Interaction with Guests

I have hosted many guests in Philadelphia and I am happy to help provide recommendations or answer any questions. If you don't catch me at home, you can reach me any time via text, phone, or email for anything.

Getting around

You can pretty much walk (or bike) anywhere in Philly. I can help if you have any specific questions on how to get somewhere. Rittenhouse Square, Avenue of the Arts, City Hall/Love Park, University of Pennsylvania, 30th Street Station, Bus/Subway/Trolley stops, and great bars/restaurants are all a short walk away. Or take a stroll along the river on the nearby bike/walking path right to the Philadelphia Museum of Art. You have the choice of walking or taking public transport to places like the Convention Center, Historic District, and Liberty Bell. Cabs are frequent in this neighborhood, so you can always get around that way too.

If you are interested in renting bikes just let me know. There are plenty of bike lanes throughout the city.

  • Kristine's apartment nicely captures the charm and character of Philly. Located within walking distance of town and main attractions. A great place to stay for those wanting to feel like a local.

  • Great location, easy to get to from the airport by train. Host was welcoming and gave us everything we needed to explore the city for the first time. Would definitely stay here again.

  • Everything about Kristine's place was perfect: the location within the city, the nearby restaurants and bars, and the coziness of the setup made for a wonderful time during our stay in Philly. If you need a homebase to explore the city in comfort, look no further than the House with the Yellow Door.

  • Kristine had an adorable and comfortable house. The neighborhood was in a perfect location, only a 25-30 minute walk to downtown and some great coffee shops and restaurants nearby. The WiFi was fast and the bed was comfortable. I had all that I needed. Kristine was a pleasant and kind host and I enjoyed my stay. Thanks Kristine!

  • My girlfriend and I had a wonderful stay in Kristine’s guest room. The room was exactly what we wanted, an excellent place to return to after a day of exploring. Kristine is a pro, she had the room clean and set up for us when we arrived, including the gamut of Philadelphia tourist pamphlets and instructions on how to join the Wifi network framed and available on the desk. Her house is in a lovely residential neighborhood that we really enjoyed walking through, and which had several nice cafes and restaurants along South Street. Kristine also suggested two good local bars to try, Grace Tavern and Sidecar, that were both perfect for watching the Olympics after a long day. We certainly recommend Kristine’s room to anyone considering an Airbnb in Philadelphia.

  • My boyfriend and I had a great two night stay in Kristine's apartment. Great location, comfy bed and smooth communication. I didn't meet Kristine myself but Josh did briefly and said she was lovely. Thanks Kristne!

  • Was nice being there. Thank you :)

    December 2013
  • OMG this is the cutest place ever. Kristine has such a beautiful home that it was a real treat to stay here. Our room had a pull out bed which was nice but towards the end of our stay our backs were starting to hurt. The room was very spacious and the bathroom is super cute. We hardly saw Kristine and began to think she was a ghost. The location is great and Philly is a walking city. 30 mins walk into the main tourist area (i.e. Liberty Bell). Walking through her neighborhood is fascinating as the houses are beautiful. There is a few local places to purchase groceries and heaps of local cafes and restaurants. I would highly recommend this place and host!
