Getting Around

The apartment is very close to all major transit bus and trains. The subway stations closest are Prater and Nestroyplatz.

The metro is just 2 mins walk away in either direction; city center is just 1 metro station away; St. Stephen's Cathedral is only 2 metro stations

Boat and ferries are only 1 metro station away.

The closest parking lot is at a nearby Shell gas station next to the ferris wheel. Cost: 5 Euros/24 hours.

From the AIRPORT

Take any city-bound Schnellbahn (literally means Fast-Train) or the more expensive but faster CityAirportTrain (CAT) from the Airport directly to the station "Praterstern". Expect up to 30 mins wait time; then 25 minute ride. Get off at station. Get on Praterstrasse. 1 minute walk. That's it!

Alternatives: Take a taxi. Should cost around 30 Euros. About 30 minutes drive.

Going back to airport? Book a taxi in advance as low as 26 Euros fixed price!

From WESTBAHNHOF (West Station)

Take U3 (Orange metro line) to Stephansplatz
From there take U1 (Red metro line) to either Praterstern or Nestroyplatz.
From there walk 1 minute to Praterstrasse 59.
This should take you around 20 mins.

Other Things to Note

Please be advised:

Early check-in before 11am and late arrivals after 8pm are charged with 10 Euros; after 11pm with 20 Euros (cleaning staff will have to take a taxi to get home).

Calculate a lateness of 30 min (60 mins if you are traveling by car) into your expected time of arrival. If you arrive over 1 hour late please pay an additional 10 Euros/hour. The cleaning staff is instructed to overlap their cleaning with your arrival to counter this possibility. So please be polite and understanding if they still have some work to do when you arrive.

Read the booking confirmation email from airbnb for exact description of how to get to the apartment from your transport hub.

The owner is not able to do the key exchange himself as he is a very busy person. We kindly ask for your understanding.

The apartment lies facing Praterstrasse which is a main road with plenty of infrastructure. Some people who are extremely sensitive to some minor sounds of cars at night might want to make use of earplugs.

House Rules

Just a few common sense points:

NO cigarettes, candels or incent sticks please - I've experienced a FIRE first hand and I put it out myself (It was very scary).

In Austria people take shoes off in apartment. The floor is new.

Please keep noise down after 10pm. Many neighbours have to get up early for work.

Please smoke ONLY in the hallways out of an open window out of courtesy to the next travelers staying at the flat.

Please THINK about the environment and turn OFF lights you don't need (We don't have nuclear plants in Austria so you are actually burning fossil fuels and creating CO2 every second).
