Indeed a charming place. It is located in a passage that goes up the hill from trastevere to Giancolo: beautiful, quite and full of plants. In his apartment Guido provides everything for you to feel at home (cooking stuff, basic breakfast staff, toiletries...). the appartment is clean, modern and nicely decorated.
I did not have the change to meet Guido but Marco, a friend of his. A very nice guy, as Guido seems to be also by the messages that we exchanged. I can only recommend this place!
We greatly enjoyed staying at Guido's flat, the choice of flat could not be better!
Spacious, clean, cosy, light, convenient, has everything might needed. Feels like home!
Location: in greet guiet beautiful area, many nice coffee shops near by, we have not used any public transport during our stay: 15 min walking to Panteon etc, 20-25 min walking to Vatican (enjoying fantastic view on Rome from piazza Garibaldi on the way).
Many thanks to Guido, who very efficiently helped with all our issues. Guido has always responded very quickly. He is very friendly and positive! Thank you!!!
Hemos pasado unos días estupendos en Roma en la casa de Guido Romano.Guido ha sido un anfitrión estupendo.A la casa no le falta ningún detalle y encuentras todo lo que se pueda necesitar.Todo muy limpio y acogedor.Recomendable.
We stayed at the Charming Gianicolo for a week over the Christmas period. The apartment is lovely, and perfectly situated. We explored on foot far and wide, but it was lovely to return to the relative peace and charm of Trastevere after a days walking in (website hidden) was also lovely to be able to pop out quickly for evening meals in Trastevere, or to buy food from a market or one of the many deli's. We have a toddler, and the apartment was especially nice for children - as it opens onto a court yard, and there is plenty of room for children to run around in safety.Guido met us on arrival, complete with a bottle of wine and teddy bear chocolate for our little boy! He was also most helpful in arranging taxi's to the airport etc. The apartment is well stocked for self catering purposes, and we hope to be able to return, as Rome has enchanted us. Thank you Guido for your hospitality.
We had a wonderful time in Guido's apartment!
The location is perfect: outside the touristic area, but still in one of the most beautiful areas in Rome: Trastevere.
It's in a high spot, so you get a fine view each time you go back to the house..which is wonderful.
The house itself is clean, nicely arranged, cozy, heated well (it was very cold outside), bed is super comfortable, kitchen is well equipped, and the house is bigger than what it looks like in the pictures.
Guido was very helpful and responsive.
Bottom line - Highly recommended!
Guido was a remarkable host, going to great lengths to solve any questions or issues. Very nice and eager to make sure you have a good stay in his nice apartment.
The location is excellent, quiet yet very easily accessible to the beautiful and fun Trastavere area. The apartment has everything you need and the bed is comfortable. I would recommend this as a good option in Rome!
The apartment was great, bigger than it appears in the photos and very clean and comfortable. Guido was very responsive and helpful in reserving taxis for us. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend the apartment to anyone.
October 2013 - 7 nights. The apartment is located in a beautiful, quiet neighbourhood, with lots of greenery. Very clean, well stocked kitchen, and well supplied overall. Modern and comfortable decor. Space beside the bed is tight but excellent closet space.Good wi-fi. Guido is the perfect, friendly and thoughtful host. Responds to every query very quickly. Lots of Rome travel information in the apartment. He gave us the best map which even had all the bus stops and bus numbers shown.
It was so beautiful and the apartment is exactly as shown in the photos. Super nice furnishings, thought of everything as guide, salt, soap, etc.. We felt very comfortable and Guido can give us a lot of information where we can go away well. Evening you could saunter through the small old streets with a tasty ice cream. Everything was well within walking reach. We love coming back.
What an amazing place! Perfect for my mother and I in September. We walked across the Tiber almost everyday and were quickly in Rome Center. Trams and buses abound as well. We felt especially lucky, nestled against the hill between vibrant Travestere and Gianicolo Hill. The apartment is comfortable and is surrounded by gardens and terraces, very interesting! Guido came over to show us how to use the AC but we only needed it once. He was a wonderful host! I will recommend this place to my friends.
