Relax with the whole family at this peaceful place to stay . Chapel Cottage is situated at the base of one of the islands tallest sand dunes that is home to the historic 1938 Chapel on the Dunes. The cottage is perfect for sharing time with the family. Cedar walls throughout, artwork and decor give the cottage a nostalgic feel. The Bunk room is a great kid space and there is a view of the historic chapel. No pets. Airbnb will collect the state tax of 6%. We will collect the local tax 9%

The space
The cottage has a lovely family room with ample seating and a large flat screen TV and DVD player. Spectrum cable and Spectrum high speed internet is in place to connect your devices. The kitchen, dining and living room are all open space and allow for fantastic connections with all members of your group. There is a breakfast bar that seats 3 and a large dining table in the kitchen area. There is a bedroom with a queen bed, a bedroom with a king bed and a bunk room with 4 XL bunks and a queen sized pull out sofa sleeper. The bunk room has a wall mounted television and a DVD player. There are 2 bathrooms and a stackable washer and dryer. There is a fenced in backyard with a grill and picnic table. The beach is a short walk away. The cottage will sleep 10 people. The minimum age to book is 25 yrs. No pets, No smoking. We will collect the local hotel tax, which is 7 percent of the room rate. Airbnb will collect the state tax.

Guest access
The historic chapel built in 1938 is the oldest chapel on the island and called the 8th wonder of Port Aransas. The chapel is just up the sand dune from the cottage. The chapel is part of this property but completely separate for visitors and does not interfere with chapel cottage. For information on the chapel and the chapel tours, please visit the Port Aransas Museum for their tour dates. Weddings take place at the chapel, once or twice per month, but the groups are small intimate groups of family and friends. It is not uncommon to see a wedding party access the Chapel. The chapel parking is separate from the cottage and clearly marked.

No pets allowed and no smoking. minimum age to book is 25 yrs. We will collect the local hotel tax, which is 7% of the room rate.
