Our Blue Studio is a gorgeous, bright and very spacious room. It is a totally private bedroom with a Queen Size Bed, bedside tables with night lights, a living room area with couch, table and chairs to enjoy a private breakfast or simply a good coffee enjoying the view of the Empire State Building. It has an A/C and heater. We offer fresh linens, towels and comforters.

There's 2 bathrooms shared between women and men. It's spotless! There's organic fresh lavender soap for a delicious shower.

There's a beautiful open kitchen / coffee bar at our common area with fridge, microwave, toaster, coffee maker, water boiler and delicious organic brazilian tasty coffee and teas for our guests to enjoy a simple coffee time or making their breakfast at home.

The common space at our loft is used as an art studio. It has many uses, it's rented as a work and meeting space for artists, rehearsals, dance and yoga classes, or if not in use, as a hang out place.

  • This loft is in a trendy part of NYC and within walking distances to two subway stations. You will even find a great coffee at one of the nearby cafés . The space is good with a shared bathroom and kitchen . Be prepared for the noise as it is an old warehouse on a very busy intersection. Windows are not double glazed so you will need good ear plugs. Pack light as there are several flights of stairs. The shared kitchen is well appointed and an asset. We had some confusion when we arrived do make sure you reconfirm your visit just before you go. The blue room is pretty and a great size- we would go again but be aware that Airbnb is illegal in NYC and this could present problems.

  • We staied in the blue studio. The room as very big/spacious and bright as all walls were full windows which was great for the light and view. The downsaid though is that it is very loud at night. The studio is on the second floor and at a crossing of two main streets - so make sure you bring earpluggs.
The loft in general is spacious and very clean. It helps that there are two bathrooms (ladys and gents) as there are several rooms rented out. Also the bathrooms are very clean (sometimes a bit difficult to get warm wather for the shower - but it works if you are patient).
The loft is just at the boarder of china town - safe and close to metro station (grand St) - but sometimes smelly but that is normal for china town - it has it's very own character.

  • I found the Blue Studio in the Beautiful LES Loft a great place to stay in New York. It is tastefully decorated, very clean, light thanks to large windows, with access to a good kitchen, and located on walking distance to great neighborhoods (Lower East Side, Chinatown, Little Italy, Nolita, Soho).

WiFi works very well, so I could also get a lot of work done at the large table.

The owners solved the arrival situation very well when I arrived two hours later than expected because of a flight delay due to tornado warnings in Denver: Raquel Dutra's nephew was there to open the door for me and kindly helped me with my suitcase.

I was also touched by the thoughtfulness of the owners: I found a large bottle of mineral water to welcome me, as well as some earplugs :-) (Indeed the street can be noisy.)

  • A brilliantly located and gorgeous guest-room in a very clean, open space in Chinatown. Sharing a bathroom was not a problem and the owners (although we didn't meet Raquel) were very friendly and welcoming. Like everyone says, it is extremely noisy, although earplugs are provided and help enormously. It felt like staying in a hotel for a fraction of the price, and I would highly recommend The Blue Studio.

  • Our stay was perfect!! The loft is beautiful and very cozy. We also loved that everything was so clean and neat. The location is amazing, the subway is only about 3-5 minutes away and you can also walk almost everywhere. SoHo is almost right around the corner. From the bed we had an amazing view on the Empire State Building and also the Chrysler Building!! I stood in some hotels in NYC before and I never had such an amazing view. The loft is really something special and I can only recommend it! I hope I'll stay there another time again.

  • Great location, clean space, welcoming hosts. This studio was part of a shared living space but we rarely saw or heard other guests. I would definitely consider staying here again.

  • We enjoyed our stay at les loft (blue room) very much. nice, clean & spacy room, enough space for the three of us, rachel was always helpful and the atmosphere was good. Thanks again for having us!

  • I loved the blue room. It was spacious, comfortable, and the amount of light streaming through the windows was fabulous. The bedding quality was good. The entire space, including the artists area, kitchen, and both bathrooms were always clean and inviting.
I felt completely safe wandering around exploring the neighborhood alone at night. As others' have stated, the street noise can get pretty loud at night but there were earplugs provided. I would definitely recommend Raquel's place and as I've decided to make NYC a yearly trip will definitely stay here again.
My only complaint is that I didn't have enough time to sit and talk with Raquel for a while. She has such a warm and inviting spirit.
