The Space

Beautiful 1-bedroom apartment in the heart of San Francisco's sunniest neighborhood, the Mission District, one block from Dolores Park.

The apartment was completely remodeled in 2010, and it is in a charming turn-of-the-century building. It has beautiful hardwood floors, crown molding and high ceilings. There is one bedroom separated from the large, bright living room by French doors. There is an eat-in kitchen and a bathroom with shower and tub. Quarter-operated washer and dryer are available in the building.

I keep the apartment tidy and I have it professionally cleaned before each visitor's stay. I am trying out Airbnb's new integration with Homejoy that will bring fresh, hotel-quality sheets and towels to the apartment at the beginning of each stay.

Located on a small, quiet block of the Mission, the best of the neighborhood is only minutes' walk away:
- Restaurants (Delfina, Range, Flour + Water)
- Brunch (Tartine Bakery, Boogaloos, Beretta)
- Markets (Bi Rite)
- Coffee shops, ice cream parlors (Philz, Blue Bottle, Humphrey Slocombe)
- Shops (Heath Ceramics, Unionmade)
- Bars (Elbo Room, Amnesia, Latin American Club)
- Galleries (Carte Blanche photo gallery)
- Sites (Mission Dolores church and park)
- Public transportation (BART, Muni and city bus)

Street parking is available. There is a paid parking garage a few blocks away (22nd St and Valencia). The apartment is a half flight of stairs up from the ground.

  • The apartment was just as pictured, and very lovely. The neighborhood is super cool, and we had a great time. Parking can be tricky, but we moved our car every 2 hours between the allotted times and paid nothing for parking. Amazing restaurants, cafes, and bars all within walking distance. Washer and dryer in the apartment is a huge plus.

  • Brett's place is 100% as described. The location is best of the city close to Dolores Park and my fave street 24th st. If the place is available next time I am in, will absolutely love to stay there again.

  • We stayed at Brett's place for two nights on very short notice. The flat was perfect for us. It was exactly like the photos and in a great neighborhood. It was my first Airbnb experience, so I was probably a little annoying with all my questions, but Brett was extremely responsive and made things totally easy from beginning to end.

  • I would highly recommend Brett's place in the heart of the Mission District. It was clean comfortable and spacious and located close to Valencia Street and Mission Street (well worth a visit). We we're really made to feel at home during our stay, what can I say it's a 10 out of 10 from me.

  • Brett's place as a pleasure. Accurately described and he made sure everything was taken care of despite one little hiccup. He went beyond what we expected to make sure we were pleased with the stay. Great host!

  • The apartment was well located near Valencia Street. The Bart was a short walk away with SF center in easy reach. The place was clean, in good condition and served our needs perfectly. WiFi, TV and Apple TV were bonuses.

  • I arrived late and was a bit confused about where it was due to a bug in AirBnB and (website hidden) maps interaction; but Brett was super helpful, kind, and flexible.

The place was lovely, great location, and Brett had made it feel very homely, including a little basket of things that might be useful and some snacks. Bed was super-comfy, and generally felt very happy there.

    Great hosting!

  • My wife and I were looking for an affordable space in a great area and we found everything we were looking for in Brett's apartment. It was clean, cute, and close to a lot of restaurants. Brett also responded promptly to all questions. We would definitely stay there again.
