This combined 2 bedroom apartment offers the following :
1 Bedroom spa apartment ( Bedroom 1 )
The 1 bedroom spa apartment is fully self contained with stove top, microwave, toaster, kettle, full size fridge, coffee and tea facilities, washing machine, and dryer. There is a dining room, lounge, and large verandah to sit and watch the world go by. The bathroom has twin sinks with a corner spa and separate shower and toilet. The bedroom has a queen size bed. The 1 bedroom spa apartment is also equipped with 22 inch LCD TV in the bedroom and 42 inch plasma TV in the lounge with DVD, iPod dock, stereo and alarmclock.
Hotel Room ( Bedroom 2)
This room has either a queen size bed or twin bed occupancy with its own bathroom, kettle, coffee and tea facilities. It is also equipped with a desk, LCD TV, DVD, iPod dock and alarm clock.
The 1 bedroom apartment and the hotel room have a common entrance that can only be accessed by key, once through this common entrance you enter into a foyer that will allow you to access the two rooms. You can lock the common entrance and easily have the two doors to the 1 bedroom apartment and the hotel room open, creating a roomy and comfortable 2 bedroom apartment.

Port Douglas is a small town with a great village atmosphere. It has a small population of 3500 locals. The village feel will have you believing that everyone knows each other and most likely do. Macrossan street is the main street of Port Douglas and it is the centre and heart Port Douglas village life. With boutique shopping, cosmopolitan arts and crafts, world class restaurants at your doorstep.
Courthouse Apartments is ideally situated for the traveller who wants the convenience and ease of being in the centre of all that Port Douglas has to offer. That wishes to be able to walk to the shops, stroll to a cafe or restaurant, take in a band, or just meander to the beach. Everything at your fingertips.

Yes, we loved it. We loved Port Douglas, the apartment and it's proximity to everything:- shops, marina, restaurants, the beach. The apartment is very clean and both tastefully and well appointed. We booked both rooms and it was an excellent arrangement for us to share with our teenage daughter, giving her privacy and her own bathroom. The galley kitchen is small with limited bench space so may not be suitable for those who wish to prepare all their own meals, but with so many eating out options so close-at-hand, why would you? Having said that, there is plenty of equipment to allow you to cook and you could prep at the dining table. The pool and surrounding area is small and would not accommodate many guests at once, but is adequate for a swim and cool-off. The beach is an easy walk and is far more picturesque. The apartment is on the 2nd floor and the building doesn't have lifts which may be an issue for those with mobility problems (but we did find a baggage lift which we appreciated!) While I can honestly say it wasn't an issue for us, I can see that noise may be a problem for those who are light sleepers or who like to go to bed early. With it's close proximity to a number of licensed venues there is noise from patrons and entertainment most nights along with a constant background noise from commercial air conditioners. (I don't think this was a problem in the smaller room and in the larger room closing the balcony doors blocked most of it) Don't get me wrong....we loved this place and would happily stay there again so am just providing info that may help others choose whether it is suitable for them. Lauren is an excellent host and was very helpful with tips etc. and prompt to respond to our queries. Thanks Lauren... we loved the apartment and it helped to make our Port Douglas holiday wonderful!

Fantastic location right in the centre of beautiful Port Douglas. Lauren responded very quickly to any questions we had and we would definitely stay there again.
This apartment is in a great location just off the main street in Port Douglas. About 10 minutes walk from 4-mile beach and within easy reach of lots of cafes, restaurants, shops and the wharf. Parking is free and there were plenty of spaces. Instructions for getting into the apartment were simple and I received a reminder a few days before arriving. The apartment was as described and we enjoyed being there. It felt very private, not overlooked at all even on the balcony (which had some sun all day). Our children enjoyed the small pool for cooling off after being out and about. We arrived on a Sunday afternoon and there was a karaoke session and band in a nearby bar which was really noisy and we were concerned our whole stay would be the same, but it appeared to be a weekly event and our stay was otherwise peaceful. My only caution would be that it was not very easy to fully self-cater in the apartment despite it being equipped with a kitchen. As a family of four we had hoped to cook some of our own meals but found the kitchen too small for this if any kind of food preparation was involved - even making breakfast was a bit of a juggle if the kettle and toaster were out. There was plenty of room for eating though, as well as plenty of kitchenware and the dishwasher and washer and dryer were really useful.
Thank you for a wonderful stay. Lauren was helpful and accommodating to all our needs. The location was brilliant, so close to everything. I was worried about noise with our 10 month old but we slept in the back room and that wasn't a problem. Only thing to be aware of is there are a lot of stairs. There is a baggage lift which is very handy, but unfortunately we only discovered it after we'd lugged our suitcases up to the room. Overall, a wonderful stay.
The description was accurate and the pictures don't do the apartment justice. It's a fantastic space and the accommodations were wonderful. We rented the 2 BR/2 BA option - me, my fiance, and her mom - and there was plenty of space for us to lounge around and still have some privacy when we wanted it. The location is very central and the check-in/check-out processes were simple and well articulated for us even though we got in late at night.
My wife and I, along with our two daughters, stayed in Lauren's apartment for six nights in May. Our experience with both Lauren and the apartment were wonderful.
Lauren provided a wealth of information regarding Port Douglas, activities, etc., in advance of arrival and was very accessible for questions. Lauren was a great host.
As for the apartment, it was perfect for the four of us. The configuration of the two bed rooms provided my wife and I a little separation from our daughters, and the balcony doors, which open fully to the deck, made the apartment feel very open and spacious. Both the marina and Four Mile Beach, which are on opposite ends of Macrossan Street, were within easy walking distance, a nice park is across the street, and there is plenty of dining/shopping opportunities within walking distance.
If and when we find ourselves back in Port Douglas, Lauren's apartment will be our first choice in accomodations.
