About this listing
Seastone House, a large stone home, located in one of Ireland's most exquisite areas, is a unique, warm and comfortable luxury home on a hill overlooking the harbour of Dingle Bay. It is totally private with large garden and water and mountain views from every room in the house, all accessed by French doors to lower and upper balconies. The large, modern kitchen has seating for four with every amenity one could possibly need. There is also a large formal dining room, half bath and lovely salon with large fireplace for evenings in front of a hot peat fire, all looking out over the harbour. Upstairs each room also has its own balcony. The master bedroom is en suite with full bath, fireplace and balcony, and the second guest bedroom also has its own balcony and shares a full bath with the office. The office couch also has a pull out bed which is most comfortable. All beds are queen size. Views from all three balconies upstairs are spectacular. The home is beautifully and comfortably furnished with over-stuffed couches and chairs, TV, internet and every modern convenience. There is also a good supply of DVDs and VCRs for the guests enjoyment. The delightful town of Dingle is a 15 minute walk or five minute drive away where there are some of the best restaurants in all of Ireland. The Dingle pubs are also great for good food, as well as good Irish music and there is no lack of them in the town. As for a bit of shopping, the many shops carry both traditional and luxury items - you won't have to leave town to fill your suitcase with the best of Ireland. And there is a lovely pier walk which is breathtaking, one of many walks in the area within minutes of the home. The crisp, pure air and Atlantic breezes make it one of the cleanest and healthy places on the planet to live, or visit. You are only an hour away from such renowned treasure spots as the Lakes Killarney, or the Ring of Kerry and only 20 minutes from the wild and beautiful Slea Head Drive which has some of the oldest antiquities in all of Europe. If it is castles or dining, walking, horse trekking, hidden beaches and inlets or boating, this lovely place has them all, including its own world famous Dingle Dolphin by the name of Fungi, who just loves to accompany the boats, or swim with those who want to don a wet suit and get into the clean, beautiful waters. Or, should you feel less adventurous, evenings in front of the fire with one of the many books in the library is just the thing. This is a hneymooners dream, or an adventure of a lifetime, or both!

We loved our stay at Mailynn's house. It was completely as advertised,in a great and scenic location, and very quiet. Dingle is a great town but it was very crowded and parking was very difficult so we just walked into town which was fine. We hit the double whammy of a bank holiday and the Dingle Races. We didn't meet Marilynn but the lady who met us, Kathlynn , was just a lovely lady and very helpful. Marilynn also has a detailed sheet for the house and town.Highly recommend this home. This is our second stay at the Seastone House. We love this property. It is warmly decorated, well-situated, and very nice - luxurious. The view is absolutely outstanding with decks off of every room and an unobstructed view of the bay. Ballinaboula (the neighborhood) is on the edge of town and all nearby houses are similarly luxurious. The house is just above Goat street and about a 1K walk from the great pubs of Dingle. Walking North from the house is a low traffic country lane. There is a great hiking trail that goes up to Connor Pass that starts within 500 ft of the driveway (just above fire station). Dingle Horse riding is 500 meters north. Driving into town is easy and you can find parking even when town is bustling. The Super Value is a 3 minute drive with parking and really nice. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
Out family of four had a wonderful stay at Seastone House. It had everything we needed and was just a short two minute drive to Main Street and the Marina. It was a very nice place to call home as we toured the peninsula and the ring of kerry. Slea Head drive was also just a few minutes away. We would highly recommend this home for future visitors.
Marilynn and Kathleen were warm and friendly hosts who welcomed us warmly and helped fix a small Internet problem. Very happy with their quick responses.
It was a great pleasure to stay at the Seastone House and Marilynn was the perfect host even though we came very spontaneously right after New Year.
There is a beautiful fireplace we used to sit by every evening.
Dingle is a very lovely village and the House is just a 5 min. walk away.
Hopefully we will be back soon!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Seastone. Marilynn was very helpful prior to our arrival. The house was as described and really felt like a home from home. The house is located on a quiet road just outside the town which adds to the charm of having a nice rural retreat only a 5-10min walk from the Main St.
The views from every aspect of the house are excellent and every room has a balcony from which you can grab a blast of fresh Kerry air!
New Years eve was a great time to be in Dingle and Marilynn and Kathleen were available any time to provide assistance if necessary. We would have no hesitation in recommending this property and are already looking for to returning.
We had a wonderful week in this lovely house with stunning views and easy access to one of Ireland’s most beautiful areas, regardless of the weather. Thank you Marilynn and Kathleen.

About the Host, Marilynn
I'm an Irish mom, and a grandma who loves going on adventures, often with one of my daughters or a granckids. I've always loved hospitality, running a b&b for 8 years on Vashon Island (still have a lovely cabin there which I rent). I've also lived 14 years half time in Jerusalem, Israel, where I worked in communities that were quite poor and also wrote stories for two different Christian organizations. Traveling is one of my life's greatest joys, but writing is my passion. Have just finished a book of Israel's stories and now hope to do the same with some Irish stories and legends. I built Seastone House to be a haven and a retreat for me with the hope of being able to share it with others who would love it as I do. While I now live part time in Ireland, I also loved living in Israel and often travel there from Ireland for visits. Being in Dingle is one of my chief delights and I never tire of my Seastone House or the picturesque town, or the absolutely lovely people who have so kindly included me as part of this community. Dingle has so many beautiful, cultural spheres and so many ancient antiquities that I have yet to visit them all. And the beauty of this area would inspire any traveler. I do love being in the hospitality business, and serving people, knowing that I have been able to help create a happy time apart for them as they travel. Each guest
is my priority and my desire is that every one will come away happy, rested and with a new lease on life, and a story to tell. I know my guests will feel welcome and happy here at Seastone House, as am I when in residence.
airbnb suggests that we hosts tell you about other things we like. And that can be a long list, so here are some of my special delights: knowing God and knowing He knows me; my family and my "adopted" families; seeing children happy and free; writing; telling stories; reading historical books - simply love history; teaching (sometimes give seminars); swimming; biking; cooking; learning-anything; going to school-still do; hospitality-any time I can share what I have with others; family gatherings, especially if at my house; Christmas; Chanuka; all forms of beauty, especially of character; Dingle Peninsula; Ring of Kerry; the Jezreel Valley; Jerusalem; water in any form-lakes, ocean, streams, water falls; quiet times apart.
Hope you dear readers now know who your hostess is and if I can create a "place apart" for you in Ireland, I would be honored.
