My apartment is right on the border of the two best neighborhoods in Brooklyn (or possibly all of New York). Fort Greene and Clinton Hill are bustling with gourmet restaurants of all flavors reflecting the multicultural landscape of this area.
Close to public transportation, BAM, Brooklyn Museum, Prospect Park, Fort Greene Park, Pratt, dining, groceries, Dekalb Market, bars and nightlife.
Your private room offers you an incredibly comfortable queen size bed with a down feather bed and comforter and big fluffy pillows, desk, closet, TV with Showtime, HBO, and Cinemax, an Ipod dock station for music, and Wifi. The full bathroom in the photo may or may not be private depending on whether or not the other bedroom is being rented. You can look at my other listing to see the other bedroom. You also have full use of the living room, kitchen, dining room, and large backyard garden. For the summer months you'll have a uniquely large wooden deck with gourmet grill and outdoor seating and lounging. In the winter you can enjoy the wood burning fireplace in the comfortable living area.
I'm very quiet when I am home and have a large space of my own so you may not even know I'm there. I have cats and a small dog, I keep your bedroom closed off to them but if you don't like pets you may not like this place.
I almost forgot to mention that every Saturday the Brooklyn Flea Market happens a block from the apartment. It's a really cool place to find vintage Americana and yummy street food.
My girlfriend and I had a lovely time staying at Marci's garden apartment. Marci, was very responsive and made sure to meet us at the apartment to let us in. The place is modern and tastefully decorated. It was easy to get into Manhattan from her place and there are some great little restaurants to eat at nearby. We recommend breakfast at Olea's! We did find the apartment can feel a little dark with it being a garden apartment, but this is fine as you are in NY to experience the city and not stay home :) I recommend staying here.
We appreciated Marci's super quick response to our last minute request to stay at her place, and had a great experience there. Comfortable bed, clean well organized bathroom with a great shower and plenty of clean towels, and amazingly convenient to subway and BAM and the Brooklyn Flea market and all the places we wanted to go. Highly recommend!
Great roomy apartment in Brownstone building with very comfortable bed. Direct TV in room, and all the amenities possible from fresh towels to quality shampoos and any other necessary bathroom product! The pets were pristine and well behaved. The host was very helpful and friendly. I highly recommend this place.
I had a great experience staying with Marci! The apt is in a great location, and the space is clean, organized and well designed. I would certainly recommend Marci as a host to anyone I know traveling through Brooklyn. Thanks again!
Marci's a gracious and wonderful host. The apartment, the bedroom, the bed, the bath - you name it, was clean and welcoming. It's also a great location on a nice quiet street, but near places to eat, etc. Would gladly stay here again. Thanks.
Marci was the perfect Host! Her home was super accessible from the train stop, just one block! The neighborhood had charm and lots to do within walking distance. Upon arriving Marci and her friendly pets greeted us at the door, offering a cup of Hot tea. Super sweet! Her home was clean and had tons of charm. We asked her tons of questions about the local area, and she had lots of great suggestions for us! The bathroom was well stocked with any toiletries you might need and there was mints and water waiting bedside. Marci was very accommodating and super helpful with anything we might have needed. In the morning she offered us coffee and freshly baked blueberry muffins. We couldn't have felt more at home! Definitely would recommend staying in her beautiful Home and would return for a stay in a heartbeat.
A home away from home. Marci is amazing! Anything I needed, she takes care of, instantly. I've never had a better host. She's quite fun to be around and has loads of Information to help with your travels.
She has 4 amazing pets you will meet, all of which you will love. The location is amazing, couldn't ask for a better spot for my first time in the big apple. Beautiful, warm, and cozy place. The bed was great, and the room was heated, what more can you want? Oh, the house is also spotless clean.
Overall great experience with NY and Marci. I will definitely be back and when I do, I'm staying here once more. You should too .

I'm originally from northern California but have been living in New york for the past 20 years, in Brooklyn for the past 9. I really love the city and would be happy to give suggestions or traveling advice if you're not sure of where to go or how to get there. I have a small vintage clothing shop in Park Slope, Brooklyn and that's where you'll find me most every day, at night I'm usually enjoying the great restaurants and nightlife in my neighborhood.
