Our location in Kerobokan gives easy access to the tourist areas of Seminyak (15 minutes), Canggu (15 minutes), Denpasar (15 minutes), Ubud (45 minutes) and Sanur (30 minutes) by car/motorbike. So an ideal home base to explore in all directions. Local public transport is non existent so we can help you organise taxi's , motorbikes and car hire with or without a driver for all your transport needs.
It is in a Balinese area with many great small local restaurants nearby. Right next door is a great restaurant which makes delicious BBQ chicken or fish, fried rice and fried noodles all Bali style of course
I would like to share my unique home and knowledge of local balinese culture and attractions with open hearted souls looking for an alternative to the usual tourist experience.

I didn't end up staying here but Sally was very nice for the short time I met her. Place looks way better in pictures but I'm sure it's alright to stay in. Location isn't great though, with nothing but traffic and businesses nearby. Canggu is a 15 minute drive away, as are most other go-to spots.
However, I'm sure if a good group of people (along with Sally herself, she was very lovely) were there it'd be a really fun time.
Sally was very friendly and accommodating to all of our requests. She gave us advice on where to go and what to see. She is very knowledgeable about Bali which really came in handy. She also arranged a great driver to drive us around the island for 2 days which was the best way to see Bali. After finding a large spider in our room she very kindly gave us her room. One morning we ate a Mango from her Mango tree which was delicious. The location is alright. You do need a taxi to go to any of the main attractions but nothing was too far. She also has many sweet dogs who I miss already. Considering how low the cost is to stay at Dragon Pyramid it was overall a good experience.
Sally is great host. She can help you to arrange any activity you might be interested in doing.
The place is very cool. If you are a pet lover, then you will love it, if not, her pets won't bother you at all.
I highly recommend Sally's place.
Staying with Sally was great, we enjoyed our time with her magik the monkey and all the dogs! and a special shout to the fabulous drivers! Thanks for the great night out boys! pick up from the airport was smooth, scooters were ready with in an hour of requesting them. And any information/directions we needed were very helpful. The lodging itself was good the rooms are tidy and cleaned during the week, the lagoon pool was a great cool off at night. understanding your not in a hotel is important the living areas are all open so there are flies and bugs if you can't handle that stay in a hotel. The location is suited for travellers who are looking to go and explore, it's a central location closer to denpasar, and it is about 15 mins to all the areas that you want to go see. 45 mins scooter to tah nah lot temple.
Sally has been a great host. She organized airport pick up for us for a small extra, then she was very informative and supportive eg fix the phone to the local network, motorbikes, getting around, etc.
The house is located mid way between the two coasts so we it is easy to reach one or another.
The room was clean and cleaned on a daily basis and the other guests were gorgeous.
Overall a great start for our first time in Bali.
This is the room of my extended stay(room changed). It's small and basic but with nice bathroom and separate access from the garden!
Sally is simply a wonderful person and was a warm welcoming host. I'm specially thankful to the festive dinner (celebrate a Chinese festival) with Sally and her friends and the Bali CS community I met, amongst many treasure moments I had during my visit in Bali and at Sally's.
The house is filled with characters(so as the puppies!), different rooms with a little different touch. In-room is clean and comfortable. The area is a very local and that's exactly what I wanted to experience, on the other hand it's not far from Kuta central and Seminyak, when if u want some lovely night life and fancy shopping;p
I was traveling alone and felt safe staying at/with Sally(she has many stories to share if ur also sharing:D). I feel like she's my family in Bali and I hope to return visiting soon. Oh have I mentioned, there's a brand new red room next to the kitchen(I helped tiny bit with the decoration), u should definitely try! xxx
We had a really nice time at Sally's house. We stayed in a big, comfortable room. Sally is a very helpful host. She likes to share her stories and knowledge about Bali with you and recommends nice places to visit and enjoy food. Her place is located in a calm street a short taxi ride away from Kuta. A great place to start your holiday on Bali!

Hello my new Friends!!
Sally is Australian and first came to Bali with Australian Volunteer International working as a midwife consultant/capacity builder helping to establish a Birth Centre for the Poor of Bali in Denpasar. She then fell in love with Bali and now lives here. Sally still provides consultancy for the Birth Centre and donates 10% of the homestay income to supporting the women, babies and families who use the clinic.
i have now opened my home to guests and I am having so much fun sharing life and Balinese culture with my homestay family.
My life is not perfect but it is full of love and humanity.
