Beautiful, restored house in Northern Spain. The house was very comfortable and warm. The area is beautiful, especially Laxe and Soesto beach, which may be the most beautiful beach I have ever seen. Javier, the host was very attentive and proactive. I cannot recommend the house and location enough for a romantic get-away or a family vacation, as was the case on my trip. My daughters, 5 and 3 loved it.

We had a fantastic week in a really beautiful house in a very interesting area of spain. The welcome was extremely friendly and uncomplicated, and the house even more beautiful than on the pictures. Especially the kiwi-tree providing shade on the terrace was very nice on hot days. The house is an old traditional stone house that is furbished very tastefully, and equipped with absolutely everything you need. The garden is very well looked after with fresh spices and a lot of fruit trees. The village, Ponteceso, has everything you need (supermarket, gas station, etc), and incredibly beautiful beaches are a few minutes drive away, inclusing some fantastic surfing spots. However, a car is necessary to enjoy the area. Javier and his family were super helpful with tips and preparing our arrival, and also organising an early morning check out! Thank you very much for all your help, we really enjoyed our time. Hopeto come back soon and my full recommendations for the house, the area and Javier & his family!

Esther meet us at the house, she very generously told us to help ourselves to any of the supplies in the kitchen, she also told us about local beaches and restaurants. The house , has been restored with love and sympathy . It is extremely well equipped, is very comfortable and a pleasure to stay in . However the spare bedroom is very small for adults. The garden has a very attractive outlook at the back and the village is very quiet but very close to shops for food shopping. The nearby beaches are stunning. The weather was unkind for most of our stay but we did enjoy an afternoon at Traba beach ,but unfortunately were unable to ever sit in the garden.

We loved the house. It has been beautifully restored and is well equipped. The garden is also lovely. We really appreciate the tea, coffee etc. especially as we arrived on a Sunday when the shops were shut. The area is very interesting and worth a much longer visit than our 3 days. Hope to return next year.

Outstanding, received by Javiers cousin, mother and father all of whom welcomed us enthusiastically. Beautifully restored old house, quality workmanship. Kind enough to leave a lot of basics in the kitchen which helped a lot. Location great, amazing area to explore.

This was a beautiful house and a lovely place to stay. Javier communicated well before we arrived and provided all the information we needed with alacrity. His cousin met us at the house and was very helpful. The house itself was delightful and finished to an amazing standard of detail and craftsmanship. It was full of character and interest and most comfortable. It is well situated, with good views and in a nice village. A very peaceful and relaxing place to stay - thanks for sharing it!

A little gem of an old historic house: no expense has been spared in its restoration and the owner’s attention to detail and finish is unstinting. The interior design, kitchen ,furniture and equipment are all beautiful. The owner has exquisite taste. In addition to the already beautiful garden, Javier has ambitious landscape plans drawing on his extensive knowledge as a biologist. My husband and I recently retired and are spending a year travelling and renting properties all over the world. This is overall the best experience we've had. We would strongly recommend this historic home and we will definitely return ourselves. We are both interior and landscape designers; which perhaps explains our shared passion for all things beautiful. One final thing: thanks to all the family and staff for the warm welcome, for the spotless interior and the well maintained garden. Javier, congratulations you deserve every success. Oh I forgot to thank you for the wine and veggies: delicious!

I am a Galician man that resides most of the year in America, where I work as I biologist and a carpenter. My great hobby and love in life is restoring and remodeling old houses. I had the chance to do so in several occasions throughout my life but the culmination of my passion was achieved at "Casa do Demo". I like sharing my house with my family and friends and furthermore, with visitors that might be interested. I have been described as being easy going, quiet, a bit shy, hard worker, a jack of all trades and a master of none. I love Galicia and I love Northern California. It be a pleasure sharing with you your home away from home "Casa do Demo"
