Your own apartment in a beautiful and unusual "bastide" farmhouse. In the Segala region of the Tarn, south-west France (70 miles from Toulouse). There are two bedrooms, a large kitchen/lounge and your own bathroom and toilet. The price of 45 euros is for 1 or 2 people, for 3 it is 55 euros and for 4 it is 65 euros.
You will feel as if you have gone back in time to a quieter and more peaceful period with very few of today's stresses being present during your stay.
Your apartment gives onto the first floor balcony surrounding the secluded and private large inner courtyard full of plants and flowers which guests can use; sunbathing, sitting and relaxing, eating etc.with plenty of chairs, tables, loungers and a hammock.

There are also gardens, a small orchard and vegetable plots with chairs, loungers and hammocks etc dotted about where you can tranquilly relax and a hottub plus various games etc
We have kept the original style and features of the farmhouse and while the rooms are comfortable and well furnished they are rustic with an individual and old world feel. You are staying in someone's home, not an anonymous place.
During your stay you can, if you want to,share the daily life here a bit and for instance have dinner with us (just discuss it in the morning)
My home is in a small hamlet of 8 houses, very picturesque and rural, and an ideal centre from which to explore the beautiful countryside. You can walk directly into the surrounding hills and valleys and continue as far as you desire. Or you could walk down to the river Viaur for a swim (or 5-10 minutes drive) or take one of my canoes. The countryside is beautiful and secluded and a haven for wildlife.
The nearest village with shops is 5-10 minutes drive while there are many picturesque and charming villages nearby and many restaurants and cafes a short drive away. Also Albi a UNESCO world heritage site and a very beautiful and interesting town is 40 minutes drive.
There is no public transport to my hamlet but if you do not have a car i am happy to arrange 'pick ups' from the nearby rtailway station. And i will be delighted to give you recommendations and advice to help you enjoy your stay in the area
Sitting in the courtyard you can often feel far away from the cares and preoccupations of everyday life and in a timeless world apart as if you have slipped back a century or two
You can use all the shared facilities and spaces etc in the gardens and courtyard and activity barn but please make sure that you tidy and clean up afterwards and return any articles etc borrowed to where you found them. You cannot smoke in any of the rooms but you may outside in the courtyard and gardens (please use an ashtray)
We enjoyed our stay very much. There was a friendly and relaxed atmosphere. The area is lovely and David gave us useful advice about where to go.
What a magic place. Such a beautiful collection of buildings centred around a serene courtyard. We met such interesting people. We loved sitting and chatting . What a shame it was only two days. I would not tire of this place and would love to go back.
This is a very special, magical place. We wish we could have spent more than just 2 days here. David is a warm, thoughtful host who welcomes you as family. He is also a superb cook who orchestrated a brilliant pot luck meal with all the guests. Our children were welcomed and there was plenty for them to do. We all loved our stay. Thank you, David!

I love being in nature, gardening, building and restoring where i live . In the spring and summer i enjoy swimming in the nearby river, working outside, lazing around and relaxing in my courtyard with friends under the stars. I am very easy going and open to new experiences and people and try not to take myself too seriously. I am interested in alternative lifestyles and ways of being, have had lots of adventures and worked as a cranial osteopath for 25 years..
