality was what made my experience even more special. We shared great conversations, she drove me to a wonderful hiking spot and invited me to a pot-luck. An overall fun weekend. I would enthusiastically recommend a stay with Linda in her home.

  • Linda delivered on everything that she promised and is really nice. The room and house were clean and ready when I arrived. She is organized, communicated quickly and the location is great. I would definitely use her house again.

    April 2013
  • Beautiful home, extremely comfortable bed, great linens and Linda leaves lots of recommendations about places to eat and things to do in the area. Took her suggestion and ate at the Galley down at the Embarcadero...loved it. There were other guests in the home and we also enjoyed meeting them and visiting over tea.

  • Linda is a great host. She communicated promptly and very well regarding the accommodation and answered all of my questions (I had a lot because this was my first time booking with airbnb). Bathrooms are all newly remodeled and I absolutely love the rain shower head. I could stay in the shower forever! Reason for the 4 star is because the room is a little small and older than I had hoped for. There's also no TV inside the room. I would also like to have locks on the room door since there are other guests staying concurrently.

About
HI - my name is Linda and my two favorite places in the world are Morro Bay and South Lake Tahoe! I have a beach house in Morro Bay and a ski place in Tahoe that I offer on Airbnb. I am a SF/Bay Area transplant to the Central Coast, most recently from Emerald Hills, near Redwood City. I have a 19 yr old daughter in college. I'm a U.C. Berkeley grad who still has a lot of Berkeley in her. I love healthy eating and exercise. In Morro Bay I am completely mellowed out by the ocean view and beauty of the central coast from my livingroom window. : ) In Tahoe, the view is giant pine trees and snow covered mountains. Both are such stunning areas. In Morro Bay for hiking there is the stunning Montana de Oro bluffs, the waterfall at reservoir canyon, Mt. Madonna, Bishops Peak, the Harmony Headland trail to the ocean, and so many other coastal hikes.. In Tahoe, there are countless trails and smaller lakes such as Fallen Leaf Lake, and Burnside Lake. I do still love Zumba, Pilates and yoga, too. Love to have guests stay, and I stay out of your way, but am also here to chat with about the area if you want. Thanks! Linda
